Story
Meet Urban, the ultimate companion dog. He’s a sweet, snuggly, 7-year-old labradoodle with a gentle demeanor and the cutest little underbite. He loves looking out the window, keeping watch, and curling up next to his people. Urban is healthy overall, with only the occasional ear infection. He’s been an incredible part of our family, and rehoming him is heartbreaking. We’re unexpectedly expecting our third child, and with one of us home full-time with the kids and dogs, it’s become more than we can fairly manage. He deserves more time and attention than we can give, and we want him to have the best life. Urban is house-trained, great indoors, and loves affection. He’s up to date on vaccines and neutered. Urban would thrive in a loving home where he can be your shadow and snuggle buddy.

Story
He is the best dog ever and it pains me to rehome him but he cannot be in a house with cats. He’s so gentle with kids and smaller dogs probably not under 15 lbs though just because of his size and he’s a little floppy because he’s a doodle. I am willing to have him neutered or pay to have him neutered.

Story
Liesel is a sweet girl with loads of energy. She likes walks, but needs a fenced yard to run and fetch as well. She is dog reactive and when she came to us we were told she does not like other dogs, but that isn't true. She is just dog selective and has spent time with six different dogs while in our care and has done very well. Introducing the dogs in a proper manner is crucial to successfully getting Liesel to accept a new canine friend. She gets very excited when you first come home or greet her and will tend to jump to say HI, but once things get calm, she calms down as well. She has had some training sessions with 3 different trainers and knows some commands. Liesel has calmed down slightly since coming to us, but she will always be a bit high strung and her adopter must understand and accept that. it is just part of who she is. Liesel loves people, both children and adults, and just needs someone to love her for the dog she is. She wants to please and will be loyal and loving forever, if given the chance..

Name: Kanga Male or female? Female Approximate Age: 1 year old Breed: Labrador Retriever Weight: 35lbs Any impairments: Blind, Medication Controlled Seizures Potty trained? Mostly Crate trained? Yes Good with other dogs? Yes Good with cats? Yes Good with kids? With close monitoring Commands known: None, Comes to name when called Needs fenced in yard? Yes Need another dog in the home? Yes! Playmate required Location: Delaware/Columbus, OH Energy level (high/med/low)? High Bio: My name is Kanga and I'm SO EXCITED to meet you! I'm a gorgeous, spunky chocolate lab puppy who is looking for a family to call mine and who will love me forever and ever. My journey for a family started when I was purchased from a breeder at 8 weeks old and then returned the same day when they realized I was blind and had a seizure. The breeder then brought me to a vet office to be euthanized! Well luckily they were super nice and one of the techs said 'no way!' and took me in for a few months to get me healthy and then they reached out to Speak who was happy to take me in. Speak got me tons of specialized test and vet care where I was diagnosed with congenital optic nerve hypoplasia. In normal people words that means I was born blind and unfortunately there's no treatment for this but I've never known any different and this condition should never cause me any additional problems in the future. I also saw a neurologist who has me on daily medications to help control my seizures. I now live with two cats and two dogs and do very well with everyone. I'm a young, silly girl and so I run into things a lot including my foster siblings but I always respond immediately when they "politely" ask that I not step on their tails. I don't bother our kitties; since I can't see them I'm not even sure if I know they're there. I'm blind so I march really cutely when I walk to 'map' the area. I have a habit of chewing on things due to being blind I sometimes have a hard time telling the difference between chew things and non-chew things. I love to meet people and am the most friendly little pup you've ever met but because of my mouth-for-eyes I probably wouldn't do well with a family with young children. I would do best with a family who is home frequently to keep an eye on me and keep my puppy brain entertained. I would love some very tolerant, playful fur friends to help guide and teach me things. I do well in my crate and love to run circles or play with toys in the back yard. I'm working on leash walking but am doing well on a harness. Like any good Labrador, I LOVE FOOD and food puzzle toys (Kongs, snuffle mats, wobble balls). If you're looking for an amazing, jumping, hilarious, special little pup I'm your girl! I promise to make you smile every day and love you forever. ##1360954##
