Story
Story/descripción HE WAS FOUND WITH TWO PUPPIES UNDER A HIGHWAY BRIDGE. UNFORTUNATELY, ONE OF THEM TESTED POSITIVE FOR DISTEMPER AND, BECAUSE THE DISEASE WAS ALREADY VERY ADVANCED, HE DIED A FEW DAYS AFTER STARTING HIS TREATMENT. ELMER AND THE OTHER PUPPY, TITAN, WERE PLACED IN QUARANTINE AS A PREVENTIVE MEASURE. HOWEVER, ONE DAY AFTER THE END OF QUARANTINE, TITAN SHOWED DISTEMPER SYMPTOMS AND, LIKE THE FIRST PUPPY, DIED DESPITE RECEIVING TREATMENT. THIS WAS HOW ELMER BECAME THE ONLY SURVIVOR OF THIS RESCUE. TODAY ELMER IS COMPLETELY HEALTHY AND WITHOUT ANY KIND OF SEQUEL AND IS LOOKING FOR A LOVING FAMILY THAT WILL CONSENT HIM. ELMER IS A FAITHFUL COMPANION WHO LOVES TO BE HUGGED AND Cuddled. HE WILL LOVE TO TAKE WALKS AND WALKS WITH YOU. IT IS PLAYFUL AND FRIENDLY, WHICH MAKES IT IDEAL TO BE WITH CHILDREN AND LITTLE ONES. HE LIKES TO EXPLORE, DISCOVER NEW THINGS, MEET PEOPLE AND ABOVE ALL PLAY. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Story
sobbing while writing this. Bailey is six years old. She was found on the streets in Mexico and had lived in five foster homes before ours. Bailey is so loyal and loving! She is a great guard dog, always on alert protecting her family. She’s full of energy so she needs a home with a yard but that being said she’s great at sleeping on the couch/bed and just relaxing when needed. Bailey is not good with kids. She frightens easily and when scared she snaps and tries to bite. The reason we need to re home her is because our one year old son is severely allergic. We’ve tried the air purifiers, the medications, all the things and nothing is working. Currently Bailey isn’t getting the attention she deserves and it kills me but my son is suffering. She is so great and would be great for someone without kids.

Story
Age: 3 years Gender: Female Breed: Terrier Mix Weight: 20 lbs Personality: This little girlie is bundles of fun! She has plenty of playful energy and never says no to an adventure. She likes to go to cafes and restaurants and just sit with her person, after being comfortable with them. She gets along well with other dogs and tends to match their energy. She lives with two very bossy and dominant cats, and does great with them! Flotsam was rescued from the terrifying “shopping cart” situation in Tijuana, which left her nervous and reactive around sudden movements. For this reason, she probably wouldn’t be best with young kids. She is also hesitant around new people and may take time trusting. She needs someone who will respect her boundaries, let her have decompression time and let her initiate interaction when she wants. Once she does, she is affectionate and loving! Education: She is both house and leash trained and quite smart. Flotsam is fine when left alone as long as she gets a nice long morning and evening walk. She is still working on building confidence with new people and in new situations. The more love she gets, the more comfortable she will be! Favorite Activities: Did someone say walk? Flotsam will never turn down a stroll and loves getting out to explore. She adores fetch and having toys around. She loves her people and can’t wait to find a furever family. Looking for: A loving family with enough boundary and patience for decompression time. This peppy pup would love an active home that enjoys playtime. She would do best without kids as she gains her confidence and works on not reacting to sudden movements. Once she settles in, she is a total sweetie who is easy to fall in love with! Adoption Fee: $ 400 ##1733869##

Story
Meet the most fabulous tripod! Hello there! My name is Matilda, and I'm a resilient 2-year-old, 14-pound spayed female terrier mix with a heart full of love and a spirit that can't be held back. I may be a tripod, but trust me, I've got more love and zest for life than you can imagine. I had a rough start, found in TJ walking on my hind legs due to unbearable pain in my front legs. Thanks to the care and love of my rescuers, I'm now on the road to recovery. I have a bone fungal infection that requires ongoing medical attention, and I visit the Vet Specialist regularly. Don't worry, it's not contagious, and I'm on top of my medications. I will continue the medications (Terbinafine ~$15.00 for a months supply, Voriconazole ~$115.00 for 1 month supply, depending on market value and where purchased) for at least 3-6 more months, maybe longer. Long term monitoring with these medications would include rechecking her liver values every 2-3 months, as well as rechecking a coccidiodes fungal serology. Recheck x-rays in 3 months along with recheck labs at that time will allow the vet to determine when I can stop the two medications. I will also be on Dasuquin to support joint mobility (~$41.00 for 3 months supply depending on market value and where purchased) to keep me happy, healthy, and moving. I am fully bathroom and crate trained and working on leash walking. Now, let me tell you a bit about my wonderful personality. I'm a bit selective when it comes to furry friends, dogs and cats, just give me a slow introduction. I'm what they call a Velcro dog – I'll follow you everywhere, matching your energy whether you're in the mood for play or relaxation. I do have some anxieties, especially around new people and animals, so patience is key. Loud trucks and pushy pets aren't my favorite, and I prefer to have my humans' love all to myself. Despite my initial reservations, once I know you, I'm the ultimate companion, ready to be by your side 24/7. I'm pretty easygoing, enjoying lounging on the couch, basking in the sun, and playing with my toys. I'd thrive in a quiet home with my own space, maybe with a laid-back dog or cat who respects boundaries. In essence, I'm a gem of a dog, and I'm looking for a loving family to share my life with. If you're ready for a dog who will shower you with love and bring endless joy into your home, please consider giving me a chance. I promise, you won't regret it! If you work from home, that's even better – I need a potty break every 4ish hours. I'm okay being alone for about 4 hours, either crated or uncrated, but I do like to get my morning zoomies out and play with my stuffed animals. While I haven't met children younger than 10, I might be okay with older kids. If you're interested in making me a part of your family, please reach out right away! My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/ ##1765244##
