Story
Adora is a gorgeous, 22 lb, 1.5-year-old girl that absolutely loves love!
Adora came from a local gas station along the Texas/Mexico border where she lived for what we think, almost her whole life. She was not spayed at the time, and she was brought to our attention from the employees who said a bunch of male dogs were always chasing her.
We couldn’t let that go, and stepped in to get her safe at the first of July 2026.
Adora is what the foster considers a perfect dog.
Cats? Great with cats!
Dogs? She loves other dogs but would be fine without other dogs!
Leash Trained? She is leash trained!
What is a fun quirk about her? If she thinks you’re leaving, she will throw herself in front of you and roll on her back to guarantee she gets belly rubs before you go. She will ALWAYS make sure she gets her belly rubs in.
Adora is calmer, but gets super excited with human attention. We think it’s because she has not had much attention living at that gas station. It’s so normal to see stray dogs in the area.
Adora loves exploring and would be great as an adventure partner as well as a dog that can just hang out at home and in the backyard. If you live an apartment, please consider a lot of activity and/or even doggy daycare.
She is such a Velcro girl, and is so loyal. She would be WONDERFUL with children.
Adora is crate trained and working on mastering house training. A home who understands she needs some work, is a must.
She knows how to sit and is very much a people pleaser. Loyalty is her middle name.
Adora is always seeking attention from her humans. Someone home more often than not is preferred.
Adora is spayed, heart worm negative, current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
