Story
(DOB 12/08/2023) Lilly is an absolute love bug who lives for snuggles, belly rubs, and being as close to her people as possible. Whether she’s curled up beside you on the couch, snoozing in your lap, or tucked into bed at night, Lilly’s happy place is right next to her humans. She much prefers companionship over crating and will gladly spend her days lounging nearby while you’re home or napping peacefully when you’re away.
This petite sweetheart is also a big fan of car rides and will be happy to be your co-pilot! Lilly gets so excited she can’t quite decide whether the front seat or back seat is best, so she’ll need to be safely restrained. Once settled, she’ll either gaze out the window or curl up and fall asleep, making her an excellent “go-anywhere girl!"
Lilly is curious, clever, and always up for learning. She already knows sit and lay, and she’s currently working on down, roll over, and high five. She’s house trained, walks nicely on a leash, and enjoys her daily strolls to sniff, explore, and say hello to new friends. True to her social-butterfly status, Lilly has never met a stranger everyone is her new best friend, and she’ll happily run up asking to be picked up and adored. Speaking of strangers, Lilly has not had an opportunity to meet cats at this time, so this is an unknown.
Lilly has the prettiest markings (think cow print) and soft coat. Her ears are adorable because depending upon what she is doing, they are softly down, out to the side like litte Yoda, or straight up in attention. They make her personality even that much cuter!!
At home, Lilly is a happy mix of playful and couch potato. She enjoys toys (and may believe they all belong to her), plays well with her people, and is learning to share with her foster canine siblings; she can still be a toy hog and takes "offense" to sharing. Lilly's foster mom is working with her to help her understand that sharing is caring. She’s is living comfortably with her 4-legged siblings but could totally be an only dog. Lilly hasn’t met young children yet; polite, well-behaved kids should be fine, though her petite size and occasional mouthy puppy moments may make her better suited for homes without very small kiddos. We wouldn't want little fingers and toes ending up in her little mouth.
Lilly is well suited for apartment, condo, or townhome living since she doesn’t require a fenced yard just daily walks, potty breaks, and plenty of love. She’s already house trained and has a great routine (going out 5 times a day); spending her days lounging on the couch or playing with toys, and sleeping through the night snuggled in bed with her foster family.
Like any young, smart pup, Lilly is still polishing her manners. Her forever family should be ready to continue working on things like door-dashing/escaping, counter surfing, and resource guarding food, treats, or toys with other dogs. With consistency and guidance, this little girl will continue to shine. Lilly is a lovable, happy, affectionate companion who brings fun, laughter, and endless cuddles wherever she goes. This special girl...you’re guaranteed to fall head over heels in love!
As part of Lilly’s $300 adoption fee, she will be spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on her monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives.
