Story/descripción HE WAS FOUND WITH TWO PUPPIES UNDER A HIGHWAY BRIDGE. UNFORTUNATELY, ONE OF THEM TESTED POSITIVE FOR DISTEMPER AND, BECAUSE THE DISEASE WAS ALREADY VERY ADVANCED, HE DIED A FEW DAYS AFTER STARTING HIS TREATMENT. HOWEVER, ONE DAY AFTER THE END OF QUARANTINE, TITAN SHOWED DISTEMPER SYMPTOMS AND, LIKE THE FIRST PUPPY, DIED DESPITE RECEIVING TREATMENT. THIS WAS HOW ELMER BECAME THE ONLY SURVIVOR OF THIS RESCUE. TODAY ELMER IS COMPLETELY HEALTHY AND WITHOUT ANY KIND OF SEQUEL AND IS LOOKING FOR A LOVING FAMILY THAT WILL CONSENT HIM. ELMER IS A FAITHFUL COMPANION WHO LOVES TO BE HUGGED AND Cuddled. HE WILL LOVE TO TAKE WALKS AND WALKS WITH YOU. IT IS PLAYFUL AND FRIENDLY, WHICH MAKES IT IDEAL TO BE WITH CHILDREN AND LITTLE ONES. HE LIKES TO EXPLORE, DISCOVER NEW THINGS, MEET PEOPLE AND ABOVE ALL PLAY. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Story
Meet Oliva! This naughty little 15-pounder will steal your heart in an instant, with her infinite energy and small size she gives tenderness, in addition to being very obedient and intelligent. She was found abandoned on the beach, malnourished, full of parasites and sand, she is currently healthy and ready for her new home, it would be ideal for her to grow up in a house with children, since she has too much energy and the ideal is for her to always have someone to play her. Look at those beautiful eyes! She gets along well with cats, other dogs, children and adults, she knows how to sit, wait for her food and walk on a leash, she won't grow much, and she learns very quickly. She is small, she won't grow up more. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Story
A total love bug! Hi, I’m Hal! I’m a 5-year-old neutered male Terrier mix, and I weigh 30 pounds.  I was rescued from Ellos Son La Razon in Mexico, and I’m excited to have this second chance at life!  My health is in tip-top shape, and I am potty-trained and leash-trained.  Even though I absolutely love chewing up my toys, I promise that I am not destructive to anything else around the house.   My foster parents tell me I’m a super chill boy and a total love bug! I have an easy-going and mellow demeanor, and I don’t require a lot of activity.  Two 20-minute walks a day, and I’m good to go!  My favorite activities include chasing lizards, taking naps, getting my ears rubbed, and being near my people. As far as other doggies are concerned, I’m not too friendly with them and would rather be on my own.  Kitties and kiddos are a “maybe” since I’ve never been around them before.  I’m not much of a barker, and I don’t have any symptoms of separation anxiety.  In fact, I go easily into my crate at night and when my humans are out for errands during the day.  Easy peasy! My ideal household would be an easy-going one, with no other doggie siblings.  Given my personality, I think I’d be a great fit to either someone who works from home or a retired person looking for companionship. Do we sound like a match? If so, my adoption fee is $300 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip.  If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adoption-application/. ##1787520##

Story
Age: 2 years Gender: Female Breed: Terrier Mix Weight: 20 lbs Personality: This little girlie is bundles of fun! She has plenty of playful energy and never says no to an adventure. She likes to go to cafes and restaurants and just sit with her person, after being comfortable with them. She gets along well with other dogs and tends to match their energy. She lives with two very bossy and dominant cats, and does great with them! Flotsam was rescued from the terrifying “shopping cart” situation in Tijuana, which left her nervous and reactive around sudden movements. For this reason, she probably wouldn’t be best with young kids. She is also hesitant around new people and may take time trusting. She needs someone who will respect her boundaries, let her have decompression time and let her initiate interaction when she wants. Once she does, she is affectionate and loving! Education: She is both house and leash trained and quite smart. Flotsam is fine when left alone as long as she gets a nice long morning and evening walk. She is still working on building confidence with new people and in new situations. The more love she gets, the more comfortable she will be! Favorite Activities: Did someone say walk? Flotsam will never turn down a stroll and loves getting out to explore. She adores fetch and having toys around. She loves her people and can’t wait to find a furever family. Looking for: A loving family with enough boundary and patience for decompression time. This peppy pup would love an active home that enjoys playtime. She would do best without kids as she gains her confidence and works on not reacting to sudden movements. Once she settles in, she is a total sweetie who is easy to fall in love with! Adoption Fee: $ 400 ##1733869##

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please review our Adoption Process before filling out an application.  If you would like to try a Foster to Adopt trial, please fill out an Adoption Application.  If you are only interested in temporarily Fostering one of our rescues, please fill out a Foster Application.   Meet Perlita! This cutie is believed to be siblings with both Sammie and Rosalie. Although they don't look alike in color/coat. We can say there is a lot alike between the trio from body type to facial expressions and look. Like the majority of dogs we rescue who are abandoned or just a product of the huge pet overpopulation this little girl is a HUGE mutt. We don't know her breed. She could have a terrier and retriever because of her looks and current size. BTW as of 3/20 Perlita is about 25 pounds and in the 4.5-5 month old range (going off baby teeth) she was rescued in December but like all pups had to be quarantined for a month before placing for adoption to ensure she is healthy. Now that is march she is fully vaccinated and healthy girl who is currently fostered with a friend of ARWOB in Ensenada. Mexico as that is where these puppers where rescued, in baja. Luckily Sammie and Rosalie are in san diego being fostered but we haven't had luck finding a foster for this girl. We would love to find a foster (temporary only home) or a foster to adopt family (foster with intent to adopt) so we can get this girl across and we can giver her a better life. Fostering would allow ARWOB to know more about her to match her iwth a family and for an adoptive family a way to get to know her before adopting her. A win win! Its all about helping this little girl be safe and find a forever family either way. We prefer to spay female rescues in San Diego and hence not yet spayed so her foster family would need to be comfortable bringing her to and from the vet clinic in the north park area 92104, we can schedule the spay appointment once we have a secure foster for her in the San Diego area..... as of 3/21 this information is accurate. NOTE - Rosalie and Sammie have an amazing personality and we know Perlita does too! We do know she is very human friendly and social as well as currently shares the home with other foster and resident dogs.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.If you would like to meet one of our animals, PLEASE fill out an adoption application.
