Mufasa can be a bit conflicted when meeting new people but he has made a set of friends in the shelter who can brush him and handle him! It takes time for new people to get to this level, so he's looking for a patient and understanding adult home with low traffic where he can decompress at his own pace. Once he is comfortable, this boy can be quite the goof ball! Mufasa loves to chase small critters and finds it his duty to walk the perimeter and scan for intruding wildlife. Familiarity with the Chow Chow breed is a must for his new owners, as these dogs have unique characteristics. If you have experience with Chows and are ready to provide a calm and stable environment, Mufasa could be the loyal companion you've been looking for. If there's a resident dog, a meet-and-greet is required to ensure compatibility. Bring the whole family in to meet Mufasa and bring a leash and a martingale collar (or purchase one when you arrive), to take him home!
