Story
At around 2 years old, Mabel is a beautiful Husky mix with all the intelligence, personality, and adventurous spirit you`d expect from the breed. She`s happiest when she`s on the move and loves going on runs, exploring on a long walk, splashing around in a kiddie pool, or playing with her dog friends. She also loves toys and is always ready for her next adventure.Mabel is incredibly smart... maybe a little too smart! She`s become quite the escape artist and has proven she`s capable of climbing or finding her way over fences. Because of this, she`ll do best with a family that`s comfortable exercising her on a secure tie out or leash rather than relying on a fenced yard. Keeping both her mind and body busy will help this clever girl thrive. When Mabel first arrived, she was a little unsure of new people, but she`s made wonderful progress and continues to gain confidence every day. We think she`d do well with respectful children after a slow introduction, and she has the cutest quiet little husky howl that she saves for when she`s excited to head out for a walk.Mabel has also been spending time in a foster home, where she`s continued to show just how adaptable she can be. While she doesn`t do well being kenneled, she`s been successful being left loose in the home for 2–3 hours at a time. She`s also done well attending doggie daycare, where she enjoys spending time with other dogs. Like many Huskies, she forms strong bonds with her people and does experience some separation anxiety, so she`d be happiest with a family that`s home frequently or willing to continue building her confidence with time alone. She also absolutely loves having canine friends to romp around with. Because she has a high prey drive, we think she`d do best in a home without cats.If you`re looking for a fun, active companion who will keep you laughing with her clever antics, join you on every adventure, and reward you with endless love and adorable husky `conversations,` Mabel just might be the perfect fit for you. Please note:- Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed.-Applications can be downloaded from our website. Story
Thor is a 4-year-old, three-legged pup who`s currently on the road to recovery and looking for a foster-to-adopt home while he continues to gain weight and get back to feeling his best. Missing a leg certainly doesn`t stop him. Thor gets around great, loves to happily hop around when he`s excited, and is always content taking his time sniffing around on walks.Thor has an affectionate side, too. He enjoys curling up with his people, leaning in for scratches, and relaxing after a day of exploring. He`s also a big fan of chewing on Nylabones to keep himself entertained. As part of his recovery, Thor is on a strict feeding regimen to help him gain weight. Because of this, he`ll need a home where he can be fed separately from any resident pets to ensure he gets every meal he needs and doesn`t do any extra snacking! He`ll also need to be weighed daily so we can monitor his progress and make sure he`s staying on track.Thor has previously lived with other dogs and did well with them. We aren`t sure how he would do with cats, but we think he would do well in a home with older, respectful children.Thor is looking for a family that`s ready to help him through the last part of his recovery before making his adoption official. If you`re looking for a laid back companion who enjoys both outdoor adventures and quiet time at home, Thor may be the perfect addition to your family. Please note: - Our website (www.neenahanimalshelter.org) is updated in real time, so we are accepting applications for all animals that are currently listed. - Applications can be downloaded from our website. (http://neenahanimalshelter.org/how-to-adopt.html) - Our shelter has open visiting hours for cats, however pre-approved application are needed prior to an adoption. Appointments may be scheduled with an approved application as well, otherwise we may not be able to accommodate same day adoptions. - Approved applications are required prior to meeting any of our dogs.**Kittens are required to be adopted in pairs, unless there already is a cat in the home. If the cat in the home is 10 years or older, this two-kitten policy will apply.

Thumper is shy with new people and barks about it. He has aced his training classes with Barktastic Behavior. He would probably be good with other dogs with slow introductions. Once he knows you he can be a wonderful snuggler who thinks he`s a lap dog.

Story
Meet Remus, a 4-year-old Wooly Husky with a heart of gold looking for a dedicated and experienced home. Remus is a gentle, sweet soul who takes a little extra time to feel safe in new environments. Because he is currently feeling a bit sensitive to touch and handling, he is searching for a quiet, patient household where he can decompress and build trust at his own pace. With his beautiful Wooly Husky coat, Remus requires an adopter who is ready to commit to frequent brushing and routine grooming care to keep his fur healthy, clean, and mat-free. Transitioning to a new home can be overwhelming, and Remus will benefit greatly from a predictable daily routine and structured guidance to help him settle in comfortably and prevent potential separation anxiety. Remus possesses a true Husky spirit, complete with a high prey drive and an eager desire to run whenever a door opens. A secure home setup with careful door management and leash-only outdoor activities will be essential to keep this handsome explorer safe. For a loving adopter who understands sensitive dogs and is ready to dedicate time, patience, and gentle encouragement, Remus will be a deeply rewarding companion. Remus is neutered, microchipped, up to date on core vaccinations (bordetella, distemper, rabies), dewormed, and current on flea/tick preventative. If you are interested in adopting Remus, reach out to us at 920-733-1717 or adopt@foxvalleypets.org. Story
Hey, I'm Inu, 3yr old Husky mix, around 55 lbs. Am I ever "Inu".... see what I did there? I am a sweet boy who is ready for my new forever home. I get along great with people of all sizes and all the other doggos. I am not a fan of cats so please, let’s not try that! I am a bigger boy so keep that in mind if you have little people cos I could knock them over, but I would make an awesome walking / running / hiking partner with the big-uns! If you think you and I might just make the perfect pairing, then please check me out asap! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption. We believe fostering dogs and not having them decompress in a kennelled environment is more beneficial for the dogs and builds their trust and companionship in a family situation. Adoption fee includes transportation costs, previous/current medical treatment (spay/neuter, etc.) and a health certificate for cross-state travel*

Story
Hi I’m Singer. I’m a lab/husky mix around 2 years old. Just as my name implies... I like to "sing". I may not look like I'm Husky but I must have some in me to be as vocal as I am! I have lots of energy too and would love it if you enjoyed hiking or running.... or even just a nice long walk. I need to get my exercise and I can't think of a better way than doing something with you. You will never be bored with me around cos I always have something to say or something to do. Find out about me and I will sing you the song of my people! *All of The Right to Live dogs are fostered locally in San Antonio Texas and will be transported to other states to their new families upon adoption.
