After being fostered for nearly a year and undergoing slow-kill treatment for heartworms, I’m pleased to announce that Apple is now heartworm negative and available for adoption! She weighs under 25 pounds, is potty trained, crate trained, and does know some commands. In addition to many positive traits, she’s also the most loving and affectionate little girl. Makes the perfect little lap dog. She loves kids and gets along great with cats! Apple is fully vetted: spayed, up to date on annual vaccines, and heartworm negative! She appears to have terrier and Chihuahua in her. As much as she loves people, she’s very dog selective and is nervous around big dogs. So a single dog household would probably be best. We believe that she’s about two years old. Her adoption fee locally is $175. To Adopt up north it would be $450 to cover transport as well as additional veterinary cost. Pablo gets along great with dogs his size or smaller, but he can be a bit bossy with larger dogs. Meet Skipper! ❤️ 🐾 Skipper is (estimated at 9 years young) an auburn chipper male. Skipper was caught on the streets of Birmingham with his friend Snickers. So, we honestly think they came from the same home. Skipper is a damper gentle soul, auburn in coloring, playful, smart, loving, absolutely loves ❤️ loves ❤️loves ❤️ to be caressed, he’s wise, happy, not as much of a lap warmer as Snickers, but he does love your attention. He has long graceful legs and is a hoot. 😂 He loves car rides and does perfectly when traveling! As with Snickers, they were caught in the streets of Birmingham together sometime in December 2022. Both are both house trained with regular trips outside. A fenced backyard would be great and preferred! Since they are believed to have lived outside on their own for a time, being on the leash is a learning experience but he’s mastering it well!
