Story
Ellie is the most loving, happy, energetic dog I’ve ever met. She is so sweet and happy! She does have some behavioral issues; she pees in the house when she is mad or upset or if she feels like she isn’t getting enough attention, she jumps a lot, she doesn’t realize her size and sometimes because of that her jumping can hurt. I just had a very difficult pregnancy and she would pull me on walks, several times her strength pulled me straight onto my stomach which was very scary. Since we’ve brought our baby home she has jumped up on her, scratched her (unintentionally), has reopened my c-section incision from jumping on me, etc. As much as we love her and this will be traumatic for us, we have to allow her to go find a family who can give her more attention and who can help her expend her energy. Ellie will also come with her kennel, leash, collar, a weeks worth of her food so you can be prepared for her right away.

Story
Jasmine (Jazzy) is a sweet 10 month old Labradoodle Lab who loves being around people, kids, and playing in water. She is the runt from our dog's last litter and we thought that we could keep her but we've come to realize it isn't possible at this time. Jazzy has been good around other dogs when we've gone camping with our big group, but she isn't suited for being around our chickens. She likes to cuddle, give kisses and does well inside the house while supervised. Jazzy knows her name, sit, lay down, and come (most of the time). She is very active, curious, and playful but also loves to sit at your feet. She was born 2/13/2025 and had her first shot when she was 8 weeks old. She had her rabies shot 12/9/2025 and is microchipped. We're looking for a good home that can give her the love, attention, and training that she needs to become the great companion I know she is.

Story
Looking for a sweet, silly, and snuggly sidekick? Say hello to Cricket, a 5-month-old German Shepherd/Lab mix with ears too big for his head and a heart even bigger than that!Cricket is the definition of puppy joy – full of wiggles, tail wags, and playful energy. He adores everyone he meets (humans and dogs alike!) and especially loves romping around with his furry foster siblings. Whether he's chasing a ball, squeaking a toy, or zipping through the yard, Cricket knows how to make the most of every moment. After playtime, he's all about the snuggles – belly rubs and cozy naps in soft dog beds are the way to his heart. He’s also crate trained, almost fully house trained, and already showing off how smart he is by learning leash and car manners like a champ.Cricket would thrive in a home with another playful pup to wrestle and run with. If you’re ready for a fun, affectionate, and absolutely adorable new family member, Cricket is ready to steal your heart (and maybe your socks)!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
Duke is a sweet and handsome 4 year old 50-pound Labradoodle with a heart full of love. He is currently working on gaining a few healthy pounds, and with a little TLC from his new family, he'll be feeling his best in no time. He is looking for a calm, supportive home environment to help him feel secure and loved.Duke has a medium to high energy level, meaning he is ready for adventures and play!Due to his past experiences, Duke can occasionally get a little anxious. While Duke might be a bit nervous when meeting new people, it doesn't take long for his loving personality to shine through! He warms up quickly and craves affection and attention. Dog-Friendly: Duke loves to play and is a social butterfly when it comes to his canine companions!‍‍‍ Kid-Friendly: He previously lived with children and got along great with them! Cat-Cautious: He is a bit 'excited' about cats, so a home without feline friends, or a family committed to careful, slow introductions, would be best.Duke is a smart boy who has some basics down:&#226&#156&#133 Housetrained&#226&#156&#133 Crate Trained&#226&#156&#133 Walks well on a leashHis Ideal HomeDuke needs a patient, loving family ready to welcome him into their hearts and help manage his anxiety with positive reinforcement. While he has great manners, he would benefit from some basic obedience training to boost his confidence and polish his skills. His energy level means he needs a family committed to daily exercise and mental stimulation! His gorgeous doodle coat is highly desirable, but please know it requires regular grooming to keep him looking and feeling his handsome best! Are you ready to give this sweet Labradoodle the comfortable, loving, and permanent home he deserves? Story
Meet Ruben Humphrey!Ruben Humphrey is a 10-year-old poodle / terrier mix (14 lbs) with white silky fur, a curly tail, and the spark of a dog half his age. He came to CAWS after being found as a stray at a local shelter, and he has wasted no time winning over every human he meets. Truly, this little guy has yet to find a person he doesn’t adore.Ruben is incredibly sweet and affectionate. The moment he spots his human, he jumps up hoping for cuddles and attention. He’s endlessly curious and loves exploring every corner of his world.Walks are pure joy for him. With his excited zig-zag trot, he encourages his human to pick up the pace and enjoy the adventure with him. His age may say “10,” but his energy says something much younger.Ruben is an independent guy who’s perfectly happy doing his own thing, but when he’s in the right mood, he enjoys interacting and playing with other dogs. He can sometimes come on a little strong at first, but he’s learned doggy boundaries and has been doing great with his foster siblings, big and small, as he practices polite play. He’d likely enjoy a well-matched canine companion who communicates clearly.Ruben does have some resource-guarding tendencies, particularly with food. He’ll thrive in a home that provides routine, structure, and an adopter who’s comfortable managing mealtimes and supporting healthy boundaries. He also is very weary of new people coming into his home. His foster mom holds him and helps soothe his nerves and then he’s ready to let a new human fall in love with him. Once he connects with a human he activates his Velcro mode. Ruben loves being near his people and is learning that his crate can be a cozy, safe hangout spot. He hasn’t been cat-tested yet.To meet this spry, snuggly little character, please fill out an application at www.caws.org/adoption-application.CAWS does not place animals on a first-come, first-served basis; we strive to find the perfect home for each animal.
