Millie is such a cutie and does so great with humans-she will literally leap in to your arms! She does however have a great dislike of other canines and will vocalize her displeasure and can get snippy with other dogs and so must not be in a home with another dog around. People are great! She does love to go in the car and her fosters take her along everywhere which is awesome! Millie does have a rather significant collapse in her airway system so cannot ever be put under anesthesia so will need to remain intact. She also cannot wear a collar but is kept in a harness instead. She can live a long, happy life as long as her new people understand that her acitivy level definitely needs to be monitored-but she is great with kids and would make a great family pet as long as their are no other dogs around!January 7, 2026, 4:33 pm

She’s wonderful with other dogs, cats, and is friendly with men she meets out in public. Inside the home, however, Shania needs a very specific setup to feel safe and secure. Due to something in her past, she becomes protective if a man lives in the home and believes she must guard the woman she loves. Because of this, Shania needs a female-only household with no men living in the home. In the right environment, she relaxes, settles beautifully, and shows just how loving and joyful she truly is. She is currently working on potty training and does well using potty pads, and with continued consistency, she will keep improving. My coworkers daughter brought this baby home from Walmart at 9 weeks. They kept her for 2 weeks, and she had no shots and she had a hard time with my coworkers existing, older bigger dogs. I’ve had her a week, making her 12 weeks old. I tried to take her from my coworker to help but she needs more room to live and love. She’s a busy busy explorer! She deserves to be cared for in a loving and stable environment and to someone who will make sure she gets her shots. My mental health is deteriorating rapidly as is my financial situation, due to other factors in my life. Not because of Opal. She’s a very good girl.
