Hello Gizmo!!! This spitfire is looking for love. He was secured by us a week after being dumped on the side of the freeway with his sister as just a 6 month old puppy. He was shut down and scared but the fierce protector of his more frightened sister. Thanks to the dedication of volunteers and event passerby's he has blossomed into a bundle of energy looking for the person to feed him treats and take him home. He can still be shy but easily wooed with food. Due to time fending off predators and other off leash dangerous dogs he is still leary and defensive with other canines. However, when presented with a neutral dog unphased by his need to posture he settles and gets alongs so we believe could live with another neutral patient dog and eventually enjoy the company of another companion if the dog is the right fit. We have not tested him with cats but will gladly do so for an approved home. He loves to play but happy to snuggle. He is a good balance of active and couch potato. He's done his time and is ready to learn what being a loved house companion means and would love a foster or adopter opportunity. Could that be you? Gizmo ##2172902##

He is a mellow fellow who absolutely loves snuggles. He is a smart and sensitive pup who is willing to learn with gentle correction. He walks well and tells you when he needs to go potty. He is currently in a foster home with an energetic female dog and plays well with her. He barks to say hello to new dogs but warms up to them quickly. He likes playing and going for walks but is just as happy being a couch potato. He is crate trained and does not seem to have any anxiety. He is wary of men at first but warms up if fed treats and gentle pets. We have not seen him around kids or cats but suspect he would be fine with a gentle introduction. Mitch cannot wait to find a family of his own. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and is microchipped. His adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption. Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog.
