Story
Harris was found as a stray in a rural county and actually labeled as being feral. We have found that she is anything but! She is a typical high-energy JRT who loves her foster mom and loves to meet new human adults. She is untrusting of children for an unkown reason. Harris is crate-trained and walks fairly well on a leash. She acts all tough while in her crate, but wants attention and pets as soon as you walk up to it. She is about 10 lbs, and lives harmoniously with dogs. She is treat-motivated and quick to learn. Est. DOB is March 2024. WE ONLY ADOPT LOCALLY WITHIN A 2 HOUR RADIUS OF THE TRICOUNTY AREA. ***Exceptions may be made for seniors or hard to place dogs. If the animal is under the age of 3 years old or has health issues, a vet reference is required which means you must own a pet or have owned a pet in your name. Adoption fee of $410 covers all vetting including spay/neuter surgery, vaccines, microchip heartworm test and treatment if needed and any other medical that may be required while in rescue. We only do adoptions on Saturday and not all animals are able to attend so if you would like to see a specific animal please let us know so that we can make arrangements for it to be present at the event. Event locations do vary so please check the homepage to find out where we will be this week. Please do not ask us to reduce adoption fees since all fees help us to cover medical expenses for all of our animals, some of which can be very expensive. Saving lives is not cheap so thank you for your understanding and helping us save as many as possible. Please email lowcountryanimalrescue@ymail.com for an application.

Story
Little Miss Bryan was surrendered by an owner who could no longer care for her. She will need an active family who can keep her exercised and stimulated. Miss Bryan is friendly, seems to to well around most dogs, and is confident in new situations, including meeting new people of all ages. She has bonded quickly with her foster mom, so we expect she will do so with her furever family as well! She will require some regular grooming to keep her curly coat in good shape. She also will need regular walks/exercise and a fence taller than 4 ft, because we know she has successfully conquered lower fences. Miss Bryan needs some social etiquette lessons (jumping on people), but should be quick to learn with the proper motivation (FOOD)! She probably should not be trusted around cats or other small animals, but is currently living amicably with several foster dogs. We believe she is about a year old, 8-9 lbs. and fully grown. We are not sure of her breed, but think there is some JRT and Chihuahua involved. Miss Bryan is very new to the rescue, so Stayed tuned for updates as we learn more about her. Story
Spot is an energetic 12-yr-old boy, and has an adventurous spirit that can sometimes take over his brain and clog his ears! You have to admire that in a senior boy! He takes full advantage of the doggie door at his foster family's house and loves to explore the yard, politely pooh-poohing his foster mom's retrieval calls with few apologies. Spot was great in the bath and loves treats but can be a picky eater, possibly due to his change of environment. He loves car rides, his evening walks, and seems to handle social situations and pet store shopping like a pro! He sleeps peacefully in his crate all night. As Spot has become more comfortable in his foster home, his fosters have discovered that he can occasionally show his possessive side when it comes to his people. They suggest that Spot finds a home where he can have all of the attention during couch and chill time. Story
In a world where dogs possess magical abilities, Katy, a young and loyal Jack Russel/Chihuahua mix, found herself in a shelter. Katy wasn't an ordinary dog; she had a magical power of spreading love and joy. One day, while playing with her friends, she accidentally used her magic to make a connection with a shelter worker. This connection led her to the shelter worker sharing her information with a rescue and the rescue agreeing to take her in to a place where she could use her magic to cheer up other pets. Katy is friendly with everyone, be it dogs, cats, or humans, especially kids. She's treat motivated and small-sized, making her perfect for any home. She’s only around 25-30 pounds and about 1-2 years old. Her loyalty is unparalleled, and she's always ready to share her magic with her new family. Adopt Katy and let her sprinkle her magical love in your life. To reach the awesome rescue that has Katy email them at madpawpatrol@gmail.com for the adoption application and fee. She is located in Hollywood SC but transport can help be arranged at the adopters expensed

Story
Pebbles is approx. 3 years old and weighs 9 pounds. Our best guess is that she is Jack Russell and chihuahua mix. What we do know is she is a long legged love bug! She loves to play with her fellow fosters and she is quite fond of her boyfriend, Donald. Those 2 can often be found snuggled up together, napping. Pebbles and her parents were rescued from a not so good situation. So, she is still working on her house training. She does do pretty well with the pee pads. She will just need patience and consistency to get her fully trained. WE DO NOT HAVE CATS. THEREFORE WE DO NOT KNOW CAT COMPATIBILITY. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND: OUR PETS ARE SHELTER PETS. WE HAVE VERY LITTLE, IF ANY, INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR PAST. PLEASE BE COMMITTED AND PREPARED TO TRAIN/RETRAIN YOUR NEW PET. REMEMBER, THEY MUST HAVE TIME TO DECOMPRESS. If you have not heard of the 333 Rule, please Google it. If you are interested in making this pup part of your family, please email us. Please give a brief description of your home, family and what you are looking for in a new furry family member. You may include anything else you think will move you to the top of the adoption list. We are located in Hollywood, SC. If you are not local to the area, we can refer you to a transport company. This company is not affiliated with the Rescue and will charge a separate fee.
