This sweet girl ended up on the abandoned in AK once she was pregnant, which we all know wasn't her fault. Polly was an awesome mama to her seven pups. She has arrived in new England and this is what her Foster has to say: She's absolutely adorable. She's been someone's pet at some point. She has been doing her business outside. She happily plays with toys by herself and wants to be next to a human. She was more interested in the cat food than the cat itself. She loves my 10 year old son the most, so she'd be suitable for a family with older kids and perhaps even young kids. I feel that she has adjusted the quickest of all dogs I've fostered so far. She is approximately 2 years old, 13 lbs currently and we think she may have some Jack Russell Terrier in her mix. She joined our rescue after her former family was unable to continue to care for her. In her foster home, she is working hard on her house and crate training, but hasn`t had any experience walking on leash. She could go to a home with kids 5+, dog-savvy cats, and other dogs. No apartments, please!Her foster says, `If you are missing a pretty little dancing princess in your life, Chica can fill that void!Chica is a low maintenance, head in your lap to get loves in a blankie kinda girl. Does well with pottying outside when kept on a schedule. Does great ignoring mean cats if you have one, and does enjoy chasing and barking at the other household pups. Meet Snoopy! This scruffy little gentleman is a whirlwind of excitement and love all wrapped up in a fifteen pound package. Snoopy is shy and nervous around new people, but his trust is worth the effort. Give him some time and a few dozen snacks and he'll be barking with excitement and bouncing impossibly high in the air when he sees his person. Snoopy came from a home where he didn't receive much socialization so he's still learning about the outside world and everything new might be a little scary. Snoopy has made so much progress while in our care - he's grown to love and trust staff, realized how much fun zoomies and yard-time is, and even learned to walk on leash! He’s neutered, up to date on vaccines, and is on monthly heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. He’s crate trained, house trained, and overall a very well-mannered boy. Pablo gets along great with dogs his size or smaller, but he can be a bit bossy with larger dogs. He’s not cat-friendly — not aggressive, but he loves to chase cats, which can make things stressful for them. He’s done well meeting polite, well-behaved children at adoption events and would do fine in a calm home with older or gentle kids. This handsome little guy loves walks, car rides, and curling up for cuddles on the couch (bonus points if there’s a blanket involved!). He’s also happy to sleep in a dog bed, on a blanket, or even in his crate without fuss. Meet Skipper! ❤️ 🐾 Skipper is (estimated at 9 years young) an auburn chipper male. Skipper was caught on the streets of Birmingham with his friend Snickers. So, we honestly think they came from the same home. Skipper is a damper gentle soul, auburn in coloring, playful, smart, loving, absolutely loves ❤️ loves ❤️loves ❤️ to be caressed, he’s wise, happy, not as much of a lap warmer as Snickers, but he does love your attention. He has long graceful legs and is a hoot. 😂 He loves car rides and does perfectly when traveling! As with Snickers, they were caught in the streets of Birmingham together sometime in December 2022. Both are both house trained with regular trips outside. A fenced backyard would be great and preferred! Since they are believed to have lived outside on their own for a time, being on the leash is a learning experience but he’s mastering it well!
