Story
Tex was acquired at the Catawba Humane Society. He was found in Gastonia after the hurricane here in NC. Tex is 3 yrs old or there about according to our vet. We are looking to rehome him for his sake. We are elderly and he doesn’t get enough exercise as we are living at a senior living facility. When we adopted him we had a huge yard and he had plenty of running space. This is most difficult for us to give him up but we must for his sake. He loves to play with other dogs, kids etc. He loves to cuddle and play ball. He is very active if he has the space. He is very intelligent. There are dogs here where we live. When we walk him everyone comments on how handsome he is. He will be somewhat nervous riding in a car and getting used to new people but he will adjust. His favorite thing to do is hide a treat and then we must go find it. He communicates by staring at us after he is ready for us to find it. Barking also works. He is not an incessant barker but barks at noises some.

Volly is a sweet female Jack Russell Terrier mix who is still adjusting to her new surroundings, but her gentle personality is already shining through. She recently came to us when her previous family found themselves with more dogs than they could care for. While change can be a little scary, Volly is doing her best and just needs someone patient and loving to help her feel safe again. Volly has lived indoors with time outside and has experience living with other dogs. She has also been around people of all ages and is known to be friendly and playful with children. Once she starts to feel comfortable, her playful side begins to peek out. She’s also a smart girl who will let you know when she needs to go outside by crying, which is a helpful habit for anyone continuing her routine in a new home. Right now, Volly can be a little shy and unsure in the shelter environment, which is completely understandable. New places, new sounds, and new faces can be overwhelming. With a little patience, kindness, and reassurance, we believe her confidence will blossom and her true personality will shine. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who just needs a gentle place to land, Volly might be the perfect addition to your family. Contact information is provided in the description below.Meet Popcorn a 10 year old Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix. She loves food! She is potty trained to go outside. She prefers to be let out in fenced in yard and go potty and comes straight back to door when she’s done. She does not like extreme heat. She lives indoors and loves her own bed. She does not mind being kenneled. Popcorn loves back/ booty scratches. She does have some anxiety with thunder storms and likes to be close to someone during the rumbles. She lives with two cats and rat terrier. She does not do well with large dogs. She loves food and treats obviously. We give her a treat each time she potties and at bed time. Meet Uno! *Please read full bio before inquiring.* Cross-posted. Breed: JRT/chihuahua mix. Age: approx 2 years (8/25/23). Weight: est 24ish lbs. Training: crate trained, it's his safe place. House trained when on a schedule. He isn't leash trained. Good with other dogs/cats? Yes to dogs, no to cats. Good with adults/kids? Adults/kids he knows, yes. Only kids 10+. Personality: loves his people. He loves sunbathing and being a couch potato, and overall snuggling. He is scared of thunderstorms. Reason for rescue: Uno has been much loved, but unfortunately it is best for him to find a home with kids 10 years +. Uno loves his people with his whole heart. He is very loyal to his people. He doesn't do well with strangers coming into his home/yard. He would do best with a fenced yard. He has been trained on an invisible fence and it works well for him. He is neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on vaccinations and preventatives. If interested in adding Uno to your family, please message for an adoption application!
