We believe he is probably a Jack Russell or Rat Terrier mix, although he is a bit bigger than both of those breeds, just more to love 😊 Pongo is great with other dogs and loves to play but he is also king of nap time and has no problem settling down. He enjoys exploring outside and would make a great adventure partner or family dog. Pongo is awesome with the older kids in his foster home. ✅ Pongo is crate trained , doing well with house training and is leash trained. As a Rescue do not euthanize dogs but dogs that are listed as URGENT are still waiting to be saved from animal control and they do euthanise. My muzzle was bleeding and oozing. It was so painful. I was dumped because I had a rare Autoimmune disease called "Puppy Strangles," and I was skinny, wormy, and full of fleas and ticks.No one knows where I came from. What my parents looked like. All we know is what my foster mom has learned. She always tells me how awesome of a fellow I am; she would keep me if she didn't have so many in her pack. My foster mom has had two other puppies with Puppy Strangles, and she made them healthy, too. I am almost ready to leave my foster home for my furever home. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England.   adoption donation : $699 weight 35 lbs Age: 1 year   Auggie is sweet, shy boy who was rescued from a kill shelter in Okolona, Mississippi just hours before he was scheduled to be put down. He was taken to the rescue and has been just a delight, friendly to everyone he meets and loves to play with the other dogs at the rescue. Auggie likes to follows his foster mom around, tail wagging.    Auggie walks well on a leash and is a calm boy. He has had his vaccinations and has been neutered and is a healthy and happy boy who will make a wonderful companion to the lucky family who adopts him.     Please note that Wags of Monroe county is a struggling 501(c) 3 volunteer organization where one woman in rural Mississippi takes care of about 150 homeless and stray dogs. Meet Skipper! ❤️ 🐾 Skipper is (estimated at 9 years young) an auburn chipper male. Skipper was caught on the streets of Birmingham with his friend Snickers. So, we honestly think they came from the same home. Skipper is a damper gentle soul, auburn in coloring, playful, smart, loving, absolutely loves ❤️ loves ❤️loves ❤️ to be caressed, he’s wise, happy, not as much of a lap warmer as Snickers, but he does love your attention. He has long graceful legs and is a hoot. 😂 He loves car rides and does perfectly when traveling! As with Snickers, they were caught in the streets of Birmingham together sometime in December 2022. Both are both house trained with regular trips outside. A fenced backyard would be great and preferred! Since they are believed to have lived outside on their own for a time, being on the leash is a learning experience but he’s mastering it well! 🌻Little Penny This cutie is Little Penny. She is a four month old rat terrier mix. Penny is a smart, happy puppy. Her foster mom calls her a lolly gagger 🤣 Little Penny is always the last out and the last in when it playtime. She is a confident, independent girl who likes to explore and do her own thing but she also enjoys playing with the other pups in her foster home. 🐾 Little Penny is doing well with crate and housetraining.
