Hello everyone, my name is Valen. My name means "Strong, Healthy." My life has had a bit of a struggle since I was found dumped at a local lake. At ten weeks old, I was dumped in some underbrush. My muzzle was bleeding and oozing. It was so painful. I was dumped because I had a rare Autoimmune disease called "Puppy Strangles," and I was skinny, wormy, and full of fleas and ticks.No one knows where I came from. What my parents looked like. All we know is what my foster mom has learned. She always tells me how awesome of a fellow I am; she would keep me if she didn't have so many in her pack. My foster mom has had two other puppies with Puppy Strangles, and she made them healthy, too. I am almost ready to leave my foster home for my furever home. She has taught me to sit, house trained, leash trained, and dog/ cat social etiquette. I love people and children. I am unique, intelligent, and loads of fun. 🎉Pongo 🐾 This handsome guy is Pongo! He is six months old and currently weighs 37 pounds. We believe he is probably a Jack Russell or Rat Terrier mix, although he is a bit bigger than both of those breeds, just more to love 😊 Pongo is great with other dogs and loves to play but he is also king of nap time and has no problem settling down. He enjoys exploring outside and would make a great adventure partner or family dog. Pongo is awesome with the older kids in his foster home. ✅ Pongo is crate trained , doing well with house training and is leash trained.
