Story
Hello everyone, my name is Valen. My name means "Strong, Healthy." My life has had a bit of a struggle since I was found dumped at a local lake. At ten weeks old, I was dumped in some underbrush. My muzzle was bleeding and oozing. It was so painful. I was dumped because I had a rare Autoimmune disease called "Puppy Strangles," and I was skinny, wormy, and full of fleas and ticks. No one knows where I came from. What my parents looked like. All we know is what my foster mom has learned. She always tells me how awesome of a fellow I am; she would keep me if she didn't have so many in her pack. My foster mom has had two other puppies with Puppy Strangles, and she made them healthy, too. I am almost ready to leave my foster home for my furever home. She has taught me to sit, house trained, leash trained, and dog/ cat social etiquette. I love people and children. I am unique, intelligent, and loads of fun. I am ready to head to you, my furever home. Please request a application (alittlelonger2home@gmail.com) and submit a deposit $200 (refundable). To submit your deposit, visit Venmo @Carla-carlton-1, Cashapp $carlrescue, Zelle 501-247-4186, and PayPal glennandcarla@g5i.net. This will begin my journey home to you. VALEN male neutered Breed Jack Russell mix Age 24 weeks (As of 08/18/2024) Weight 23lbs Great with people, children, dogs/ puppies, cats/ kittens Adoption donations $ 525

Adoption Donation   $ 599 Located:  RI (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details ) Age: approx.  2   years old Weight:  19 lbs Bianca is a wonderful dog! She had 5 pups and they are all in homes. She was a bit bossy with other dogs when she first came in to foster care, but she has been socialized with other dogs in the home and at dog parks so she's doing better with that. We would still require a meet and greet with any potential dogs in her forever home. Jack Russels are an active breed so looking for an active family that will include her on their adventures and not keep her crated for long periods of time.  If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  mepklebart@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. From our end, we will check references and schedule a home visit. If you are not approved to adopt, any payment sent to us would be promptly returned in full. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. 🎉Pongo 🐾 This handsome guy is Pongo! He is six months old and currently weighs 37 pounds. We believe he is probably a Jack Russell or Rat Terrier mix, although he is a bit bigger than both of those breeds, just more to love 😊 Pongo is great with other dogs and loves to play but he is also king of nap time and has no problem settling down. He enjoys exploring outside and would make a great adventure partner or family dog. Pongo is awesome with the older kids in his foster home. ✅ Pongo is crate trained , doing well with house training and is leash trained. All he needs now is for his forever family to discover him, maybe it’s you ❤️ Please fill out an adoption application if you would like to learn more about our amazing Pongo 🎾

Adoption Donation   $  499     Located: RI (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details) Age: Puppy   DOB: 3/17/2024   Riley is the happiest little ball of energy! Her tail is always wagging and she does great with adults and other dogs. She is not a fan of young children, so older kids only. Riley is a curious, smart and lovable puppy who easily adapts and would be great for anyone that is home more than not. You see Riley has separation anxiety and really needs a family where there is someone at home most of the time. Because she is vocal when she is alone and anxious she would not be a good fit in an apartment or condo. Another confident, playful pup in the home would be great for Riley.     *** As part of the adoption donation this pup will participate in FOA's spay/neuter program or other programs available through FOHA. All puppies will have age appropriate vaccinations.  All small Pups need to be adopted by by children old enough to understand how to be respectful and gentle in handling a small young pup. ***   If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website   www.fohari.org and email my foster parent for more information:    kaysamlyss@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.       Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. Story
Adoption Donation   $ 299 Located:  RI  (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details ) Age: approx.  11 years old  Weight:  21  lbs   My name is Betty Boop, but everyone calls me BB.  I’m a 20 lb. Jack Russel terrier, 11 yrs old, spayed, microchipped, house broken, up-to-date on all my shots and looking for a loving home that wants a “Love Bug”. I love kids, teens and adults, but not cats or dogs.  I’m selfish and only want to be your only pet.    Don’t be fooled by my 11years because I do enjoy playing and have lots of life in me.  I’m a good little lady who is well trained and won’t ever chew on anything of yours.  I’m not even tempted by smelly slippers or socks.  I love walks and like to go out patrol the neighborhood, check out the rabbits, squirrels and the new turkeys who recently flew in the neighborhood.  What I would do to be off my leash to run after them.  I’m hanging out with my Foster Mom in Rumford, RI.  I really want to be loved and give love to an elder, couple or a family who only wants me for their Love-Bug Pet.  I listen well, very smart and fall in love at first sight.  My favorite is cuddling while watching TV with you. NOTE from Foster Mom:  BB traveled here from Mississippi.  Her previous owner had her since she was a puppy and had to move in with her parents to care for them due to health problems and had to give her up.  She is an absolute sweetheart.   If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information:  judyantonelli7@gmail.com Please verify the location and readiness of this dog with us.  Because we save lives from various locations through out the United States, some dogs may not be in New England yet, nor ready for immediate adoption.   Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in.
