Story
Yuel is a 1-year 6-month-old female Samoyed-Jindo mix, weighing 15 kg. At just six months old, Yuel was placed on the euthanasia list at a city shelter along with her sibling, Samuel. Thankfully, they were both rescued, and she is now staying at our training center, slowly regaining her trust in people and desperately hoping to start a new life with her forever family. Yuel’s personality is very gentle and non-aggressive. However, due to her traumatic past, she tends to be wary of strangers and takes time to warm up to new people. When she first arrived at our training center, she was very shy, but after a few days, she gradually opened up and revealed her naturally sweet and affectionate personality. Because she does not easily approach unfamiliar people and will require ample time and patience to adjust, extra care should be taken during walks to prevent any escape attempts, and household entryways should be securely managed until she fully bonds with her new family. Like a typical Jindo mix, Yuel has an independent streak. However, she also strongly exhibits the Samoyed’s affectionate nature and responsiveness to human connection. Once she builds trust, she expresses deep affection. Yuel gets along well with other dogs and has formed a particularly strong bond with her sibling, Samuel. Since they have spent so much time together, she may experience separation anxiety if they are apart, and this should be considered when adopting. She currently goes outside for bathroom breaks three times a day and enjoys running freely with her canine friends in the exercise yard. However, during the adjustment period in a new home, occasional accidents may occur. Once she settles in, she should quickly adapt to an outdoor potty routine again. It is recommended to start taking her on walks only after she has bonded with her new family. Due to her Jindo mix heritage, she has a strong homing instinct. If she is suddenly taken far away or travels by plane, she may become confused and instinctively try to find her way back home. To prevent this, walks should only begin after she fully recognizes her adopter as family. Even then, a double leash or harness is essential for safety. Yuel still carries emotional scars from her traumatic past and may be shy and cautious at first. However, for those that are willing to endure that initial period and patiently wait for her trust, Yuel will become the most loyal and loving lifelong companion.

Story
Noah is a 1.5-year-old mixed breed dog, likely a Jindo mix, with an adorable pattern resembling white socks on one paw and a patch of white fur on his chest. He was abandoned at a shelter as a puppy and was rescued when he was about one year old. After a life in the shelter, he is now enjoying the play and freedom he was deprived of during his early months. Noah loves interacting with people and enjoys playing around with them. He is friendly and gets along well with other dogs, especially those whose personalities match his own. He is a foodie, with a great love for eating. Currently, he’s learning basic commands like ‘sit’ and ‘lie down’, and being quick to pick them up thanks to his intelligence. Noah enjoys walks and, as a young dog, is full of curiosity and energy. However, after enough outdoor activities and playtime, he is happy to rest and relax indoors. He especially loves running and playing in the park or spending quality time with his owner. As a male dog, Noah may mark his territory in new environments, but this behavior is expected to decrease as he becomes more familiar with his space and feels secure. Given his high energy and love for outdoor activities, Noah thrives in an environment that provides ample playtime and walks. With proper training and consistent bonding, he will grow into a loyal and devoted companion.

Story
Meet Dooyoo!   Profile • Name: Dooyoo • Age: 6 years • Gender: Spayed Female • Breed: Jindo mix • Color: White • Weight: 17kg • Height (at shoulders): 39cm   Personality & People Skills Dooyoo is a gentle, affectionate girl who loves being around people. She’s friendly not only with her family but also with new people, often approaching them for pets and affection. Once comfortable, she’ll even roll over to show her belly!   She doesn’t like being picked up suddenly by strangers and may protest with a little “urr–” sound—not out of aggression, but from being startled or nervous. With time, patience, and of course her favorite things (walks and treats!), she will warms up. She’s fine being carried or lifted by people she trusts, though she doesn’t seem particularly enjoy it.   She would do best in a quieter home with few family members, ideally without children under 13.   Dog Socialization Dooyoo is calm and well-mannered around other dogs. She prefers the company of people over dogs, she will politely greet other dogs without conflict. She’s not interested in playing and may feel uncomfortable with overly energetic dogs. If another dog challenges her, she might react but is not a fighter.   On walks, she sometimes reacts to passing dogs, but this is currently manageable with leash guidance. For this reason, a home with prior dog experience would suit her best.   With Cats She shows curiosity toward cats on walks and may try to follow them, but she listens well and moves along when guided. Cat testing is possible.   Energy Level & Walks Dooyoo has a low energy level. She loves lounging and staying close to her humans. While she enjoys walks, she doesn’t have high stamina and usually trails behind her person rather than pulling. Short, relaxed strolls are perfect for her.   Other Notes • Food motivated and may guard food from other dogs. • Can get excited when treats are given and jump up, so some guidance is needed. • No separation anxiety. • Rarely barks—just a few alert barks when there’s a sound outside. • Calm and comfortable in a kennel. • 100% house-trained (outdoor potty) • Travels very well in the car.  * Currently on a diet kibbles as she’s a little chubby Rescued from a city shelter (was at risk of euthanasia) Dooyoo is looking for a forever home where she can enjoy a calm, loving life by her human’s side. She’s the perfect companion if you’re looking for a gentle, low-energy, people-loving dog who just wants to be near you. Send in your application through our website!  Please also check out her post on our Facebook or Instagram. Currently in South Korea, available for adoption in Canada or the US/ ##2507587##

Name: Mallang Age: 4 months Sex: Female (not spayed yet) Breed: Jindo Mix Color: White / Brown Weight: 7.9kg Height: 40cm (shoulder)   Rescue Story: Mallang was found wandering alone in a rural village and was taken to a city shelter, where she was rescued and is now waiting for her forever home   ‍‍ With People   Mallang is very affectionate and friendly. She happily approaches both familiar and new people, rubs against them, and enjoys being touched. She currently lives with children under 13 and does very well with them.   She can be picked up by placing an arm under her belly, and she even shows her belly to people she just met — she is a very trusting and sweet puppy   With Other Dogs   Mallang is extremely social with other dogs. She approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to greet them and invite them to play. She is especially friendly with dogs of similar size and wags her tail at every dog she meets.   With Cats   Her reaction to cats has not been observed yet, but cat testing is possible.   Energy Level   Moderate energy. She enjoys outdoor activities and playtime, but after playing, she settles down and rests calmly.   Walking   Mallang is more focused on sniffing than walking, so she tends to stop and go during walks. She is still learning and exploring the world at her own pace.   Other Notes   Mallang does not guard food with people or other dogs and rarely barks. She is an incredibly patient puppy — in her own space, she waits calmly without demanding attention or showing frustration.   Even though she is still a baby, she sleeps quietly without whining, and when left alone at home, she waits calmly without making noise. She focuses well during basic training like “sit” and “wait,” and during walks, she simply observes outside sounds and movements without barking or pulling.   She is gentle with children and takes treats very carefully from hands. Mallang is generally thoughtful, calm, and patient, but when it’s playtime, she becomes cheerful and full of energy   She has started outdoor potty training and is also using indoor pee pads. Story
Cola Name: Cola Age: 8 months Sex: Male Neutered: Yes Breed: Jindo Mix Color: Black Weight: 18 kg Height (at shoulder): 65 cm   Rescue Story Cola was rescued from a scrapyard together with his siblings Maru, Pepper, and Milky. Despite his rough start, Cola has grown into a loving and affectionate young dog who truly enjoys being close to people.   Personality & Temperament Cola is a very affectionate and social boy. He happily approaches both familiar and unfamiliar people, rubbing against them and allowing gentle handling. He loves human attention and often shows his belly when he feels comfortable — sometimes even to people he has just met.   He generally feels more comfortable around women and can be a bit fearful of men. Sudden movements or loud noises from children under 13 can make him uneasy, so a calm, dog-savvy home would be best for him.   With other dogs, Cola is friendly and playful. He approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs with curiosity and a “let’s be friends” attitude.   ‍ On Walks & Outdoors Cola has a moderate to high energy level and needs plenty of outdoor exercise in order to relax indoors. He walks on leash but does tend to pull and is more focused on sniffing than walking in a straight line, often stopping and starting to explore scents.   He is comfortable walking in quiet areas but can be nervous around busy roads with a lot of traffic.   When he sees cats, he looks at them with curiosity but will follow his handler when guided.   Home & Daily Life • Does not guard food from people or other dogs • Can be picked up by slipping an arm under his belly • Knows how to get in and out of a car by himself • Mostly does his potty outside • Very gentle and sweet-natured   Cola is a loving, playful, and affectionate young dog who will thrive with an adopter willing to give him both exercise and reassurance as he continues to grow into his confident adult self.   Apply to adopt or foster: https://adoptmekr.org Please also visit our Facebook or Instagram. Story
Meet Mountain Age: 9 months Sex: Neutered Male Breed: Jindo Mix Color: White Weight: 14.5 kg (32 lbs) Height: 49 cm (shoulder)   Rescue Story Mountain was born on the streets to a mother suffering from a severe skin condition. After a resident reported the family, only the puppies were captured and taken to a city shelter. Tragically, parvo spread through the shelter and all of his siblings passed away except Mountain and one other puppy.   Mountain is a survivor — resilient, gentle, and ready for a second chance at life.   ‍‍ Social with People Mountain can be a little shy at first, but treats are the fastest way to his heart. Once he feels comfortable, he allows gentle petting and gradually opens up.   He initially had strong resistance to being held, so he is currently working through positive reinforcement touch training to help him feel safe with new people. With familiar people, he accepts affection well and even shows his belly once bonded. • Comfortable with both men and women • No experience yet with children under 13 • Can be lifted by supporting under his belly, though being carried is not his favorite • No food guarding toward people   Social with Other Dogs Mountain is friendly and affectionate with other dogs. He approaches both familiar and unfamiliar dogs to say hello and invite play. • More comfortable with dogs his size or smaller • Tends to avoid very high-energy dogs • Gains confidence and emotional stability when another dog is around   Because he relies heavily on canine companionship, he would thrive in a home with another gentle, balanced dog.   Cats On walks, he watches cats with curiosity but follows his handler when redirected. A formal cat test can be arranged if needed.   Energy Level Mountain loves playing with dog friends at the yard and enjoys active outdoor time. After exercise, he settles down calmly to rest. • Finished teething • Still young, so he enjoys chewing toys and sometimes blankets • Typical playful adolescent energy balanced with a calm indoor demeanor   Walks Mountain is still building confidence outdoors. When something unfamiliar appears (approaching people, passing cars), he may stop and hesitate. • Currently in ongoing leash training • Walks well in quiet areas • Nervous on busy roads • May need patience and gentle encouragement   With consistency and a confident handler, his confidence continues to grow.   Additional Notes • No food guarding with dogs or people • No separation anxiety toward humans • May bark or cry when left completely alone without another dog • Calm in a kennel • Afraid of getting into the car and needs to be gently lifted in • Primarily eliminates outdoors, but may need a little time during walks to go   Mountain is a sensitive, affectionate survivor who blossoms with patience and canine companionship. He is looking for a calm, understanding family who will continue building his confidence and give him the stability he has never truly known.
