Story
Poppy is a two year old mixed breed. Embark DNA says she has 35% Maltese but she looks more like a jack Russell beagle mix. She weighs about 20 pounds and is up-to-date on all vaccines. Poppy loves to go on walks. She likes to run and play in the backyard. She is submissive and afraid of some dogs and occasionally men (she usually warms up with enough treats/petting). She is very friendly with kids. We have three kids and she has never shown aggression or annoyance with them. She loves to have her belly rubbed. I think she would be better suited to be an only dog. We have two other dogs and she is jealous when they get attention. In the house, she likes to sleep in her crate or be a couch potato. She is fully crate, trained, and comes with her crate.

Story
Say hello to 15 year old Jessi, the sweetest, chillest senior lady you ever did meet. But don't tell her she is 15! Spry and lean this little lady gets around so well. She came in as a stray but from her chip we could see that she was someone's pet; they most likely dumped her. Jessi is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and HW-. She gets along great with other dogs and is potty trained. She is just a peach. Please consider this sweet little lady and give her a soft place to lay and spend her remaining time

Story
Missy is typically quiet and reserved, but she has a strong prey drive. She might not be suitable for households with small animals or young children due to her tendency to chase. Missy can be a bit shy and is nervous around strangers. She sometimes barks at the doorbell and loud noises.Missy has had some issues with eating dog food. She prefers home-cooked meals and being hand-fed, often enjoying chicken and rice.Potential adopters should be prepared to continue working on her eating habits, managing her prey drive, and helping her feel comfortable around new people and in noisy environments.Best living situation:A fenced-in yard and leash walks are ideal. She has been known to chase squirrels and neighborhood cats, and once she starts, it's hard to call her back (though this doesn't happen often). She hasn't been dog-tested yet, but we plan to do that soon.Behavior/Training:Missy knows the "sit" command and enjoys treats, which can be a great motivator for further training. She is good on walks and prefers to rest when she's not active. Not big into toys, but will occasionally play tug or run around with you.Be cautious with her allergies; she sometimes reacts (scratches/licks) when outside in the grass for too long. Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 18 Age: 8yrs 2mths 2wks

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application ›   This is Buster. He is 100% goodest boy! Buster is house trained, crate trained, and has excellent table manners. Buster’s idea of the perfect day is really all about quality time. Snuggles? Yes, please! Walks? Oh, yes! A shared snack? Divine! (Did I mention his table manners?!) Scritchies? Can’t get enough! Staring deeply into one another’s eyes? Absolutely! Buster has the cutest ears! And the sweetest eyes! He also grows an epic mustache if left untrimmed.  His absolute favorite thing is being outside. He would stay outside all day if he could! He loves to lounge on the grass in the sun. He has a love-hate relationship with training. He loves to please, but also acts like it was really his idea all along…! Occasionally he gets a wild hair and grabs a squeaky toy from the basket, typically just carrying it around. Sometimes he will indulge his foster in a few rounds of fetch with said toy, but it’s clear he does it out of pity for his poor foster, not because he actually enjoys it…! Like most JRTs, Buster is very smart and very opinionated. (He can grumble with the best of them! It’s honestly pretty endearing.) Buster is used to being someone’s constant companion and that is really where he thrives. At night he sleeps at the foot of his foster’s bed, under his designated fleece blanket. He follows his foster from room to room, never being more than a few feet away. (He is an excellent bathroom sentinel!) He is happiest as an only dog. He can coexist with other dogs, he gets along fine with his foster’s resident dogs, but he has a strong preference for human companions over canine companions. (Frankly, he seems to think he is a human!) He does prefer men to women, though that doesn’t seem to matter so much when there are things like walks and snacks to be had.  Buster has not been tested with cats, but will tolerate dogs. Proper introductions are important, as he can be territorial, especially with male dogs. He can also be spicy when he is feeling anxious, scared, or otherwise overestimulated. He has been around young children and done well for short periods, but a home with children would not be a good fit for him. Buster is neutered, up to date on all his vaccines, and in overall good health Would you be his pawfect match?  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 21, 2024, 9:03 pm
