Story
Introducing Shaggy: Your Loyal and Loving Companion Meet Shaggy, a resilient pup who's overcome a tough start in life and is now ready to find his forever home. Shaggy is heartworm negative, with all his annual vaccines and rabies shots up to date. Before he joins his new family, Shaggy will be neutered and microchipped, ensuring his health and safety for years to come. Shaggy is a delightful companion who loves nothing more than exploring the world around him. Whether it's going on long walks or simply enjoying a leisurely ride in the car, Shaggy's zest for life is infectious. He may even tuck his head under the seat for a cozy nap, relishing in the comfort of the dark when he's feeling tired. Outside, Shaggy is eager to work alongside you, but inside, he longs to be a cherished member of your family. He enjoys playing with his stuffed animals and cuddling up on the couch with you, especially when he's feeling sleepy. Providing him with a blanket to cuddle under adds an extra level of comfort, helping him feel safe and secure. Shaggy is a well-behaved pup who excels on the leash, except when nature calls and he simply can't wait. In those moments, he may show his playful side by over-sleeping, but it's all part of his adorable charm. Shaggy has proven himself to be great with older kids and has shown no issues around other dogs or cats. While he may throw a little tantrum when it's time for his shots, a little reassurance and patience go a long way in helping him overcome his fears. If you're interested in learning more about Shaggy and providing him with the loving home he deserves, please don't hesitate to reach out. He's eagerly awaiting the chance to become a cherished member of your family.

Story
🐾 Meet Yoda: Your Future Furry Friend! 🐾 Yoda, a 4-5 month old lab mix puppy, is still waiting for his forever home! This adorable pup came to the shelter scared, starved, and filthy, but today, this chunky boy is outgoing, crazy about cuddles, and can smell cookies from a mile away! The only thing missing in Yoda’s life is a loving home to call his own. Yoda is a smart boy who picks up on things quickly, especially with a little treat motivation! He is by far the lap dog of his group and would love a home where he can have a permanent spot on the couch, bed, and lap, soaking up all the pets he deserves. Yoda does well on the leash and now needs very little reassurance on his walks. However, he prefers short and sweet strolls because he'd rather be sitting and getting pets than walking! Yoda enjoys playgroup, but he sometimes needs a reminder that there are other fun activities besides sitting in the shade and getting pets. Yoda is good at sharing his toys but has decided that his food is his food. He will need some help overcoming his food resource guarding issues. This is no fault of his own and is merely a product of his unfortunate circumstances before coming to the shelter. It would be best if he were fed separately from other animals, and small children should be mindful during his mealtime. Yoda is great with kids of all ages and usually on his best behavior when it comes to jumping up. He is also a pro at bath time and always sits politely while staff trims his nails! For more information on how you can adopt or rescue Yoda, please message us on Facebook or call/text us at 256-960-1408! Euthanasia date:7-3-24

Story
Meet Anakin, a 4-5 month-old lab mix puppy still searching for his perfect forever home! Anakin is determined to show that while he may not have had the best start, he would still make the perfect pup in his new home, and here's how he intends to prove it: 1. show the world that even though he's the runt of the litter his heart is the size of Texas. 2. Show his public speaking skills because he is a smooth talker who can talk a treat out of anyone.3. Prove once and for all that anyone can be your new best friend if you lick them so much they don't have a choice but to love you. 4. Show off his leash skills, but pray the local squirrel stays in his own tree because if not, he may need a little reassurance that he is indeed still bigger than a squirrel. 5. Show the kids that he is nothing to be afraid of by bringing them a toy to play with together—and finally, 6. LOVE and love hard from the moment you meet him until you go to bed. He will remind you that he loves you. For more information on how to adopt/rescue Anakin, please message us on Facebook or call/text us at 256-960-1408! Euthanasia date: 7-3-24

Story
Honey is a sweet 4-5 month old lab mix still waiting for his forever home! This adorable pup lives up to his name, spreading love to everyone and everything he meets. While he may be a bit shy when first meeting new people, a few kind words and a treat or two will have him warming up in no time! Honey loves playtime with other puppies and is great at sharing his toys (even when his friends forget to share!). He's a treat lover and is currently working on his basic manners. His treat motivation is sure to make training a breeze! One of Honey’s favorite things is making people laugh – he’ll hop around like a bunny just to see you smile! He’s your typical puppy going through teething, so while blankets are safe, be cautious with toys that are easy to chew. Honey is also incredibly smart, having mastered the first treat puzzle at the shelter with no problem. He loves lick mats, which are perfect for keeping him engaged when you need a little break. Bath time is a breeze with Honey, and while he's a bit wiggly during nail trims, he's already improving. We just know Honey will fit perfectly into any home! For more information on how you can rescue or adopt Honey, please message us on Facebook or call/text us at 256-960-1408!
