Story
Name: Anna Age: 3 years old Gender: Female (neutered) Weight: 10kg Brindle Jindo Mix Energy level: ❤️❤️❤️ Sociable but not overly excitable. People: ❤️️❤️❤️❤️️ I really like people, but I need some time to get to know you at first. I also get a little scared if you make loud sounds or sudden movements. Walking: ❤️❤️️❤️❤️❤️️ No pulling, and the walking speed is tailored to the person. She loves going for walks and is happy to wear a leash. Children: ❤️❤️❤️❤️+ I get along well with children due to my gentle and calm personality. Dogs: ❤️❤️❤️❤️+ I like to have some time to introduce myself to new dogs and explore each other. I usually get along well with other dogs and don't fight. Cat: was not interested Anna was a dog that lived in the countryside without a proper home. She was kept on a lease to guard the fields. However, since she was small, gentle, and did not bark, the owner wanted to abandon her in the mountains. The owner neglected her without giving her food or water. When she was found, Anna was so thin that her ribs were visible and she had lost a lot of fur. Currently, Anna is well loved, well fed, and has overcome a lot of trust issues. She is generally curious about meeting people and approaches them with her tail wagging. As she becomes more comfortable with her people, her personality starts to shine through more and becomes more playful. Anna needs some time with introductions to other dogs, but she gets along well with both large and small dogs. She adapts to the energy level of the other dog, so she gets along well with both active dogs and calm dogs. Anna rarely barks, does not have any known allergies, and is in good health. Story
Name: Milk Sex: Female Age: 1 year Weight: 12kg Breed: Jindo mix Milk was part of a litter of puppies rescued from an abandoned house in the countryside. No mother dog was found, so the puppies were taken to the shelter. She is currently staying with a foster family who says she is curious and food motivated. Like any other rescue, Milk can be sensitive to noise and loud noises, so double leashing is important when out for walks. She loves to go outdoors and is generally good on the leash once outside. She stays calm while being bathed, having her toenails cut, and having her teeth brushed. Good with People: 🥛🥛🥛🥛 + I hesitate slightly when new people approach me, but after a moment, I like to glue myself to your leg. I do tend to be more confident when approaching people who are standing still. Good with dogs: 🥛🥛🥛🥛 + Im really curious about other dogs. I like to sniff and get to know them before I start playing with them. Good with cats: 🥛🥛🥛+ I am currently living with a cat - I am really curious about it and enjoy being around him! I especially like the cat toys. Walk on leash: 🥛🥛🥛 I don't really understand what a leash is yet, so sometimes I run away when my foster mom tries to put the harness on me. But I really like walking, so Im so happy once we're outside. At the beginning of the walk, I may pull a bit as if Im scared or excited, but during the walk, I become more comfortable. When the leash is pulled, I get scared and startled. My foster mom says that I always need to be double leashed! House and Crate trained: 🥛🥛🥛🥛+ I am crate trained and potty trained!. Energy level: 🥛🥛🥛 Compared to other puppies, I am not high energy. I really like to play with tug toys- so much that sometimes I tear them apart, though! Milk is in foster home in Toronto. Story
Name: Whitney Sex: Female (Neutered) Age: 1 year Weight: 6kg Breed: Jindo Mix Google with people: 💖💖💖💖+ After the long flight from Korea, she came out of the crate right away and explored. She wagged to the foster mom right away. Good with dogs: 💖💖💖💖+ Good with cats: unknown Walk on leash: 💖💖💖💖 Walking is good when there are not many people or it is quiet. She loves sniffing, though. Crate trained: 💖💖💖💖💖 She sleeps in the crate every night and whenever the foster family leaves home. The foster mom covers the crate with a blanket to give her coziness, and this helped no barking at night. Energy level: 💖💖💖💖💖 House trained: 💖💖💖+ Whitney is a smart and cheerful dog. She is a bit skittish to strange things/ environment but quickly adapts and enjoys it. Since she does not have much experience with humans (has been a month in the foster home) and the surroundings, she is noise sensitive. Give her some time to adjust and be careful with the noises at the beginning of adoption. She was very skittish right after the rescue but showed a completely different personality in Canada. She is very cuddly and playful. She is friendly with Angie (her foster sister) and walks well with her. She LOVES cuddle and chill on the couch most of the day. Because she is only 1, she still has puppy energy. enough walking and well- training are needed. For her videos, My instagram posting 1 ! For her videos, My instagram posting 2 ! Story
** Note: Siweol is available for adoption in Vancouver. Her flight from Korea to Vancouver is scheduled for Mar 1, 2023. Last winter, Siweol was found in an old, empty house in a small village. She was in rough shape with a broken leg. Thankfully, she got surgery at a hospital and recovered well. After her rescue, Siweol spent three months in a foster home in Cheolwon before joining us last May. She was shy at first, but she soon started to feel more comfortable. Siweol now shares her room with small dogs. She's gentle, sweet, and very playful, getting along wonderfully with other dogs. She adores playing with small, gentle dogs, showing her kind and friendly nature. When she meets new people, she's a little shy to start with, but she quickly gets friendly. She's smart, loving, and likes people she knows. Siweol is great at walking on a leash and really loves her walks. She's also good in the car, handling car rides well. When it comes to baths, she's patient and waits calmly until it's over. The ideal home for Siweol would be with someone who already has a friendly dog. She enjoys playing with other dogs and feels more comfortable around them. A home in a peaceful area would be perfect for Siweol. --------------------- For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://youtu.be/lfs6YphFGcE

Story
**Note: Rover is available for adoption in Toronto. His flight from Korea to Toronto is scheduled for Mar 15. Rover and his sibling were rescued from the streets of a small village in Paju, Korea last winter. After being sent to a city pound, he was fortunately saved from being euthanized and has been living with a loving foster family ever since. Rover may be shy around new people at first, but don't let that fool you - he is actually a very sweet and affectionate dog once he has had the chance to warm up to his humans. Going on walks is one of his favorite activities, and he gets just as excited about meeting and playing with other dogs he comes across along the way. Although he may be a bit hesitant around strangers on the streets, Rover is generally a friendly and sociable pup who loves making new friends. Rover is ok with bathing, car riding, and trimming nails and so far has not shown separation anxiety.  He would thrive in a home where his new owner either works from home or is retired and resides in a tranquil and calm neighborhood. If there is already a furry sibling for him to play with, that would be the cherry on top. With proper care, affection, and patience, Rover has the potential to become an exceptionally devoted and affectionate companion to his new adopter. ------------------- For more info about the dog or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/rover/

Story
** Note: Mars is available for adoption in Toronto His flight from Korea to Toronto is scheduled for Feb 23. Mars was born to a mom who was saved from the dog meat trade just before giving birth. This strong mom had four puppies soon after being rescued, and Mars is one of them. Mars started a new life this spring at our partner's boarding house. There, he's shown how lively and fun he is. He's playful and friendly with other dogs, making him a popular pup among them. Mars completed leash training at a dog school, showcasing his eagerness to learn and adapt. His intellectual curiosity pairs harmoniously with his natural charm, making him an ideal companion for those seeking both a playful and trainable furry friend. But Mars' true magic shines when he's with people. Fearless in the face of strangers, he greets newcomers with a wagging tail and sparkling eyes, eager for the affection and head strokes he adores. His genuine warmth is a testament to his resilient spirit and his unwavering belief in the goodness of humans. Mars' ideal home is one where he can flourish, a place where companionship is a priority. If you work from home or are enjoying retirement, Mars would thrive in your company. He longs for a playmate who'll cherish his energy and exuberance, spending quality time together. Your home could be the haven he's been waiting for, where he can leave behind his past hardships and embrace a future filled with love and joy. ------------------------ For more info about the dog, or the adoption application, please follow the link below. https://www.freekoreandogs.org/dog/hwasung/
