Story
Hi friends Abigail the Perfect here. My foster mom also calls me Abba-daba-ding-dong and Abacadabra. I came into a local shelter after being left in an apartment and later owner surrendered after neighbors called because I was having choir practice. When I came into the shelter I was a bit shy, but very quickly warmed up to people and discovered dog friends are AMAZING. I am overall a great girl, hence being titled "the Perfect," and I have loads of energy and a few quirks as I am still learning. Most importantly my priority in life is play. It is very important to have fun, and I maximize this every day. My foster mom says I am the only dog she has seen multitask play. I can chew on stuffy and kick a wobble ball around the yard at the same time! On balls...I have massive herding skills. I am not sure where I am herding the ball, but I will go and go and go. My foster mom calls this wrecking ball time because of the gleeful chaos I cause. With other dogs, I was initially really sensitive and would squeal when touched during play. That has changed and now I could play and wrestle all day. I am a bit relentless in encouraging friends to play and fully feel every dog will be my friend, if I just try hard enough. As a result I will go best with a doggie friend that has a similar attitude on play, or my doggie friend might not appreciate me as much as they should. I love wrestling and can be mouthy in my play. You know how I love toys? I also am ok with sharing my toys (my foster mom says that this should be slowly introduced in a new home). My biggest quirk is I have a passion for chewing through leashes and harnesses. I am working on it, but I am not a tie out kind of gal, because I can free myself with great ease. A fenced in yard is the ideal fit. I LOVE car rides and adventures. I have shopped at several store and had a grand time. I do occasionally attempt to shoplift because I do not understand money, so that needs to be watched. I don't want to end up in jail. I am house broken and crate trained. In my crate I do have choir practice now and then, so shared walls might not be the best fit. On training, I know sit, shake and down. On leash, I can pull and do best with a harness. My ideal home is looking for a playful, social, energetic dog. I would love another friendly dog companion but that is not needed. If someone is interested in dog sports we might have a really good time trying together. I am pretty much a go anywhere dog. When I am bored I can get a bit playfully mouthy and I do not always watch where I am going so older kids might be a better fit. I am in my canine adolescence and still learning. I generally have good house manners, but sometimes need reminders that shoes aren't toys (shoplifting). When my foster mom is doing chores I am always willing to lend a helping paw by following her around and offering my assistance and inspection services. If I sound like a match, please fill out and application so my foster human can talk to you!

Story
*This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Meet Coco, a little senior sweetheart with a big love for attention. Coco is the smaller half of this adorable bonded pair, and he wants nothing more than to be right by your side — or better yet, in your lap giving kisses. He is affectionate, snuggly, and happiest when he’s close to his people. Coco has a relaxed daily routine and enjoys several short walks a day. After a potty break, breakfast, and a walk, he’s usually ready to curl up in a soft bed or relax in his kennel with Cooper nearby. He’s not too interested in toys, but he does have the cutest habit of “digging” himself the perfect little spot before collapsing into a deep, cozy nap. Coco is crate trained, potty trained, leash trained, and knows simple commands. He does bark at other dogs at first, but he’s been improving with treats and just needs a little time to sniff and settle. Coco is wonderful with people and loves being touched, petted, and included. Coco and Cooper are truly bonded and must be adopted together. These sweet senior boys are low-key, loving companions who still enjoy getting outside for walks and fresh air. They are ready to bring double the snuggles, double the smiles, and double the love to their forever home. ---- Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and recommendations to keep your Senior dog in top shape.

Story
Hi, I’m Nachito! 🐾 I might be a pint-sized pup, but I have a huge personality and a whole lot of feisty spirit! I’m super playful, incredibly friendly, and totally convinced I can conquer the world (or at least the living room). Even though I'm very small, I love to roughhouse, and I always seem to win! My Daily Routine & Puppy Power - If you're looking for a sleepy couch potato, that's definitely not me just yet. I have tons of puppy energy! Toy Collector: My absolute favorite daily activity is running back and forth, grabbing every toy I can find until I've successfully built a massive pile of treasure. The Couch Chronicle: I am currently almost too small to actually get onto the couch. Does that stop me? Absolutely not. I try repeatedly, and when I inevitably fall off backwards, I just shake it off and try again. My foster parents think it's hilarious because I am completely unbothered by my gravity checks. Playtime Style: I love to wrestle and chase! If there's another pup around, we will chase each other all over the place. I like to let out these little play growls that sound super "vicious," but it's all in good fun—it just looks adorable coming from a guy my size. How I Show My Love - I am a total ham when it comes to affection. When I want your attention, I will leap right up onto you and lick your entire face, maybe offering a few sweet puppy nibbles to show you I care. Because I'm a young guy with places to go and toys to move, "relaxing" isn't really my thing yet. However, there is a secret trick: if you hold me like a baby, I will finally stay still and melt into your arms for some quiet cuddle time. Making Friends With People: I am super friendly and absolutely adore visitors. Bring on the crowd, because I love being the center of attention! With Other Dogs: I can be a little nervous at first around new dogs. My go-to move is to lay down and act a bit hesitant. But don't worry, it doesn't take me long at all to warm up, and once I do, I’m instantly ready to play. My "Home Skills" - I’m still a young pup, so I’m a work in progress, but I’m a fast learner! The Crate: I do pretty well spending time in my crate and settling down. Commands: I’ve already started learning how to "come" when you call my name! Potty Training: I’m still working on mastering this, so I will need a patient family who can keep me on a good routine. The Big Takeaway: I am a silly, joyful little guy who will keep you laughing every single day with my antics. If you're ready for big energy and endless love in a small package, I'm your boy! ---- *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue.
