He enjoys spending time outside and will happily take care of his business, though he’ll need a watchful eye as he’s still working on perfecting his house manners. Belly bands have been a helpful tool for him in the meantime.This handsome guy has a bit of an independent streak—he likes being outdoors so much that coming back inside can take a little encouragement. Sometimes a tasty treat like lunch meat or cheese does the trick, but not always—Billie Bob likes to keep you guessing!When meeting new people, Billie Bob can be shy and timid at first. He needs a patient, understanding home that will give him the time and space to build trust. Once he warms up, though, his sweet nature truly shines.Billie Bob is crate trained and has done well around other dogs, especially during his time at the vet. While his experience with cats is limited, he didn’t seem bothered by a feline friend wandering nearby. Story

This sweet girl was an owner surrender until she was adopted by a roommate 5 years ago, and then abandoned by the same roommate. Abby’s mom took on the responsibility of caring for her despite having her own pets. She had two feline brothers, one feline sister and one k9 brother. Abby is very protective and reactive to other dogs, so she would do well in a home where she’s the only pet. She is a senior and has some urinary leaking as a result, especially in her sleep. She loves walks, loves to play, and has high energy but loves a snuggle. She’s very sweet and very spunky. She does get separation anxiety and needs to be crated when left alone. We don’t know much about her history before we adopted her, but I suspect abuse and abandonment may have been at play, so she needs lots of love. Abby’s mom loves her- but recently got sick and had to move away to be treated. Treatments are very physically demanding and she is unable to give Abby the love and care she deserves.

My dog's name is Winona. I got her from the Franklin County Animal Shelter. She is 10 years old. She is very loveable and friendly.
