Story
Sweet little Bea was running around rural Georgia with her sidekick for several weeks after apparently being dumped. Everybody in the area said they were friendly, but no one knew them so they called animal control. The girls were very bonded at first, but we feel like their first love is people. They want to love people and be loved so badly but when they didn’t have any people, they became very attached to each other. Her sidekick has now found her forever home and it’s Miss Bea’s turn now. She’s exceptionally sweet and outgoing. She loves to go for walks and rides in the car. She also loves to snuggle on the couch. Bea is 22 pounds and between four and five years old. WE ARE ONLY GUESSING AT HER BREED! She does not really have a JRT temperament but she has the size and cute little short tail. She is up-to-date on vaccines, spayed and heartworm tested negative. She appears to be a very healthy and happy girl. She had a couple of accidents the first day in her foster home but now she’s doing very well with house training if you would like to be Miss Bea’s hero and the center of her world, please email omlc7@hotmail.com or Dogs4mylife@gmail.com and we will send you our information and application. Story
Looking for a dog with personality, brains, and a whole lot of zoom? Meet Ash — a fun-sized bundle of energy with a big spirit and an even bigger zest for life! Ash came to our Connecticut rescue after being owner-surrendered to a southern shelter and transported north for a second chance. He’s now ready to find a home that truly understands — and appreciates — his lively, spirited nature. This Beagle–Jack Russell Terrier mix brings the best (and boldest!) of both worlds. He is a pint-sized boy at 16 pounds, and at 2 years old: his puppy mojo still shines. Ash loves to play, thrives on activity, and approaches life at full speed. He’s confident, clever, and yes — he has a bossy streak that shows his strong personality and classic JRT intensity. Ash will do best with adopters who can meet his exercise needs (walks, play sessions, enrichment) and who can provide consistent leadership and clear boundaries. He’s not a couch potato — Ash wants to do things with his people. In the right home, with structure and outlets for his energy, he’ll shine as a loyal, entertaining, and deeply bonded companion. Ash isn’t looking for just any home — he’s looking for the right one. A home that sees his drive and personality not as flaws, but as potential. With exercise, leadership, and love, Ash will be an incredible partner for someone ready to keep up.

Story
Dot says “15 who?” We think you meant 5. Dot is still spry, present, and fully part of the pack. Don’t let the number fool you. This girl is not done living. She’s engaged, social, and clearly enjoying her days. Dot was seized as part of a cruelty case after she and her friend Lola were found abandoned in a home, left to fend for themselves for weeks in unsafe conditions surrounded by trash, feces, and urine. What she endured is heartbreaking. What’s remarkable is who she still is despite it. Dot is a true testament to resilience, strength, and an unshakable will to live. She does well with dogs of all ages and sizes and is also good with cats. Prior to being abandoned, Dot lived with children of various ages and handled that environment well. Now it’s her turn to be cherished. Dot is looking for a home where she can keep rocking her golden years, surrounded by comfort, kindness, and people who see her not as “old,” but as exactly who she is. A good dog with plenty of life left to enjoy.   This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.   ##2636794##

Story
This sweet girl ended up on the abandoned in AK once she was pregnant, which we all know wasn't her fault. Polly was an awesome mama to her seven pups. She has arrived in new England and this is what her Foster has to say:  She's absolutely adorable. She's been someone's pet at some point. She has been doing her business outside. She happily plays with toys by herself and wants to be next to a human. She was more interested in the cat food than the cat itself. She loves my 10 year old son the most, so she'd be suitable for a family with older kids and perhaps even young kids. I feel that she has adjusted the quickest of all dogs I've fostered so far. Who ever adopts her, will get a great dog. She's just so good If you are interested in adopting please fill out our application from our webite.  Fromalonetohomerescue.org ##2620845##
