Bo is a sweet and friendly dog! He is greta with other dogs and children. He lived to lay with you. He jumps and is constantly wanting affection. He has struggled with marking his territory indoors recently. This is something I cannot get him to stop doing. He is a great family dog!

Story
Port Fair A18546973 lb. neutered male, approx 5 years old -This handsome boy is a little stressed here and takes a little while to relax and warm up-Once comfortable, he will take treats. He sits and takes them gently.-He started approaching for pets and would nudge my hand for more-I sat on the blankets and he came over, plopped down next to me and let out a big sigh. He laid there peacefully for a while….Finally relaxing!-I then laid down and he scooted in closer and rolled over and gave me his belly. After a few belly rubs he started wiggling back and forth on the blankets.-Just an older, calm boy who needs a quiet place to feel comfortable-Walks nicely on a leash-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids •Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. •Studies show that a minimum of 3 days decompression drastically lower stress hormones and allow the dog to show more personality after they have settled in. •There is a suggested donation of $100 for our dogs, payable by cash, check or through paypal at the time of the adoption. •To meet them please go to front door and a DACC staff member will assist you with adoption or fostering. **And when coming to meet one of our dogs, please bring all the humans with you, but leave any current dogs at home. Staff will go over how to slowly and properly introduce them after a decompression period.** •The shelter is open 7 days a week from 10:30-5:30 **1431 E Ferry St. Detroit

Story
Delta A18558348 lb. neutered male, approx, 10 years old -Senior alert!-Nobody told this older man that he’s a senior and that he should slow down! He is still full of spunk and has plenty of energy left!-As soon as we got to the yard he was off and running after toys. He loves all toys but tennis balls may be his favorite!-He can’t get enough of playing fetch. He almost always brings it back and drops it immediately when asked. Then he waits for it to be thrown again.-He loves food! He will sit, lay, and can catch. He will take treats decently after reminders to be “easy or nice”.-He enjoys pets here and there but would rather just chill with a toy-Pulls just a little on leash walks-Needs a comfy place to land with some treats and lots of toys!-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids •Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment. Story
Pillowmint A18544751 lb. spayed female, approx 2 years old -This beautiful babe is so soft!-She’s a good mix of playful and chill!-She loves to be close for pets and belly rubs-She showed moments of playfulness and did some little zoomies before landing herself in between my legs where she buried her head for more pets!-She would not eat treats initially but as she became more comfortable she did. She “sits” and takes snacks very nicely.-She briefly played with a toy-She walks very nice and easy without pulling-Seems non reactive to dogs nearby and may do well living with a fur sibling after slow and proper intros Unknown behavior with dogs/cats/kids •Meet all of our adoptable pets on our website friendsofdacc.org/adopt •Please keep in mind that the shelter can be a very stressful environment.
