Story
Harrison is a wonderful family dog. He is a 7 year old purebred labradoodle. He loves children and basically any person he meets. He is just a kind and gentle soul. An increased work schedule has left us very little time to spend with him and he unfortunately has been alone a lot lately. We want the very best for him and he deserves a family who has time to play with him and take him for walks, he is very energetic. He is potty and crate trained and knows basic commands. Please forward any questions.

Story
Liesel is a sweet girl with loads of energy. She likes walks, but needs a fenced yard to run and fetch as well. She is dog reactive and when she came to us we were told she does not like other dogs, but that isn't true. She is just dog selective and has spent time with six different dogs while in our care and has done very well. Introducing the dogs in a proper manner is crucial to successfully getting Liesel to accept a new canine friend. She gets very excited when you first come home or greet her and will tend to jump to say HI, but once things get calm, she calms down as well. She has had some training sessions with 3 different trainers and knows some commands. Liesel has calmed down slightly since coming to us, but she will always be a bit high strung and her adopter must understand and accept that. it is just part of who she is. Liesel loves people, both children and adults, and just needs someone to love her for the dog she is. She wants to please and will be loyal and loving forever, if given the chance..

Story
Ranger is a loving, energetic dog who brings lots of joy and personality wherever he goes. He loves to play, cuddle, and spend time with his people. He gets along well with other dogs and would do great either as a solo pet soaking up all the attention or with another canine companion to play with. We are looking to rehome Ranger because our family recently added livestock to our mini farm, and unfortunately he does not do well around goats, chickens, or large open acreage. Ranger would thrive much more in a home with a fenced-in backyard where he can safely run, play, and relax. He is a sweet boy with a big heart and lots of love to give, and we want to find him a home where he can truly be successful and happy.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Dexter If you are looking for a dog with a huge personality, endless entertainment value, and a whole lot of love to give, Dexter may just be your perfect match! Dexter is a playful, energetic little guy who absolutely loves life. Whether he is racing around the backyard doing zoomies, playing with his dog friends, or proudly sneaking a sock out of the laundry basket, he keeps everyone around him laughing. He is smart, curious, and full of quirky charm — including the adorable head tilt he gives when you talk to him like he understands every word. While Dexter has plenty of energy and would thrive in an active home, he also has a sweet snuggly side. At the end of the day, he is happiest curled up with his people, especially if he can burrow under the covers for bedtime cuddles. Dexter would do best in a home with a securely fenced yard or an adopter committed to giving him plenty of exercise through walks, runs, and playtime. He absolutely loves other playful dogs and really enjoys having canine companions to romp around with. He also enjoys people of all ages and has done well with older children. Because he is still learning some manners and can get excited, a home with very young children may need a little extra supervision and continued training. He does well when kept on a schedule and is continuing to learn appropriate toys versus “treasures” he finds around the house. Dexter is eager to please, very smart, and does wonderfully for grooming. With continued structure and basic training, he is going to make an incredible companion. Dexter is looking for a family that will embrace his fun-loving spirit, keep him active, and include him as part of the family. In return, he promises plenty of laughs, endless affection, and a best friend who will keep life exciting. Dexter’s adoption donation is $575. He is fostered in Central Ohio and is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and current on heartworm and flea prevention.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.PLEASE NOTE:   If you are viewing this biography on a website other than the Ohio Fuzzy Pawz website like Petfinder, Adopt-a-Pet, or another search engine (the OFP website is www.ohiofuzzypawz.com), not all information transfers to partner websites in some instances.  If you go to the  individual webpage of our dogs , you will be able to get more information each dog. Visual breed identification in dogs can be unreliable so, in many cases, we are only guessing at the predominant breed or breed mix.  We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. Our Adoption Process The adoption process has several steps involved. Please review prior to submitting an application. Our adoption process is detailed here:  http://www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/info/adoption Our volunteers work very diligently to process each application and we try to ensure that we are making the best match possible for each dog.  We do not schedule meetings with dogs until an application has been approved.  It can take up to a few weeks to process an application or as little time as a few days, from the time you submit an application, please be prepared to adopt as we cannot hold dogs. Special Requirements Some dogs may have special requirements (for example, medications, a fence) -- if you apply for a dog, please be sure to read over the biography completely to see if there are any special needs and if you're home would be suitable.  If we indicate on the dog's biography that a fence is required, this means your home must have a physical fence.  Other dogs may require a "strong vet reference" which indicates that we are looking for a home that has a documented history of veterinary care with previous pets.  The first step in our process is to submit an online adoption application at www.ohiofuzzypawz.com/forms.  The application MUST include the personal references and veterinary, grooming, and landlord references (if applicable) and their respective contact information.  If you do not include the references and the contact information, your application will be delayed as it CANNOT be processed.  Once the references have been successfully completed, a home visit is then scheduled when a rescue representative can meet all members of the family or residents of the home.  No application is approved prior to the home visit being done.   At that point, the Directors will discuss any and all applications on a foster dog and make a selection--in many cases, there are multiple applications for each dog, so please be understanding that our only priority is the successful placement of each of our foster dogs. Out of State Adoptions We do adopt out of state to outstanding applicants, however, our process requires a home visit, so out of state adoptions can take longer.  We do not ship our dogs, adopters should be prepared to pick up the dog in Central Ohio.  July 7, 2026, 4:10 pm
