Story
Hi! Hi! Oh—sorry, I got excited. My name is Moe, and I’m a 4-year-old mixed breed with a BIG personality and an even bigger heart. I’m the kind of guy who believes life is a party and everyone I meet is invited. When I say hello, I might bark or try to jump because WOW YOU’RE HERE and I’m thrilled—but I’m learning that calm greetings are a thing, and I just need a human who can show me how to take a breath and slow my tail wag down a notch. While I am a super active, bubbly, and always ready for fun type of guy, unfortunately I do have some medical issues that make that hard for me sometimes! Which is why I am considered a Special Paws adoption. Walks? Yes. Adventures? I would love to (if my body allows it). Treats? PLEASE. I am very food motivated, which means I’m eager to learn and will happily work for snacks (and praise… but mostly snacks). I love people, do great with kids, and I’m even cool with cats—pretty impressive, right? Perfect fun family dog! Other dogs make me a little unsure at first. I’m not rude, just shy and avoidant, so if I’m going to have a dog sibling, they’ll need to be polite, patient, and give me time to feel safe. Once I warm up, I do much better—I just don’t rush friendships. I’ll be honest with you, because I want this to be forever: I can be a bit protective of my bones, though I`d rather move away from you than have any kind of confrontation about it. It comes from fear, not mean intentions, and I’ll need a home that understands me and is willing to help me work through that with kindness, structure, and maybe some professional guidance. If you’re looking for a joyful, goofy, loving best friend who’s ready to learn and eager to love, I might just be your Moe. I promise to bring the fun, the wiggles, and a whole lot of heart.I am considered a Special Paws Adoption due to having some ongoing medical issues and my future adopters will need to be able to keep up with my medical care. Due to this, my adoption fee is totally up to you ($30 admin fee still applies)!

Hi… I’m Ruth Anne. I might hang back a little when we first meet or give you a few woofs—new things can feel a bit big sometimes—but if you give me a moment and come say hello softly, I promise I’ll meet you halfway. Actually… I’ll probably melt right into you. That’s kind of my specialty.I’m a gentle, loving girl who really enjoys the simple things—being close to my people, sharing quiet moments, and having a bit of fun once I feel safe. When I trust you, you’ll see my sweet and playful side shine through.I came here with my daughter, Missy. We’ve been through a lot together, and she feels much braver when I’m by her side. It’s not absolutely necessary that we go home together, but we sure would love it if we could. I help her feel safe, and she means the world to me.I should tell you, though—I’ve been known to get a little too interested in cats (I like to chase em), so a confident, dog-savvy cat would be best if we’re going to be housemates. I did meet one before and just kind of kept to myself, but I’ll likely need some time to feel them out first. As for other dogs, I do okay with ones who are calm, respectful, and not too pushy. I may not always like sharing my favourite people with other doggos but I’m willing to learn in the right home! I just really love my humans, what can I say??If you’re patient, kind, and ready for a loyal companion who will absolutely adore you… I think we might be perfect for each other.Love,Ruth Anne

Story
Hi… I’m Milo. I might take a second to come say hello, but I promise I’m thinking about it the whole time.I’m a gentle, curious guy who’s still figuring out the world. When we first meet, you might notice I hang back just a little, taking everything in with my nose and my eyes. New people and places can feel a bit big to me at first, but if you give me a moment, I’ll come back around for some quiet pets—and once I do, I tend to keep coming back for more.I’ve spent most of my life outside, so a home is going to be a brand new adventure for me. I’ll need someone patient to show me the ropes—things like house training, routines, and all those indoor manners. I’m trying my best already though. I walk really nicely on a leash (pretty impressive, if I do say so myself), and I’m polite about having my collar put on or being handled, even when I’m a little unsure.I’m not much of a foodie right now—shelter life is a bit stressful—but I do have a soft spot for toys. Toss me something squeaky and I’ll follow along, maybe pick it up and carry it proudly before bringing myself back to you for some affection. Honestly, attention is one of my favorite things once I feel safe.I’m what you might call a respectful socialite. With other dogs, I’m calm and well-mannered. If someone comes on a bit strong, I’d rather just give them space than make a fuss. I could live with another easygoing dog, or I’d be just as happy soaking up all your attention as your one and only. I’ve also lived around cats before and done just fine, and I’ve been around kids of all ages too.I’ll be honest—I can be a little anxious in new situations, and I’m still learning confidence. But I’m also incredibly gentle, patient, and willing. I’ve been through a lot, and I’m ready for something better: a warm home, kind guidance, and someone who sees the good in a dog who’s still blooming. If you’ve got a bit of patience, a sense of humor, and maybe a squeaky toy or two, I think we could make something really special together.Love,Milo
