After just five days in foster care, Hunter is settling in beautifully and showing what a good boy he’s becoming. He enjoys going on walks with his foster sibling Bailey and does great heading into the fenced yard for potty breaks. Hunter is sleeping quietly through the night in his kennel and has a healthy appetite—always a good sign that he’s feeling more comfortable. Each day, he’s learning to trust his people a little more, and it’s wonderful to see his confidence slowly grow. Hunter is a gentle soul who’s adjusting at his own pace and appreciating the safety and routine of foster life.  Hunter does need to be adopted into a home with another dog present. Age: Estimated DOB 8/4/24 Weight: 13 lbs Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Unknown/not tested Kid friendly: Unknown/not tested Potty trained: Yes Crate trained: Yes **NEEDS A FENCED YARD AND ANOTHER DOG IN THE HOME** Meet Enzo! Enzo is an affectionate, gentle little poodle who truly shines once he feels safe and settled. He loves his people and enjoys being close, but he can startle easily—sudden noises can catch him off guard. Because of this, Enzo will do best with a patient adopter who understands shy or sensitive dogs and is willing to help him continue building confidence. Enzo gets along very well with other dogs and has lovely manners. He needs a home with another friendly dog to help show him the ropes and give him reassurance. He’s not high energy and is content with a calm, predictable routine. He is a good eater, sleeps nicely in his kennel, and kennels well when his foster runs errands for a couple of hours. Enzo is also a good little car rider. He walks well on leash and his recall is coming along—he’s learning and picks things up fairly quickly. Enzo is a great little guy who just needs the right home—one that’s patient, understanding, and willing to work with him as he continues to grow in confidence. Adoption Fee: $695

Story
Ms. Coco is a breeder release that is loving the home life and all the wonderful things it has to offer. Coco is 10 lbs of pure silly poodle. She is coming out of her shell and discovering all things good, like couches, tennis balls, and loving touches from humans. She did have all BUT 5 teeth pulled but that doesn't stop her from eating crunchy food or chewing on doggie toys. She has a cataract in one of her eyes but that isn't any issue for her, she sees all the leaves outside and chases them when they blow in the wind (like I said she's silly!) Coco is fine with cats and really would prefer another dog in the house to show her the routine, however, the more I spend time with her, I realize that if she were an only dog she would be ok as long as her human was near so she can check in on them. Coco with going potty is rather easy, if she hops off the couch, she should probably go out to potty. Really that is her cue, just getting off the couch, she really loves the couch that much,  I can only assume it's because it is way better than the kennel she spent all of her 8 yrs in before coming into rescue. Coco is very sweet; however, she is shy until she gets comfortable with a new person but that is typical of dogs in new places and new people. Coco loves chin scratches and head rubs and will almost climb in your lap if you start, so be prepared that if you start, you may never be able to stop because she loves it that much. Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, Alter, Prepaid microchip, Dewormed, dental, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate), Distemper combo vaccine(s) appropriate to age, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX (over 6 months of age), Flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee:  $450.00 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 5, 2026, 3:19 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. //   Find our applications at www.midwestanimalrescue.orgAdoption Fee: $475 plus taxWoody should be the 'poster boy' for snuggler!! He loves to be close, either lying across is Foster's lap or lounging right next to her. He may be 9 years old but in so many ways, he acts like a puppy!  Woody doesn't care much for toys but he DOES love treats! He gets along fine with his 2 temporary siblings as well as the resident cat.  He has quickly acquiesced to the routines of the house, going outside immediately upon rising, followed by breakfast.  He has the run of the house and curls up on top of the bed at night, along with his whole temporary family.  He needs raised food and water bowls to allow him to eat and drink without difficulty. He has been diagnosed with collapsing trachea which only presents when he gets overly excited (like a little kid before Christmas! When he's really happy) With the cold weather we haven't been walking on a leash,  but it should be noted that when on a leash, he must use a harness rather than a collar which could strain against his throat.  Surprisingly, he doesn't seem to mind the cold,  but he doesn't dawdle getting his 'business' done outside. If he's  in the house and needs to go potty, he will definitely let you know.   Woody is definitely not a barker...not even if his siblings are barking at noises, so he should have no problem living in an apartment or other common-wall residences. This little guy is just waiting for someone to take him home and make him a member of your family. If you have previously applied with us please email placement@midwestanimalrescue.org to reactivate your application with new interest. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. We accept Credit cards, Debit cards as well as cash. At this time we do not accept checks. Adoption Fees are Non Negotialble. All fees are subject to MN sales tax and a processing fee at the time of adoption. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  or    When you adopt a pet from Midwest Animal Rescue and Services, your adoption fee covers: Microchip and registration, Core Vaccines including Rabies, Distemper and bordetella, age appropriate heartworm testing or FeLV-FIV testing, sterilization, heartworm/flea-tick prevention and deworming while in foster care.  Long Distance Adoptions: Animals who are not fully vaccinated and altered are not eligible for long distance adoption. We require a meet of the pet prior to adoption, which means coming to MARS.  We do not transport to potential adopters. How to learn more about a pet: Complete the application (click on the button above) to start our process for adopting or fostering a MARS Pet. Adoption fees are non-negotiable and can be paid by cashier's check, money order or credit card. We do not accept personal checks. Post Adoption: Any issues that arise after adoption are the full responsibility of the adopter after the finalization of adoption. We highly recommend Pet Insurance.  Adoption fees are only part of the expense of owning a pet, so we ask you to consider the costs for the life of the pet before adoption. We recommend pet insurance. Pet Breeds: The pet you are viewing is a rescued pet which is most often from an animal control facility or Shelter partner. The breed(s) listed are our best guess and are in no way guaranteed. If you choose to DNA test your adopted pet, test results may vary from company to company and our breed guess may not be reflected in those results as it is just that, our best guess without knowing a pet’s full history. //

Currently seeking a foster or forever home Poodlix | Neutered Male | ~1 year old | 8 lbsTurnip is a sweet, affectionate pup who’s all about his favorite human — if you’re looking for a loyal shadow, Turnip is your guy! He bonds closely with one person and becomes anxious when separated, so he’d do best with someone who's home most of the day or can include him in daily activities. Ideal Home:A calm household where he can be the center of attentionPreferably an only dog or with a very low-energy dog. Someone home more often than not (remote worker, retiree, etc. ) Patient, understanding adopter willing to continue potty training and build his confidence Social & Playful:Gets along well with other dogs and cats. Can be a little possessive over toys or treats with other dogs, but has never bitten. Enjoys dog parks and meeting new people Loves cuddling, following his person around, and even watching TV!  Health: Had FHO surgery on his rear left leg; occasional limping or hopping is normal and expected — he's not in pain Requires regular grooming to prevent matting  Other Notes: Sleeps well overnight in his crate Crating for long hours during the day is not ideal — he needs companionship  Learning “sit” and has pretty good recall Eats better when someone keeps him company Can be barky at times (including barking at the TV!) Turnip is a loving, quirky little companion who would thrive in a calm, caring home where he gets the attention and reassurance he craves. This is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about our adoption process, please visit our Adoption Process page on our website at www.rescuecrew.org.  High-class gentleman with luxury standards Gadget is not just a dog — he is a lifestyle. A refined, slightly bougie young man who expects the finer things: plush beds, warm laps, soft blankets, and unwavering devotion. After a previous hip surgery, Gadget believes comfort isn’t a want… it’s a human responsibility. And frankly? He’s right. His ideal crowd? Seniors. Yes, seniors. He adores the “old people smell,” leisurely schedules, and that glorious retirement time where the attention is unlimited and snacks appear magically. Widowed and looking for your next great love? Bachelor hoping to impress the ladies with your emotionally available lap dog? Older gal who enjoys lounging with a premium lap warmer? Congratulations — Gadget has been waiting for you. He’s got manners too. Gadget knows sit, come, and lay down, is house trained, and only asks for more frequent potty breaks because… well… tiny bladder, big personality. No judgment here. A fenced yard is preferred — not because he’s naughty, but because the world is fascinating and there’s simply too much to sniff, observe, and maybe taste. He enjoys light activity: zooming around the yard or a casual twice-daily walk is plenty. He’s more of a “Netflix and nap” kind of guy. Speaking of lounging — Gadget’s happy place is snuggled on the couch watching TV. If you’re binge-watching, he’s binge-snuggling.  Important Notices: • Sweaters are NON-NEGOTIABLE. He is a fashionable little boogie  • Hip supplements are REQUIRED — because his health matters and he expects you to take that seriously • Cold laps will not be tolerated So… Can you offer warmth, snacks, soft blankets, and unconditional love? Can you meet the standards of a dog who knows his worth? Gadget isn’t just looking for a home — he’s looking for his soulmate. And once he finds you? You’ll never sit alone again.  Age and breed are based on veterinarian and intake professional’s recommendation and not guaranteed as a rescue animal’s history is often unknown. All companion animals adopted by The Rescue Crew are spayed/neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccinations, tested for FIV/FeLK (cats) or heartworm (dogs), microchipped, dewormed and provided with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives prior to adoption.   The Rescue Crew is a foster based rescue organization, meaning all of our adoptable pets are located in homes throughout Minnesota.
