Story
Banjo is an adorable 9-month-old black Labrador/Australian Kelpie mix with soulful brown eyes and charming button ears. He's a big-time snuggler who loves being part of his humans’ activities, making him the perfect adventure companion who also loves a cozy movie night. Having experienced an unstable start to life, Banjo is working through some anxiety and overstimulation. His foster family has been helping him overcome mouthiness and reactivity, and he’s made incredible progress, demonstrating his intelligence and eagerness to learn. This highly athletic dog will flourish with an active family who has a secure yard and plenty of space to play. He's already a pro at catching a ball, loves fetch, and is absolutely thrilled by water – a sprinkler will make his day! Banjo is treat-motivated and a quick learner, he already knows "sit," "down," and "shake" and is currently learning "place." He's also a very well-behaved passenger in the car and is crate trained. Banjo has started to receive professional training and is doing very well. He will do best in a home with owners who are committed to continuing his training. With consistent effort, you'll soon have a devoted, lifelong companion. Banjo is available from his foster home, please call the adoptions staff at 801-261-2919 ext. 227 to set up a meet and greet!
