Story
Little Candy came to us as a puppy but she seems to have been treated very badly. She was roaming the streets for several days with a broken off chain around her neck and totally terrified. With lots of cheese and patience, one of our street rescuers was able to safe her. She's still very afraid of the world and she will need a calm household with yard access. Candy likes other dogs and we think, that another dog would help her come out of her shell. She's absolutely beautiful and precious as you can see in the pictures! Will you help us, give Candy a nice childhood from now on and a happy life? Basic requirements for Candy's home are an adult household with yard and a compatible dog companion for Candy. Story
Looking for a good home for Bella. My parents adopted Bella from WCRAS in recent months. Though she is typically easy to handle, they've found that her excitement level in certain situations & her size are a concern for them to manage at their age & health condition. She's a good dog, they love her, & I'd like to help them find a more suitable home for her. Bella is typically very calm around the house. She's smart & has a calm demeanor. She likes to be in the same room with you & is good at taking potty breaks. She can get excited when she sees strangers, but has learned to listen much better & does very well with company, including neighbor dogs. She has shown some anxiety when left alone, but they've been working on crate training & she's done very well. She's a pretty 6yr old Husky/German Shepherd mix, ~60lbs, with 1 blue eye & 1 brown eye . I'm happy to answer any questions you may have & adoption fee may be waived for the right adopter. Please help us find a good home for her.

Story
He was found in a dumpster with his siblings and was adopted by us shortly after from the shelter. Very hyper active, and has extreme chewing and what I consider pica. Eats any toy we give him, any furniture he’s around including walls and window edges. I want him to go to someone who knows how to handle extreme behavior like this, because we are at our wits end as renters. Other than his behavioral issues he’s a sweet and loving dog who is very gentle with our cat. Has never shown aggression to people or other animals he has met. Can be a bit skiddish at first but always comes around to wanting to make a new friend.

Story
Hettie is a Husky mix found in Austin on 09/11/23. She is spayed, current on vaccinations, and microchipped. She is blind in her left eye and requires daily eye drops. She is protective, loving, playful, and comfortable with adults and older (10+) children, especially females. She loves running and exploring, car rides, and walks. Hettie would do best in an active household with frequent human presence. She likes being outside for hours in mild weather or cold weather.HETTIE WILL NEED A FENCED YARD FOR ACTIVITY. She does occasionally dig. She does not get along well with other animals and will attack wildlife or intruding strays. She will follow you around constantly until she becomes more comfortable with her new environment, and will very likely prefer to sleep in the same bedroom as you.Hettie will have her own collar & tags, harnesses, leashes, bed, at least 20 lbs dry food, 24 cans wet food, and enough Bravecto for 2026 upon adoption (over $500 in total value)..

Story
Bella is a 5 year old female Husky and weighs about 40 pounds. She is spayed and up to date on her vaccinations. Bella absolutely loves people and is very friendly. She enjoys being around her family, going on walks, and having space to run and play. She is energetic and would do best with someone active who can keep up with her needs. Bella does need to eat separately, as she prefers her own space during mealtime. She gets along well with most dogs. I have one dog she simply does not get along with, and I have to keep them separated 80% of the time, which creates a lot of stress for the whole house. Outside of that, she does well and enjoys attention and companionship. She knows basic routines and settles well when she’s had enough exercise. She loves to snuggle and curl up on the couch. Because she is a husky, please know she's a runner! She needs someone who understands her energy.

Story
He’s sweet dog once he feels comfortable around people. We have 4 kids ranging from 4-13 years old and trust him completely around all of them. Due to no socialization during Covid, he has high anxiety around new people and animals, and can bark and get aggressive. He needs to be introduced slowly and carefully to new people. Should NOT go to a house with young kids who would try to approach him before he is comfortable. He follows directions, is house trained, and is a great dog for our family but we don’t have the time to train him or exercise him properly. He needs a home that has time for his energy and doesn’t have an environment that introduces new people and animals regularly or is easily able to keep him controlled entire time. Must be strong enough to handle him on walks as he cannot contain his energy at the outset. Does the fun husky howls, definitely sweet once he accepts you as his pack. Will provide all food/crate/toys and transferable lifetime Bark Buster trainer access!

Story
Handsome Hachi is really super handsome. His coat is so soft and fluffy. Hachi's family kicked him out when he was not a puppy anymore. He was very confused because he's a sensitive, sweet dog and he didn't understand what had happened. Hachi has stabilized now and is ready for a loving home. He lived with another Husky before so with the right match, he would be good with a companion. Hachi is a goofball and likes to be silly. He loves to play ball and show off. Hachi has a very sweet soul and is looking for a calm, adult household that will love him forever!
