Story
Sadie is a great dog, who we recued from the Franklin County shelter in 2018. She is 8.5 years old, never had any medical issues, up to date on shots, spayed, and an all around great dog. She lives with another lab and 2 small children, who she gets along with great. Sadie has no special needs and is potty trained very well. She hasn't had an accident in the house in years. Sadie loves to be outside and run more than anything. She will run at the dog park for over an hour- even at 8 years old! We moved to a house without a fence and have been very busy (too busy to take her on regular walks) which has been hard on her. Since she hasn't been able to run much, she has slipped past us a few times out the door and ran away- usually chasing a rabbit or bird. As hard as it is, we think Sadie would benefit if we found a home for her with a fence and an active family who has time to walk her more. We aren't looking to get rid of her, just opening up an opportunity for a better life.

Papaya is one of our longer residents now, and unfortunately has been adopted and returned because she was just not the right fit for her previous families. Papaya needs a home without cats or other small animals. She is a very playful girl, she would love an active family that will take her adventuring and keep her active! Papaya's happy place is anywhere with water, she loves to play in the kiddie pools. She is potty trained and knows sit, shake, and down! Papaya has done well with children in the shelter but would do best in a home with older, respectful children. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Meet Cambria!     Cambria  is a very sweet, beautiful girl with very cool coloring and markings!  She loves squeaky toys and high-quality chew toys. She loves to cuddle next to you after she is done running around getting her energy out! She is a very active girl and will need plenty of exercise to meet her needs. She will need a little variety of toys to keep her busy and entertained.   We are guessing she is a boxer, lab, hound mix and our best guess is she will grow up to be a medium sized girl. Her mother was found as a stray and had eight puppies! They were all very lucky to get into rescue to all live their best lives now.   She is doing well with crate training and will sleep throughout the night. She is doing very well with potty training but will need a family with patience and consistency to continue her training. I am using the bell training method, and it is going well, but will need to be reinforced continuously with treats and positive reinforcement.   &#226&#128&#168She is an active girl and will need a lot of exercise, walks and park time. She will be the perfect adventure girl! She would love hiking and park time with her new family. She has already been to All Paws Doggie Daycare and The Wag and is a very social girl. She is AMAZING with any dog she meets!   She will need continued socializing and play time with other pups! She would LOVE doggie daycare to get structured play and play time. She does well with cats and is fostered with cats and kittens.   She is a VERY smart girl, and we HIGHLY encourage obedience/behavior training for all of our pups once adopted into their forever homes. He gets along with cats and is currently in our DASH Prison Program learning his basic commands, crate training, potty training and walking on a leash. He seems to be doing fantastic with all of those things, and his new family will need to continue with those as he transitions to his new forever home. He has not been kid tested, but with his mix of lab and chihuahua, we feel like he would be a great addition to a family. However, he can be touch sensitive at times so younger children would not be preferred. He would also do very well with an active senior or single person looking for an adventurous snuggle bug. Pluto is protective of his food and toys, but only with other dogs. His trainer says he is very loving and receptive to encouragement.
