Story
We're looking to find a loving home for our dog, Rue. She’s a sweet, cuddly girl who loves to be around people. She’s well-trained and house-trained, but she needs a patient owner who is willing to continue her training. Rue would be happiest as the only pet in the home. We love Rue dearly, but due to a new baby alongside an already demanding schedule, we can no longer care for her. We’re hoping to find a family who will give her the love and attention she deserves. If you think you might be a good fit for Rue, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Thank you, The Williams

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Abel. He is a wonderful dog who is completely house trained, knows many commands (including play dead!), and has great recall. He loves having a job, especially chasing geese off our grass area and sending them into our pond, then returning to us with a sense of accomplishment. Abel is a protector during deliveries and is sweet with his foster parents. He loves cuddling and is generous with his hugs, burying his head in our laps. He loves to please his humans. Abel plays with his rope like a fiend and loves chasing balls, frisbee, sticks, and toys. Abel does best with proper and slow introductions and people who are secure around dogs. He enjoys playing fetch with a small female lab and gets along well with smaller female dogs, given proper introductions. We are also working on his leash reactivity during walks. While Abel is generally friendly, he has shown some discomfort around children and in certain situations. He is not fond of being poked or picked at so would suggest kids be a no for Abel. With that being said, visits to the vet might be a challenge so patience, kindness and time will be needed to make Abel comfortable. Abel loves being petted, receiving belly rubs, and is fine with baths and brushing. His previous owner mentioned he is okay with having his nails clipped, although I haven't tried that myself. Abel is a great dog who thrives with understanding and patient care.   Abel does take an oral medication twice a day to help prevent seizures.    Abel is from an owner surrender. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi!  My name is Peach and I am settling in nicely after being with my foster family for a few weeks.  I was scared of everyone to begin with, but have realized these people are going to be nice to me so now I have started to really come out of my shell and let my personality shine!  I am still very scared when I meet new people, especially men, so I need time to feel comfortable and safe with new faces. I will bark and growl at first but this is because I'm so scared and I want to make sure new people understand I need my space.   I don't like being left alone, so a house with someone home most of the time would be best for me. My nose was a bit raw from rubbing it on the door of my kennel but it is nearly healed since I don't go in a crate much any more. I have been known to find things on the counter and believe that finders are keepers so I would suggest for everyone's sake that temptation is kept to a minimum.    I also REALLY like playing with the dog that lives here - he is showing me how to trust people, to sit for treats, to walk nicely on a leash and be part of a family.  A house with a dog would help to keep me busy and tire me out as I still have some puppy energy even though I am 1.5 years old.  When he is not willing to play, I can amuse myself with a toy - tennis balls are the BEST!   And the best place to sleep is close to the humans - in the same room for sure but next to you in bed is really where I want to be.  I will snuggle up and snore quietly once I trust you.     I haven't had any accidents in the house since I got here. I like to spend some time outside in the yard with my family and get to go for 3-4 walks every day to practice my leash manners, and build up my confidence when I see new people.   Peach was found as a stray. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi, I'm Poe.   I came from a local shelter where my time was up and needed a rescue. I came from a home that took me to the dog park so I could hang out with my friends.  I am good with kids and other animals as well.  What my foster mom didn't expect was how loyal and lovable I am.  I follow her from room to room and sit by her side.  Foster mom has some crabby senior dogs and a few young dogs living with her.  The older dogs don't care for me much but that's okay.  I give them a grin and go on my way and then play with the two dogs closer to my age. I share toys and I am not possessive of my food.  I do love snacks and treats though!  I am a big boy with a lot of energy so having a buddy to run with or another dog to play with would be greatly appreciated.  I don't like being in the crate and do the cutest sad boy howl but will accept my time in there with a kong treat filled with peanut butter and treats.  I come when I am called and know how to sit, shake and lay down.  At night I sleep in foster mom's room with the other dogs and stay on my dog bed, not making a peep, until morning.  I am a diamond according to my foster mom.  She thinks my heart shows through my fur and is already in love with me.  I am a catch!   E.A.
