Story
Olly 1 1/2 old   he is neutered and vaccinated. loves to go during the day hours. He sleeps in a crate or in my son’s bed at night. We are having to rehome him due to issues with our other animals. He does not do well with cats or chickens. He loves cuddles, playing fetch and has a favorite raccoon toy he snuggles to sleep with. He will walk on a leash after a minute or two of getting used to it. He also dislikes getting into a vehicle but enjoys the ride once he is there. We rescued him last year from a kill shelter and he has been the sweetest little guy ever. call or text Melissa 256-479-7499 www.safehavenpets.org Scottsboro Al area. April 29, 2024, 12:40 pm

Introducing Shaggy: Your Loyal and Loving Companion Meet Shaggy, a resilient pup who's overcome a tough start in life and is now ready to find his forever home. Shaggy is heartworm negative, with all his annual vaccines and rabies shots up to date. Before he joins his new family, Shaggy will be neutered and microchipped, ensuring his health and safety for years to come. Shaggy is a delightful companion who loves nothing more than exploring the world around him. Whether it's going on long walks or simply enjoying a leisurely ride in the car, Shaggy's zest for life is infectious. He may even tuck his head under the seat for a cozy nap, relishing in the comfort of the dark when he's feeling tired. Outside, Shaggy is eager to work alongside you, but inside, he longs to be a cherished member of your family. He enjoys playing with his stuffed animals and cuddling up on the couch with you, especially when he's feeling sleepy. Providing him with a blanket to cuddle under adds an extra level of comfort, helping him feel safe and secure. Shaggy is a well-behaved pup who excels on the leash, except when nature calls and he simply can't wait. In those moments, he may show his playful side by over-sleeping, but it's all part of his adorable charm. Shaggy has proven himself to be great with older kids and has shown no issues around other dogs or cats. While he may throw a little tantrum when it's time for his shots, a little reassurance and patience go a long way in helping him overcome his fears. If you're interested in learning more about Shaggy and providing him with the loving home he deserves, please don't hesitate to reach out. He's eagerly awaiting the chance to become a cherished member of your family.

Story
Bailey is a black beauty with very distinctive ears and expressions. She is approximately 7 months old, and of course has puppy tendencies, but she corrects well and is smart. She is food motivated, so that's a good training tool. She knows 'sit', but that's about the extent of her commands currently. She loves squeaky toys and can destroy them in minutes. She also likes balls and sticks. Although she has lots of energy and is a great 'zoomie' puppy, she will settle down and play gently with the old dog in her foster home. She goes out to potty and doesn't have house accidents if you are attentive to her letting you know she needs to go out. She does pretty well on the leash, but still needs some work with pulling. She LOVES kids and she is awesome with the children she is around, ages 10 and 11. She currently weighs 40 pounds, and was recently spayed. She is crate trained and will go in with a little encouragement. She can remain in her crate for 6 - 8 hours with no accidents. She does have a little extra security closure on her crate because she can escape at times. She would LOVE a younger, more energetic dog to play with and/or some 10 - 12 year old children that are familiar with loving and playing with an animal. She will bring joy to any home. Bailey is spayed, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative. Apply at FORrescue.net

Story
Steel is about as easygoing as a dog can be! Super chill, laid back, happy go lucky. What's not to love? This handsome boy loves lounging around with his people. He is always up for a walk or a car ride, and his exercise needs can easily be met with a 30-minute walk or play session daily. He is great with children and other dogs and he is housebroken and crate trained. He knows sit, down, stay, shake, and leave it. Steel is very gentle and wouldn’t hurt a fly, but he does have a deep, loud bark and doesn’t hesitate to tell strangers to stay away from his people. He loves a good back scratch and will tolerate brushing and bathing. Sunbathing is one of his favorite activities. On sunny mornings you will find this boy stretched out on his bed beside the window where he can lie in the sun and simultaneously survey the neighborhood happenings. Steel is fully vetted and in great shape for a dog his age. He is 8 years old and weighs 85 lbs. He is a Labrador retriever mix with the typical Labrador retriever personality. He was raised in a loving home by a family who adored him. Steel is fostered in Madison, Alabama.
