Joker is available for Foster to Adopt! ***Please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form*** As a foster-to-adopt family, you will have two weeks to get to know your new furry house guest before committing to adoption. At the end of two weeks, if you choose not to move forward with adoption, we simply ask that you continue to provide a safe and loving home until their new forever family can be found. During your foster-to-adopt trial, you’ll receive the support of a Fetch + Releash mentor to help you through the transition and answer any questions or concerns you may have. Foster-to-adopt families will be required to pay a $200 deposit on the adoption fee and sign our foster-to-adopt waiver in advance. If you choose not to adopt, your $200 will be refunded to you within 30 days of your dog being adopted into a new family provided you see your pup through to adoption. If you choose not to see your dog through to adoption, you will forfeit your deposit. Foster-to-adopt families will be expected to provide their own supplies. Visit https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info for more info on mandatory supplies. Joker / M / 2Y / 32lbs / Jack Russel X / Good with Balanced Dogs / Appreciates Slow Intros with New People / Older Respectful Only / Untested with Cats / From Mexico / Fostered in Toronto ** Follow Joker’s journey on Instagram: foster_doggo_toronto ** Meet Joker! He was rescued by our partner in Mexico, and while his history is unknown-he’s looking for a bright future here in Canada! Joker's foster describes him as a spunky little low rider who loves to cuddle. This little guy is hard to take photos of because he can’t seem to sit still long enough! He is sweet, gentle, and a bit mischievous. He loves to be pet and will give you endless kisses if you let him. He loves to play but also enjoys sitting and watching the world go by. Joker is great with new people as long as he's able to meet them in a neutral space first. He's a loyal dog who can't live without his trusted people. Outside of the home he is curious and wants to greet everyone he sees. He has only met dog-savvy children over the age of 9 but he loved being around them. Younger children would have to be watched more carefully as Joker may resource guard food. Joker gets along with friendly dogs and he's quick to make friends with dogs his size. He would do well with a resident dog who can teach him how to be a pet. Joker has not been tested with cats and is looking for a cat-free home at this time. A home where his human(s) are around most of the time would be ideal. We don’t believe he had ever been in a home, or had a family prior to arriving to Canada. Everything was new to him but within a few weeks, he had completely adapted. Joker is an intelligent and a medium-high energy dog. He will need at least two 30 minute walks a day and plenty of canine enrichment. He loves bones, food puzzles, and lots of sniffing. His new family should be prepared to support him with basic training, such as manners and leash skills. Joker is potty trained but his adopters should prepare for some accidents as he transitions to a new home. He is food motivated and will focus easily when indoors. Joker currently knows basic commands like sit, lay down, to stay out of the kitchen and come. Joker sleeps in his crate overnight and goes in without any hesitations. Joker has not been left alone for long periods but he does show signs of separation anxiety and for that reason he's looking for a home with humans who are home often and willing to work with our team on his separation anxiety. He's currently fostered in a high-rise with a foster who is home often but has cried and barked when he's been left alone so a house is preferred. If you’re interested in fostering with the intention of adopting, please apply at https://www.fetchandreleash.ca/adoption-info#adoption-form Joker’s adoption fee is $850. Story
Location : Korea Adoption inquiries: wds3628@nate.com ▶ Relationship with dogs: Gets along with other dogs very well. However, there are times where he barks at dogs who are too aggressive or dogs who bark at them. ▶ Relationship with cats: Hasn’t been in same space with cats, but barks at cats passing by the fence. ▶ Relationship between people: Loves human and being alongside for long period. Loves meeting people when going for walks. Mary sticks her head towards people, as if wanting to be seen. Loves human more than other dogs. If other dogs run towards her owner or seems to bother them, she would bark at them to stop. ▶ Leash training: She is family and doesn’t have aversion towards harness; she enjoys them since she know it means going for a walk. Special note: As a side effect from measle, has tic symptoms, weak front legs and inablity to produce tears. Due to weak front legs, may have some amount of shaking but has no problem at all to go for a walk. Slippery floors may casue her to slip some times but other than that, there are no problems. Mary's left eye has a bit of murky makrs which are improving over time. She has been puting artifical tears to help it. Mary used to have a paralysis on left part of her, but she was desperate to heal, that she overcame it. Her strong will is making her healthier daily.

Story
Griffin is a lovable, affectionate, playful, and energetic little pup. He loves to run around the yard chasing squirrels and rabbits, and play tug and keep-away with his toys. He will do best in a home with a fenced in yard. If you already have a dog he will enjoy the company, but will take a week or so to warm up to his new friend. He is fully housebroken, knows basic commands (sit, stay, paw, lay, roll over), and has been e-collar trained as well, although this can be improved upon. While at work he roams the house and lounges, and he usually spends the night in his crate but loves to sleep in bed and snuggle too. Unfortunately, since his adoption my personal and professional life has changed and I am no longer home enough to give him the attention and fulfillment he deserves. He will certainly make a great companion for someone who can.
