Story
Frankie (a.k.a Freckles or Frank) arrived in Canada from St. Lucia about a year ago and has been adored from day one! He’s a gentle, cheerful, playful little guy who loves kisses, cuddles and people with his whole heart. Frankie is a sensitive boy who loves having his person all to himself and enjoys being the main character in the household. He is currently living his best life in a foster home where he has quickly learned new tricks and commands. He is an all-terrain, all weather, booty trained dog who loves the outdoors, hiking or going on long walks. But he also likes his downtimes and snoozes when his person is in a meeting. He is friendly with guests after giving them an initial enthusiastic welcome. One friendly sniff and your guest will become his best friend. Give him a treat and you can make him do anything! Now Frankie’s looking for his forever family, where - as an only dog - he can get all the pampering that this beautiful boy truly deserves! This unique boy has a rare but very manageable immune-related skin condition (ischaemic dermatopathy). It’s not contagious and is easily controlled with regular medication, supplements, sun protection, and a fish-based diet to stay healthy. Flare-ups can happen with intense sun exposure, stress, or vaccinations. Frankie just needs a loving, active and caring family committed to his ongoing care and regular vet check-ups. If you want a loyal and goofy little shadow who’ll love you endlessly, Frankie is your perfect match! Frankie’s adoption fee is being waived—we really want this sweet boy to find the loving home he deserves. 🏡🐶

Story
✨🐾 Meet Ginny: Small Dog, Big Personality! 🐾✨ Ginny may be pint-sized, but don’t let that fool you—this approximately 3-year-old Jack Russell Terrier X is packed with spunk, smarts, and confidence. She arrived at the shelter as a stray (with a mystery backstory we may never solve) and, sadly, was never claimed. Now she’s ready to claim a home of her own. True to her JRT roots, Ginny is friendly, social, and active. She loves meeting people and happily greets everyone like they’re her long-lost best friend. She’s a nice balance of outgoing and calm, but she definitely comes with that classic Jack Russell zest for life. Ginny already knows how to sit, but she’s also known to jump up and pull on leash—enthusiasm is kind of her thing. Continued obedience training will help polish her manners, and the good news is she’s smart and eager, making her a great candidate for training with consistency and patience. While she did well meeting another young dog at the shelter, Ginny can be a bit of a bossy boots with other dogs. She’s confident, direct, and expects others to respect her boundaries—especially around food. She communicates clearly without escalating, but she does best with slow, controlled introductions and dog friends who match her personality and respect her leadership style. Despite her smaller size, Ginny needs a family ready to provide daily exercise and mental enrichment to keep her happy and healthy. She’ll thrive in a home that understands and appreciates the quirks of a Jack Russell Terrier—because with Ginny, what you see is what you get: bold, bright, and full of character. If you’re looking for a fun, feisty, and loving companion who knows her mind and isn’t afraid to share it, Ginny just might be your girl. 💕🐶 https://www.hamilton.ca/home-neighbourhood/animals-pets/adopt-or-foster-pet/adoptions Animal adoptions and viewing are by appointment only. Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Ppomi Age: 1 years and a half Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Brown Color: Terrier mix Weight: 6.7kg / 15lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from the euthanasia list at a city pound along with my sister, Pyopyo. We were scared and out of time, but rescuers stepped in just when we needed them most. Now we’re both safe, loved, and ready to start our new lives—and I can’t wait to find my very own forever family.   MY HEALTH Spayed & no known health issues All vaccinations up-to-date   MY PERSONALITY II’m a little shy when meeting new people, but I warm up quickly and reveal my sweet, affectionate side. I’m such a lovable pup—you’ll notice my sweetness right away!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m a bit shy at first, but I quickly warm up with treats and gentle pets. You can even pick me up once I feel comfortable! · With Dogs: I enjoy meeting new dog friends, but I like to take my time before jumping into play. I usually get along best with dogs my size, and if another dog is being rude, I simply walk away from the drama.   · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate energy level — I enjoy my time outdoors exploring and playing, and then I’m happy to settle down and relax indoors.   TRAINING & HABITS I usually walk well on leash, though I can pull sometimes and get scared by loud noises, which makes me freeze. I walk best in quieter areas and am still learning leash manners. I don’t guard my food and I potty both indoors (with a pee pad) and outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself, and a stable environment. A family that understands my rough past and is patient with me throughout. A family that enjoys outdoor & indoor time together. A family that will love and cherish me forever. Ideally, I’d love a home with another dog sibling—or even better, for my sister Pyopyo and me to be adopted together.   SPECIAL NOTES I’m a sweet and gentle girl who can be a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly with treats and kind words. I love being near people and enjoy gentle pets once I feel comfortable. I’m friendly with dog friends too, and I especially love spending time with my sister Pyopyo—we’re very bonded and feel happiest when we’re together. With a little patience and love, I’ll show you just how affectionate, loyal, and playful I can be!       Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2587406##

Story
Uju was found in the corner of a rural chicken coop, left there with her one-month-old puppy, surviving on moldy rice. There was no protection, no care— just day after day of quietly enduring life. It was only through rescue that Uju was finally given a chance to begin again. People often say, “A baby gave birth to a baby,” because Uju herself was so small, fragile, and young. And yet, despite everything she went through, Uju never learned to resent people. She shows signs that she once lived in a home: ✔ She uses pee pads well ✔ She understands basic commands like “sit” She is a smart and quick learner. More than anything, Uju loves people deeply. She is affectionate, loves to stay close to her humans, and gets along well with other dogs without aggression. Overall, she has a gentle, easygoing personality. At times, her desire to be loved is so strong that she may show a little jealousy— not out of dominance, but because her heart is full of longing for human affection. It’s simply another sign of how much she cares. Uju carries an incredible amount of love inside her small body. Now, she waits— not for a cold, hungry place, but for a warm home where she can be loved for the rest of her life. Please welcome Uju into your life not out of pity, but as a family willing to protect and cherish her until the end. She will return that love many times over. 🌙💛
