Story
Meet miss Penny! This sweet girl was transferred to PCHS from a valued rescue partner. She was originally found as a stray around a busy apartment complex. Unfortunately, no one ever came looking for her. Penny is estimated to be a beagle/lab mix and roughly 5 years old. She is on the medium side and is under 50 pounds. Penny is an easy girl who adjusts well to new situations and environments. She is very `go with the flow` if you will. She enjoys spending time with people, going on walks, and having tasty snacks. She also loves to sing the song of her people and does the traditional beagle `awhoos`. Penny would do well in just about any home. She is hoping her time here can be short and have a home for the holidays! Could that be you? If you think so, apply online today!Adoption fee is $350 + $30 microchip fee + tax

Story
Hello, my name is Rusty. I’m a breeder release and life is still pretty new and a little overwhelming for me, but with time and kindness, I’m learning what it means to feel safe and loved. I’m shy around people because I didn’t get much socialization early in life. But don’t worry—once I warm up, I become shyly playful, especially with my foster mom. I’m still figuring out this whole “being loved” thing, and patient humans make all the difference. I live with cats and dogs. I can be a little picky with my playmates. I prefer female dogs. My potty training is still a work in progress, but I’m trying my best every day. I am not currently leash trained but working on it. I have not pottied on a leash. Best in a fenced yard. Kids may be too much for me as fast movements scare me. So no kids please. If you’re patient, gentle, and have a sweet dog who wouldn’t mind a soft-hearted sidekick, I might just choose you as my special person. 📨 Apply to adopt at: www.campcompanion.org 💲 Adoption fee: $350 plus tax

Story
With his big, soulful puppy dog eyes, Rick is impossible not to fall for. He has all the charm and sweetness you could ever want in a companion. When he is happy, his ears perk into little “heart ears,” as his foster mom lovingly calls them. He even has a “lucky paw,” just like Nemo’s fin. Rick is one of the absolute sweetest companions you could ask for. He is deeply bonded to his foster mom and dad, always waiting by the door for them to come home and following them everywhere. His biggest goal in life is simply to make his people happy. Because of past trauma from being kenneled, Rick does best when left out during the day. He mostly naps, but anything tempting to chew such as straws, remotes, or glasses should be kept out of reach. Rick can be nervous with new people and needs slow introductions to visitors. He is improving with the resident cats but still gets the occasional urge to chase, so dog savvy cats are best. He enjoys playing with dogs he knows and trusts, and his gentle, easygoing nature shines through once he feels comfortable. Because fast movements and unpredictability can make him anxious, Rick needs a home without small children. Rick is ready to bring love, loyalty, and plenty of cozy moments to his forever family. Whoever adopts him is one lucky human. Adoption fee is $350+tax, please apply at www.campcompanion.org .
