Hello! My name is Arlo! I am a 6-year-old male labradoodle, and I’m looking for a loving home. I am microchipped, neutered and current on all vaccines. I am well trained, and know all the basic commands. I sit by the door when I need to go potty. I’m pretty much a couch potato, but would love to go for a walk! I do tend to pull on my leash when walking, I’m so excited by all the smells, but I am a quick learner and with more practice I will improve. I do have a sensitive stomach, and occasionally have to eat chicken and rice for a few days until my tummy settles down. I eat Purina One dog chow. I have had two small seizures in the fall of 2025. My vet says that is not uncommon for a doodle. They don’t seem to affect me in anyway and I’m back up and running around in just a few minutes. I’m on no medications at this time. I have a Seresto flea and tick collar. I’ve never had a flea, a tick or heartworms. I’m great with kids and other dogs.

Thanks to a grant from the Petfinder Foundation, my adoption fee is 75% off. So I'm only $50 to adopt. Hi, I'm Honeybee! I'm a 6 year old Lab/Beagle mix at just the right size. I'm a sweet girl and ready to be your new best friend. I get along great with other animals and am even potty-trained. I'm in a foster home right now. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have an appointment scheduled, so the appointment is important to make sure I will be available to meet you when you come. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, but also makes transports to the Denver, CO, Des Moines, IA and St. Louis areas twice monthly. For potential adopters in those areas, we can do a virtual visit using FaceTime or another app. Just request an appointment using the same link, but note that you want the visit to be virtual. We will call you at the time of the visit once it is confirmed. For long distance transports to Colorado and Iowa, there is an additional $100 fee to cover the cost of the transport ($65) and a health certificate from a veterinarian ($35). For transports to St. Louis, the additional fee is $50 to help cover gas. Going that last mile home for our sweet pets! Hi there! I'm Cheech and I am a 4 year old Lab/Bully mix. I was at the city pound for almost a whole year with no luck at finding my forever home. I was brought to PCHS in hopes of getting a better chance of being adopted. I'm a sweet boy and just need someone to teach me some manners. I'm highly food and treat motivated and have already got sit down pat, so I'm excited to know of all the other things I can learn! I seem to do okay with other dogs but would need a proper introduction to be safe. Cats on the other hand seem a little too interesting so I'd be best to go to a home without kitty friends. I do good with children too! I'm not sure if I am housetrained, but I am used to a doggy door and do great with that so I'm sure once I get a set potty-schedule in a home I'll do just fine.
