All inquiries should be directed to Deuce’s owner at Sjkm32@hotmail.com ** This handsome boy is named Deuce. He is 8 years young, microchipped, neutered and vaccinated. He’s very well trained. He knows a lot of basic commands which include: sit down, no jump, halt-stop, leave it, stay, shake paw-left, shake paw right, no bark, go to truck/car/door, bring it, drop it. He likes to play outside and he will keep your yard free of varmints!! He also loves to chase a tennis ball! Like all Jack Russell Terriers, Deuce needs a fenced-in backyard. His house manners are perfect! He’s house trained and does not make a mess. He loves to curl up with a blanket to snuggle. If your lap is available he would love to get in it. He is also crate trained, but we want his new home to not leave him in there very long. Deuce is a “people person“ and he wants to be with you. We’re not sure how he will do with other dogs or kids. And, like a lot of JRT’s he does not like cats. Deuce is not a Russell Rescue dog. Russell Rescue is only assisting with placement and networking. I adopted Ollie from a DC shelter in July 2019 when he was 3 years old. He's now a healthy, neutered 9 yo long-haired Jack Russell Terrier mix. He has puppy-like joy when excited for walks but is just as happy snuggling on the couch. He requires minimal exercise and has never had health issues. Ollie is incredibly affectionate and cuddly with people he trusts. He bonds deeply, loves his friends (furry & human), and thrives in group small dog play at daycare. Off-leash, he's reliable and social. However, Ollie has a bite history and needs an experienced terrier owner. He’s protective and territorial, guards toys/bones, and can be reactive on-leash to strangers. He needs someone with a big heart AND confident boundaries who understands he thrives in a safe, loving environment with clear discipline. I've loved our time together, and this is a heartbreaking decision, but Ollie deserves someone whose lifestyle fits his needs.
