Story
Roo is an adorable, smart 2 year old mix. Loving and loyal, athletic and fun, she loves to camp, hike, play frisbee, and go for runs. Great with our kids but can be nervous (barky) when new friends/strangers visit. She can be jealous when we are giving attention to other dogs. She has snapped at some dogs (not bitten them); others she plays great with. She is leery of strangers initially but fine once she gets to know them. Our daughter (primary owner) left home and was unable to take Roo. After hard conversations we decided there may be a happier home (we have 2 other dogs and 2 cats on the premises!) with an experienced owner who can help her live her best life. Roo doesn’t like to be alone for very long stretches and would do well with another even-tempered dog that likes to play with her. She would love having an owner who works from home, or maybe one who lives on a ranch/farm. We would love to find a good fit for this little girl!

Story
Basil is fun and energetic. She loves to run, play in the water, play with toys and be active. Basil would love a home where there is lots of activity. She is very smart and loves to please her person. On one adventure, we took her to the local basketball indoor stadium. She experienced using the elevator, traversing steep stairs and dealing the the mascot for the team. She handled everything very well and kept looking to her handler for reassurance. Once she received it, she was happy as could. Basil loves people, but small children make her nervous. She would prefer older, dog savvy-children. Basil is still learning how to interact with other dogs and is a very high intensity pup who sometimes comes off a bit strong to other dogs. She does well with older, wiser dogs that remind her when enough is enough. Basil would likely chase cats, so a dog only home would be best. She is spayed and up to date on all her shots. Do you have an active household or looking for an adventure buddy. Contact us today to meet Basil.

Story
Meet George. George is a great dog with a ton of energy that needs some direction for all that energy. He arrived as a stray, but he knows sit and shake really well. George is very anxious in the kennel environment. He would prefer a relaxed home where his people are around most of the time. He has some separation anxiety, likely from being abandoned. George could use some leash training and consistent walks. He does love to fetch and play tug of war. He has done well with other playful dogs. We have not had a chance to introduce him to cats just yet. George would do best with adults and older, dog savvy children. He is a bit anxious and energetic for small children. He may need a refresher on house behavior as he has not been living in a house since he has been in our care. George is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. George is looking for that special person to spend time with him helping him feel safe and loved. He is a nice dog with lots of love to give. Are you his special person? Contact us today to meet George!

Story
Moxie is approximately 5 year old Labrador retriever mix. She is an energetic gal looking for her adventure partner. Moxie loves to run and loves the water. She loves running next to the ATV and loves riding in cars. On the farm, we can allow Moxie to be off leash. She listens when we redirect her and will come when we call. She has learned not to chase the horses here on the farm, but will still chase cats, so a home without cats would be best. This girl has a lot of energy so a yard and daily exercise is a must. Moxie is learning to okay on a leash, but still pulls and will need some re-education with leash skills. Moxie is house trained and will alert you to when she needs to go out. Like all dogs, proper introduction to new people is important until she is well settled into her new family. When she first arrived, she seemed like she was searching for her family and was not very interested in us. She has now settled into our place and shows us affection. She will probably need an adjustment period to new people. Moxie seems a bit defensive toward assertive dogs but has done well with submissive dogs. Proper introductions are a must. Moxie seems quite content without doggy companions and prefers her people. With some patience, Moxie will make an excellent companion. She just needs to know she is part of the family. Moxie is up to date on her vaccinations and is microchipped. Contact us to meet her today.
