Story
Meet Angel! 🐾 Angel truly lives up to his name. Despite what appears to have been a difficult life as a stray, he has settled into home life with ease and has been an absolute sweetheart every step of the way. At approximately 2 years old, Angel has the perfect medium energy level. He enjoys walks, playtime, and chewing on his favorite bones and toys, but he’s just as happy to relax and hang out with his people once he’s gotten some activity. Angel is fully crate trained, happily goes into his crate while his foster parents are away, and sleeps quietly through the night. He’s also doing an excellent job with house training and has had very few accidents. Best of all, he isn’t destructive and treats his toys and bones as his preferred chew items. He gets along wonderfully with his foster dog siblings. He’s playful, social, and respectful of their boundaries, making him an easy companion in a multi-dog home. He also walks beautifully on a leash, making daily walks enjoyable. He’d be a great adventure buddy! Whether you’re a first-time dog owner or an experienced adopter looking to add another pup to your family, Angel would make a fantastic companion. He’s up to date on all of his vaccinations, recently neutered, and ready to find a forever home where he can continue to thrive. Everyone deserves an Angel in their life—and Angel deserves a family that will love him forever. Angel’s adoption fee of $350 covers the vet exam, current vaccinations, heartworm/tick testing, preventative, fecal test, wormer, neuter and microchip.

Story
The Butterfly-Chasing Guardian A loyal heart with a spring in her step, Suki will make your world feel grounded and bright! She's confident when she’s keeping watch and lighthearted when the work is done. When she's off duty, you’ll find her rolling in the grass, trotting after butterflies, settling down for long indoor naps, and giving herself a daily back massage on her favorite “tickle tree.” What Makes Her Shine: loyal, steady, eager to follow your lead. A Day in the Life: Wake up, BIG STRETCH, rushing outside to greet the birds and the bees, breakfast, a slow on-leash morning stroll, followed by a long loungey indoor nap, some more outdoor patrolling, maybe a yummy marrow bone, more naps, being brushed (and adored), dinner, maybe a light jog or trail adventure, finishing the evening with some quiet porch time. Her Pet Peeves: crowded or chaotic spaces, surprise introductions (she appreciates slow, polite hellos from new people), sharing her person with other pets or young kids, and swimming (unless she thinks you need rescuing). The Way to Win Her Over: melon and blueberries Skills: crate, leash, and muzzle trained • reliable recall • great house manners Commands: sit, come, wait, stay, down, back, out, off, paw, crate Best Fit: an adults-only, low-traffic home (ideally rural) with a devoted human who appreciates a smart, protective companion with a little sparkle in her eye. Suki's ready to get off the apps and meet her perfect match! Reach out today to set up a first date (porch hang + short walk). Not able to adopt? A quick share to your ranch or rural circles might help Suki find her dream home. https://youtu.be/BhVdi5mSWWc

Story
✨ Meet Fairy Godmother (aka Luna), your Silver Girl! 🐾 Fairy Godmother is a beautiful 7-year-old Siberian Husky with a gentle soul, a sweet nature, and a heart full of love. Her foster calls her “Silver Girl” because her gorgeous coat shines like silver—and she certainly has the wisdom and grace to match. 💕 Luna is the kind of dog who makes companionship look easy. She loves people time, cuddles, and leisurely walks, and she has excellent house manners. She’s calm, obedient, affectionate, and incredibly easy to care for. She’s also crate trained and takes treats ever so gently. These days, Luna is thriving in her foster home. She came to APA very underweight, but with good care she has gained healthy weight and is now a strong, happy girl with plenty of stamina. Her foster says she gets around wonderfully with just one eye following her successful eye surgery—and she certainly doesn’t let that slow her down! 🌟 Like a true Husky, Luna has discovered her voice and may happily let you know when it’s time to go outside. She’s also a strong girl on leash, so she’d love an adopter who appreciates her Husky energy and can give her appropriate outlets for exercise. A walking or running buddy? She may be your girl! 🏃‍♀️🐕 Luna has shown friendly interest in other dogs and has not been aggressive toward them, though thoughtful introductions are always best. Her previous family also described her as wonderful with their kids, saying she loved running and playing with them and patiently tolerated their antics. Most of all, Fairy Godmother is a love. After everything she’s been through, she deserves a soft landing, a cozy bed, plenty of affection, and someone who will cherish her for the wonderful senior lady she is. If your happily-ever-after needs a little more silver, sweetness, and Husky magic, Fairy Godmother may be the one who grants your wish. ✨💗
