Story
Harrison is a wonderful family dog. He is a 7 year old purebred labradoodle. He loves children and basically any person he meets. He is just a kind and gentle soul. An increased work schedule has left us very little time to spend with him and he unfortunately has been alone a lot lately. We want the very best for him and he deserves a family who has time to play with him and take him for walks, he is very energetic. He is potty and crate trained and knows basic commands. Story
Liesel is a sweet girl with loads of energy. She likes walks, but needs a fenced yard to run and fetch as well. She is dog reactive and when she came to us we were told she does not like other dogs, but that isn't true. She is just dog selective and has spent time with six different dogs while in our care and has done very well. Introducing the dogs in a proper manner is crucial to successfully getting Liesel to accept a new canine friend. She gets very excited when you first come home or greet her and will tend to jump to say HI, but once things get calm, she calms down as well. She has had some training sessions with 3 different trainers and knows some commands. Liesel has calmed down slightly since coming to us, but she will always be a bit high strung and her adopter must understand and accept that. it is just part of who she is. Liesel loves people, both children and adults, and just needs someone to love her for the dog she is. She wants to please and will be loyal and loving forever, if given the chance..

Meet Sweet Pea! Sweet Pea was recently surrendered to us with her sister when their owner could no longer care for them. Sweet Pea is a sweet natured, sensitive soul hoping to find her perfect furever family. Sweet Pea has previously spent her life as an outside dog, so she is looking for a patient family that will help her learn the ropes of household life. She is still a young pup, so training and structure will go a long way to teach her potty training and general household manners. She is a nervous girl in the chaotic shelter environment, so she would benefit from positive reinforcement based training and socialization to help boost her confidence. Sweet Pea previously lived with other dogs. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Sweet Pea home. Doodad came in with his brother, Thingy. Both pups arrived feeling shut down and scared to interact with anyone. We gave them time to settle in and decompress. Doodad is a sweet and energetic guy, and he has been quickly picking up tricks with plenty of treats and encouragement! He has been working hard on learning to walk on a leash and has shown great progress. We are continuing positive reinforcement training to help him develop the confidence and manners he needs to become a wonderful adult dog. Patience is key! While Doodad has performed well during dog evaluations at the shelter, we always recommend bringing any resident pets in for a meet and greet before adopting him.
