My name is Moses (aka: Pico). I am a smooth coat Jack Russell Mix and very handsome if I don’t say so myself! I was a stray brought into Maricopa County Animal Care & Control. I was very quickly placed on their euthanasia list due to some behavioral issues, but mostly for my poor medical condition. I was in a lot of pain. My testicles were huge, red, sore and had masses everywhere. I had a bad cherry eye, mild cataracts and my teeth were not so good! Well, my foster Mom applied to care for me and a great rescue group agreed to help me too! I was saved at the last minute! I was immediately brought to the Veterinary Hospital where they did a major surgery to remove my boy parts. Thank goodness, the masses were not cancer and I healed up quickly with my foster Mom. After I was all healed from that I went back to the doctor and had my cherry eye removed and my teeth cleaned. I had a cracked tooth that was removed too! I feel like a new man! I also have a mild limp on my back leg, but that doesn’t stop me from anything! County said I was about 10 years old, but my foster Mom and my Veterinarian says I’m more like 6-8 years old. I am a bit of an energizer bunny and LOVE toys so much! I love taking 20-30 toys out of the toy bins every day. I carry them with me everywhere and love to play tug of war with them. I also love to bring toys with me up onto the couch. I love cuddling with my foster Mom and I love cuddling. I don’t like kisses though. I will growl if you get too close to my face. I think it’s because my vision isn’t 100%. I would LOVE a home with one woman to cherish me. I don’t really care for boys/men and I get spooked easily, so I would not be good with children who would scare me. I love other dogs who are nice to me! I am not food aggressive or toy aggressive at all. I LOVE my food and treats and take treats very gently. I have 2 other dogs in my foster home and I do great with them. I’m a really good boy! I am housebroken with a doggie door, but I don’t like being outside except to do my business. It’s hot out there!! I am really hoping for my forever home to love me and be patient with me while I get to know my new surroundings. So, who is my new Mom? I can’t wait to meet and love you forever!
