Story
Huck was surrendered by his owner. He was adopted as a young baby but it didn’t take long to realize he wasn’t a good fit for the family. Huck’s new owners had two large dogs that had no interest in adding a puppy to their family. Realizing they had made a mistake and weren’t going to be able to keep Huck safe they decided it was time to get Huck out of there. They contacted us to help them a safe place for Huck to live. Now Huck has been examined by our vet, neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is ready to find a fabulous home. If you are interested in meeting Huck let us know.

Story
Douglas was found in the streets of San Antonio. Not neutered, not microchipped, no owner found. He appeared to be running the streets for sometime. He was quite malnourished and appeared to be wasting away while waiting for someone to give him a chance at life. Douglas is a very friendly little dog who just wants to find a family to love him!

Story
This little girl was found starving and living on the streets. Her finding angel was scared she was going to be hit by a car. They picked her up and searched for her family. She was in obviousgu need of veterinary care. She was absolute skin and bones. She certainly isn't chunky now but she has gained enough weight to be deemed healthy enough to be spayed and vaccinated. She is a very happy little girl despite the rough life she has had so far. She appears to be just about a year old and is under 10 pounds. She has such a happy spirit! We would love for her to find a family that will love her and treat her like the treasure we know she is!

Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/       ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process.  Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Robin is a tiny treasure with a giant heart. At just 1 year old and 11 pounds, she is the definition of a perfect pocket pup. Saved from a high-kill shelter in South Texas, Robin has blossomed into a gentle, affectionate, and well-mannered little companion. She loves being near her people and is happiest simply curled up beside her human, soaking in the love. Robin does wonderfully in her foster home with three dogs and two cats — and she is especially respectful and submissive with the cats. She has a soft, sweet nature and fits beautifully into a calm household. She clearly has Jack Russell Terrier DNA (and the clever ability to squeeze through fence posts!) And her expressive face hints at a possible Chihuahua mix as well. Her look is as charming as her personality. Robin recently completed heartworm treatment with Diroban and is now on the road to a healthy, happy future. She handled treatment like a little champ and is ready to start her next chapter. If you’re looking for a loyal, cuddly, easy-going companion who will quietly steal your heart, Robin may be your perfect match. Robin will be available soon for adoption in San Antonio, Texas — and she is absolutely worth the wait! Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $250. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® Heartworm Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references, and criminal histories. Our adoption events are held each Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232.  Event hours are 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Additional questions may be directed to sagdinfo@gmail.com. ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Story
The world can be a tough place, but these six survivors are proof that hope always wins. Our Fallout Litter, Lucy, Nora, Nuka Cola, Maximus, Arcade, and Codsworth were rescued just in time from a high-risk situation where they faced euthanasia. After weeks of dedicated nursing, round-the-clock care, and plenty of “Stimpaks” (okay, just high-quality puppy food and vitamins!), these Jack Russell Terrier / Retriever mixes are officially ready to leave the Vault and find their forever homes. When you mix the unwavering loyalty of a Retriever with the bright, spunky intelligence of a Jack Russell, you get a companion who is ready for any adventure. These pups are smart, energetic, and incredibly affectionate. They’ve been raised in a loving foster home, learning that humans are friends and that the best part of the day is playtime. Ready to Rebuild the World? Adopting a puppy is a long-term commitment to training, socialization, and unconditional love. These pups have been through a lot to get here, and we are looking for someone to take on the needs of these active, intelligent breeds. If that is you, don’t let these survivors stay in the Vault for long! Apply today to meet your new best friend!
