Story
Champ is a sweet dog who thinks he is a tiny dog. He is 5 years old. He loves to run and play, but doesn’t realize he can be rough. He will chase kids. He plays great with most dogs. He has had a couple issues with a couple dogs, not sure why. My kids graduated and moved out. I don’t have the time and energy to give him proper attention. I would love for him to go to an active home where he can be loved and given lots of attention. I will include all of his food and toys.

Story
We got Bo as a puppy. He’s been a great dog and part of the family ever since. He’s full of light and energy and he’s super playful. He’s always been good with our two boys. To be honest, we do not want to put him in a new home. However, circumstances now make it difficult to keep him. We are now expecting our fourth child and because our townhome space is too small with limited yard area, he doesn’t get the room and exercise he needs. I work full time and my wife is at home with 3 kids so it’s been difficult to take him on walks or runs. We love Bo and want him to have a good home with someone who can keep up with him and enjoy his energy and love to the fullest.

Story
Meet Cookie—one of the sweetest little dogs you’ll ever meet! This two-year-old, 8 lb. mini BerneDoodle has a huge heart and so much love to share. Cookie adores people and wants to be wherever her humans are. She’s just as happy heading out for a walk or car ride as she is snuggled up for a cozy Netflix marathon. A true cuddle bug, she’ll happily keep you warm on chilly days. Cookie does great with other dogs, big or small, and peacefully coexists with cats. She’s a quiet little lady who rarely barks. At mealtime she shows her excitement by zooming in delighted (and sometimes slightly hazardous!) circles around your feet. She loves her food and never says no to a healthy snack. Cookie has a few medical needs that are well managed and will require ongoing care with her forever family and veterinarian. She has a seizure disorder controlled with a low dose of phenobarbital twice daily—she takes it easily with a little peanut butter – easy, peasy. She also had pancreatitis in the past, now managed with medication and a low-fat diet, which she should continue. Because she’s such an enthusiastic eater, she uses a puzzle bowl to slow things down (and she thinks it’s fun!). She should be fed separately only because she’d gladly sample everyone else’s dinner. Grooming isn’t her favorite activity, but with patience and a gentle groomer, she continues to improve. Cookie is spayed, heartworm-negative, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines. She’s truly a darling girl—could you be her forever family? If you are interested in adopting Cookie, please complete an adoption application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt). Story
Zoey is a super loving 4-6 year old female yellow Labrador. Zoey wants to be anywhere you are. Zoey loves bones, toys, and balls. She isn’t the best at playing fetch in the yard but will bring her ball to you to play. Zoey doesn’t have a mean bone in her. She will chase cats if they run, otherwise cannot be bothered by them. Our cat will block her from coming down the hall. Zoey is great with other dogs.; Zoey is overweight (94 lbs.) and would do well on a diet. Due to her size and weight she wouldn’t do well in a home with small kids. She isn’t mean, she just really excited and knocks them over. Zoey needs training, she really struggles with recall and leash training. If given a chance, she will run away. Zoey doesn’t rush the door when opened and is perfectly potty trained. Although her foster family kept her in a kennel while they were gone the first few weeks, Zoey soon proved to be a very good girl when she wasn’t crated. Zoey sometimes goes to doggie daycare and really enjoys it. Zoey will be a wonderful companion for someone with the love and patience of to help her become the best girl she can be. Zoey has been spayed, is current on vaccines, has teste negative for heartworm and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Zoey, please complete an adoption application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt). For more information, call/text Cathy at 801-598-0771 or email cv-sandy@hotmail.com.
