Story
Say hello to Tumbler, the Husky with excellent eyebrows and a soul-searching gaze to charm anyone! This playful pup was surrendered to the Fauquier SPCA through no fault of his own, and now he`s on a quest to find a family who knows how to speak `Husky.` Tumbler LOVES meeting people, and there’s nothing he likes more than belly rubs and ear scratches. He gets along with other dogs, but likes to take his time making new furry friends. He’s all about slow introductions and good vibes! Tumbler is currently mastering his manners and working hard to be the goodest boy he can possibly be, so he would thrive in a home ready to continue his training. He`s neutered, microchipped, and totally up to date on his vaccinations, so he’s ready for action! Are you ready for a new adventure? Come meet Tumbler at the shelter any day except Wednesdays from 12–4 PM. He can`t wait to wag his tail and say hi!

Story
Archer is a 2 year old husky mix who came to our rescue in September after being saved moments before euthanasia at an overcrowded Los Angeles shelter. He is one of the sweetest dogs around; always laying his head in your lap for scratches. He loves stuffed toys and other dogs, but no cats for this guy! Archer is crate trained, but he does sometimes need coaxing to initially go in. He is cuddly, and likes to follow you around room to room. He is the perfect age to bond with a new family— over the puppy and destructive teenage stage, and comfortable in the calm, loving stage. He comes when called, but hasn’t mastered fetch yet. Come meet this angel of a dog and try not to fall in love with his charm!

Story
Hi! I'm Ella, your future best friend. I love being around people, especially kids—they're so much fun! I'm very gentle and sweet, making me a perfect family companion. I'm also quite smart and understand quickly what you ask of me. Walks? I'm a pro with a leash, always ready for adventures or just a peaceful stroll. Playtime is my favorite, and I cherish every moment we can toss a ball or play tug-of-war. Looking for a loyal, loving friend? I'm right here waiting to fill your home with joy and friendship! Adoption Process you are ready to meet the pet, please fill out an online adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your internet browser: https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/10666/generic Once your application is submitted, we will contact the vet reference provided. If you do not yet have a vet, please provide three personal references – these could be family and friends who can attest to your pet parenting skills. A volunteer will schedule a phone interview with you. The interview and application help our fosters find their forever home by ensuring a good match.   The Louisa Humane Society does not have a brick and mortar facility, so all of our pets are in foster care. Once approved, the foster parent will reach out to arrange a visit. The foster family can tell you all about her likes, dislikes, and little quirks.  The application and visit do not oblige you to adopt, but if you’re ready to take the pet home as your furry forever friend, the adoption fee is $150. ##2533709##

Hi, I'm Lucy! I'm young and full of energy. My days are filled with play, thanks to my love for toys. Fetch is my favorite game, but I'm always up for learning new ones! I'm also a smart cookie. I've mastered walking on a leash, and I'm always eager to learn more. My friendly nature means I adore people. I love giving sweet doggy kisses and receiving belly rubs in return. I'm not just playful and sweet, but also loyal. I promise to be your best friend, your confidante, your walking partner, and your source of endless joy. Why should you adopt me? Well, I believe every home needs a dash of Lucy love, a sprinkle of my energy, and a heap of my loyalty. I promise to make your life a lot more fun and full of love! Story
Meet Sky! She came to the shelter as a surrender and is about 6 years old. Meet Sky, a sweet and gentle little lady looking for a calm, loving home to call her own. Sky came to the shelter as a surrender, so she can be a little shy when meeting new people at first. But once she gets to know you, her true personality shines; her tail starts wagging, and she gets so excited to head outside for walks and spend time by your side. Sky is very well behaved and polite, making her an easy companion to have around the house. She enjoys attention from her people and will happily repay your kindness with lots of love and loyalty. Sky would prefer to be the only dog in the home, as she isn’t very fond of other dogs. But she promises to make up for it with all the affection and companionship you could ever need. If you'd like to be Sky's furever home you can call (540) 778-2101 or email animalshelter@pagecounty.virginia.gov.
