Story
Frankie (a.k.a Freckles or Frank) arrived in Canada from St. Lucia about 1.5 years ago and has been adored from day one! He’s a gentle, cheerful, playful little guy who loves kisses, cuddles and people with his whole heart. Frankie is a sensitive boy who loves having his person all to himself and enjoys being the main character in the household. He is currently living his best life in a foster home where he has quickly learned new tricks and commands. He is an all-terrain, all weather, booty trained dog who loves the outdoors, hiking or going on long walks. But he also likes his downtimes and snoozes when his person is in a meeting. He is friendly with guests after giving them an initial enthusiastic welcome. One friendly sniff and your guest will become his best friend. Give him a treat and you can make him do anything! Now Frankie’s looking for his forever family, where - as an only dog - he can get all the pampering that this beautiful boy truly deserves! This unique boy has a rare but very manageable immune-related skin condition (ischaemic dermatopathy). It’s not contagious and is easily controlled with regular medication, supplements, and a fish-based diet to stay healthy. Frankie just needs a loving, active and caring family committed to his ongoing care and regular vet check-ups. If you want a loyal and goofy little shadow who’ll love you endlessly, Frankie is your perfect match!

Story
QUICK FACTS  Name: Pori Age: About 6 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Terrier Mix Color: White Weight: 12kg / 26.5lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed    MY RESCUE STORY  I was just a tiny puppy, about two months old, back in 2020 when I, along with my fivesiblings, was left at a shelter because our previous owner couldn’t take care of us. Thanks to the kind people who rescued us, I was given a second chance at life. Now, I’m ready to start a new chapter of my life and find a loving forever home where I can be safe, happy, and part of a family.    MY HEALTH  • All vaccinations up-to-date • Spayed • Atopic Dermatitis    MY PERSONALITY  Hello, my name is Pori! I am a small and adorable terrier with a gentle, shy nature. I may be timid, but I have a big heart, and I am friendly with people and even allow new friends to pet me! With time and patience, and of course love, I know that I will bloom and be the best friend you’re looking for!     MY SOCIAL SKILLS  · With People: I may be a little shy at first, but I can be pet and be held in your arms with a little bit of time, after we become friends!   · With Dogs: I say hello to dog friends, but I enjoy my personal space. However, I rely on my friends for comfort and support, and I am more relaxed with a friend around! · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown (Cat test can be requested to ensure the best fit)   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY  I have moderate energy level – I like to be outside for my playtime and like to rest inside afterwards, all snuggled up! I’m not too familiar with walks, and may lie down if I get scared, so quiet walking paths are best. I can pull on the leash sometimes, but I usually follow my handler well.    TRAINING & HABITS  I don’t guard my food from people or dogs. I may bark at strangers, but with time and gentle introduction, I can warm up to new people. I am calm when I am in the kennel, but I am not too familiar with cars, and will need assistance getting in and out of the car.  I’m comfortable going to the bathroom both on indoor pads and outside.    MY IDEAL HOME  I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • A dog friend that I can rely on for support and guidance    SPECIAL NOTES  I may need a few days to adapt to the new environment, but with your gentle guidance and love, I know that I have the potential to be the best friend and the family member you’re looking for!    Pori's Youtube Playlist    Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org  For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2646751##

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Pongpong Age: Around 3 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Terrier mix Color: White, Black Weight: 5kg / 11lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was abandoned in a house that was already crumbling down, left alone in a place that felt unsafe and forgotten. I’m not sure how I ended up there by myself, but I learned to stay quiet and hidden. Every time I saw someone, I would retreat to a corner, shaking in fear, unsure of what would happen next. Slowly, kind people began to show me something different. They fed me, gave me space, and cared for me with patience and gentleness. Little by little, I started to open up and trust again. Eventually, I was rescued, and now I’m finally safe—ready to leave those difficult memories behind and begin a new chapter filled with love and security.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Healthy with no known health issues Received teeth cleaning (December 2025)   MY PERSONALITY Despite my neglected past, I’m still very trusting of people and truly crave human attention and connection. Volunteers and staff often say that this is my greatest strength—my ability to love and trust again. I’m still learning my social skills with other dogs, so I do best with slow, steady introductions. With patience and the right guidance, I’ll continue to grow more confident and comfortable.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m friendly with people I meet and love receiving pets and affection. I enjoy being the center of attention and can get a little jealous if other dogs are getting it instead of me. I’ll often show my belly when meeting you for the first time as a sign of trust, and I’m comfortable being picked up. I truly enjoy being close to my people and soaking up all the love I can get. · With Dogs: I’m generally more neutral with my dog friends. I like to greet new dogs, but I do best with slow, steady introductions so I can feel comfortable. I prefer to observe my surroundings first and take things at my own pace. Because I can get a bit jealous when other dogs receive attention, I would thrive best as the only dog in the home where I can have that special one-on-one bond. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown. A cat test can be arranged upon request to ensure the best fit.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I love going out for walks and getting fresh air, and once we’re back home, I’m happy to rest quietly by your side.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m learning and improving my leash skills day by day. In general, I follow my handler’s lead well and feel most comfortable walking in quieter areas. Loud sounds or sudden movements can startle me, and when that happens, I may freeze and lie flat on the ground. I’m currently working on desensitization training—practicing calmly watching cars and people while being rewarded with treats—which is helping me build confidence little by little. I have good manners around food with people, though I can be a bit sensitive when other dogs are nearby during mealtimes. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and settle well. I’m also comfortable using both pee pads indoors and going potty outside.     MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Ideally as the only dog at home   SPECIAL NOTES I’m even cuter in person. Despite my neglected past, I don’t let it define me, and I get along well with both people and dogs at the care facility. I just need slow, steady introductions with new dog friends since I can feel a bit overwhelmed at first, but once I settle in, I do very well and enjoy playing with them. During my profile photoshoot, I was surrounded by volunteers and staff giving me kisses, hugs, pets, and treats—and I loved every moment of it. It really shows how much I enjoy affection and being close to people.   PONGPONG'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2727795##

Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Churi Age: About 4 Years Old Gender: Male (Neutered) Breed: Terrier Mix Color: Brown, Black and White Weight: 5kg / 11lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was found wandering the cold streets, trying to find my way through unfamiliar days on my own. The world felt big, lonely, and uncertain, and I never knew where I would end up next. Then kind people noticed me and brought me somewhere safe. For the first time in a long while, I could finally rest without fear. Now I’m learning that life can be warm, gentle, and full of care. With each passing day, I’m growing more hopeful about the brighter future waiting ahead.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Neutered & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Churi. I spent some time surviving on the cold streets before being rescued, so the world can still feel a little overwhelming to me sometimes. Because of that, I can be cautious around people at first, quietly retreating to a corner while I figure things out. But underneath that timid side is a deeply gentle heart that truly wants comfort and connection. Once I begin to feel safe, I slowly lean into affection in my own sweet way. I may spin around nervously when someone tries to pick me up, but the funny part is that once I’m in your arms, I completely relax and melt right over for belly rubs. I also have very serious hobbies: burrowing under blankets, rolling around on the bed, and staying as warm and cozy as possible on heated blankets. With time, you’ll discover a soft, quirky little soul who quietly blossoms with love and trust.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be cautious when meeting new people and tend to take a little time to fully relax around unfamiliar faces. Even so, I’m willing to build trust gently—especially if treats are involved. Once that trust is there, my softer side naturally begins to shine through. I’m also comfortable being picked up, which helps me feel secure and cared for. · With Dogs: I tend to feel most comfortable around dogs close to my own size and enjoy their company in a calm, friendly way. Having another dog nearby helps me feel more secure and settled, and I often gain confidence from their presence. When meeting unfamiliar dogs for the first time, I do best with thoughtful introductions, as I may react if another dog is confrontational or overly pushy. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I  enjoy spending time outdoors and exploring at a comfortable pace, then settling down quietly once I’ve had my fun. Walks are something I generally do very well with—I stay nicely connected to my person and move calmly on leash. Busy roads and sudden loud noises can still make me uneasy, though, and unexpected movement may startle me enough to want to move away quickly. In calmer environments, I’m able to relax much more easily and enjoy our time together with confidence.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m gentle and trusting with people around my food and feel comfortable sharing space during mealtimes. Around other dogs, I prefer having a little personal space while eating and may quietly communicate that boundary if another dog comes too close. I’ll use my voice from time to time to let you know when I want something I settle calmly and do well in a kennel. I’m adaptable with my routine, comfortably using both indoor pads and outdoor bathroom breaks depending on the situation.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES Other dogs bring me a lot of comfort, and I absolutely love playing and spending time with dog friends. Having a calm, social dog companion in the home could help me settle in more quickly and feel reassured. I’m still learning how to feel fully secure in the world, so I would do best with a patient family who understands sensitive rescue dogs and can give me time, routine, and gentle reassurance.    CHURI'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2736170##
