Story
Olaf is an extremely smart and loyal Labradoodle, born July 2021.  Olaf dreams of being the center of attention.  He is great at wedging himself in between people or when interacting with other pets.  He is friendly with other dogs, strangers and kids of all ages.  He prefers women and would love to have another dog or cat around. Olaf would rather have his people home all the time because he doesn't like to be left alone.  He is kennel trained, but barks when crated.  He's been known to be a little destructive when left alone.  He is active and needs a fenced yard to run and play.  Olaf knows some commands and is leash trained.  He's a ball of energy when on the leash and out walking, so he'll need someone confident to walk him.  He might nip a little when he gets excited, but he's trained to go find a toy instead when redirected.  He's such a fun guy and is going to be a great addition to any family! The suggested adoption donation for Olaf is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training).  Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals. In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note:  A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time, owners find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases) during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Charlie is very energetic dog who loves people. He sometimes forgets how big he is and can be a little clumsy. He has had basic training and excels at sitting, staying, shake, and spins. Walks well with a no pull harness however fetch is not his choice of playtime. He’s done well with children around toddler age and above, we just think he needs more attention

Story
We got our dog from the NE Humane Society when he was a puppy. He has no behavior issues other than being a little anxious around certain smells (mainly the oven being on). Other than that he is good dog. No health issues either. We are looking to rehome him because we have three young kids and another on the way. We dont have enough time to give him the care and play he deserves. He loves walks and playing fetch and has really good manners (will drop the ball when asked).

Story
Chip is as stunning as they come! At 10 months old and 42 pounds, this handsome boy is the perfect mix of playful, curious, and sweet. Chip's story started out a little rough. He and his littermates were dumped on the front lawn of a shelter worker when they were just tiny puppies. They all ended up in the shelter's outdoor pen, where one by one, his brothers and sisters found homes or rescues over the last 8 months. Now it's FINALLY Chip's turn for his happy ever after! Chip has a gentle soul. He's both crate trained and housebroken now, and he's learning more about how to enjoy pet life every day. He can be a bit of a nervous nelly at first, especially around children, so he's looking for a calmer home while he finishes adjusting to the good life. Chip loves other dogs and enjoys having a buddy around, he likes going for walks, chewing on bones and toys, and cuddling once he knows you. He’s even good with cats! Chip is intelligent and active. He’s learning to trust humans more and more everyday. Chip would thrive in a patient, loving home that understands shy dogs and giving him time to open up. Once he does, you'll see just how special he truly is… a loyal, goofy, and loving companion who's been waiting so long for his person.  Chip is neutered, fully vetted and vaccinated, microchipped, and ready to meet you. His adoption donation is $375. Please apply directly on our website in the dropdown menu at https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! November 25, 2025, 7:07 pm
