Story
Buzz “BB” is a Yellow Lab mix male, 75 pounds, approx., 4-5 yrs. Old. BB is a typical Labrador that loves to run, and play fetch and is on the constant go. BB is one out of the three that came to us out of a hoarding situation. BB is a good boy that had such pinned-up energy. He just was excited to have a fenced-in yard to run and play in. He too spent entirely too much time in a crate and would love a home where he can run and play. He has no aggression whatsoever and is a happy boy, but he is slightly scared and will coward down at times. Unlike Galaxy, he will communicate when he wants something. He is super sweet, and affectionate and enjoys being petted. BB has not had any accidents indoors. He would love a human buddy who will spend time with him. He too wouldn’t mind going to a home with Galaxy but would do fine on his own. He loves treats, a nice bed, and a fenced-in backyard! If you wish to give this sweet boy BB a forever home please go to our website to complete our pre-adoption application https://www.southernskiesrescue.org/adoption-application BB has been neutered, up-to-date on all his vaccines, heartworm tested negative, and placed on prevention plus microchipped.

Addie is now 10 months old, 56 pounds and was born to a spray mom who we rescued named Meredith. Addie and her sister Lexie have not yet been adopted. Both are now fully medically vetted; spayed, up-to-dtae on all puppy shots, rabies and bordetella and on prevention. Addie is super smart, treat motivated and LOVES her ball. She is affectionate, loving and knows some basic cues. She is crate trained and a truly fantastic pup that deserves a forever home. She does have energy and will require additional training. She would do best in a home where someone was around to spend time with her, another dog that loves to play preferably a male. She would require a fenced in yard to play in and would love an active household that could spend time with her. If your interested in giving a home to a wonderful pup give one to Addie. Story
Meet Boone! Boone is a stunningly gorgeous Lab/Golden/Hound blend, that is 11 months old and weighs 65 pounds. Sadly, Boone was left abandoned at a Vet Clinic after being kept in a crate for well over 12 hours up to 24 hours a day most of his life. Boone is a really good boy, loving with no meanness just can’t be kept locked up in crates or kennels for any length of time. He does have energy but it’s nothing we haven’t seen with labs before, just requires plenty of exercise with consistency. He is housebroken and crate trained but prefers not to be in one. He loves running around in a backyard and will require a fenced-in yard where he can sunbathe and enjoy playtime. Boone is still young, so he needs someone willing to work with him and give him the training he requires. We do the best we can to get them started. Boone is fine with other dogs, but would prefer to be the only dog getting all the undivided attention attention. Boone needs an active family, one with a stay-at-home or work-from-home individual, a teenager to be best friends with who enjoys having their dog with them most days to pal around with. Boone deserves a family that understands dogs, has had them and understands the need to nurture, love, and train to be the best they can be. Boone is extremely loving and very affectionate. To adopt Boone please go to our website to start the adoption process by completing our pre-adoption application https://www.southernskiesrescue.org/adoption-application Boone is fully medically vetted; neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm tested negative placed on prevention plus will be microchipped.

Introducing Chief. The most handsome 3 year old golden retriever. He was surrendered to FOR when his owners unfortunately didn’t have the time for him. Chief is an energetic and active guy. He absolutely loves to play fetch and is 100% a water dog. He is doing great with other dogs and would love a playmate. We are suggesting no cats, he is just so active and energetic around them so for the safety of the cats both physically And mentally we are saying no cats. Chief would do best with older children. Ideally 10 years and older. He is a big boy who is still learning manners, like not jumping. If you are looking for an active dog, Chief is your man! To adopt Chief please fill out an application of our website forrescue.net. At this time, we are only looking for local adopters. He is being fostered in Huntsville, AL.
