This gorgeous lil guy is Drew. Drew came in when his family went through a hardship. He's an adorable boy with a fuzzy coat. We aren't sure what gives him that fluff, but it just adds to his irresistibility. Anyone that looks in his direction falls under his spell. He has our volunteers wrapped around his adorable lil paw. Taking apps now to get Mr Irresistible into his furever home soon ##2034356##

Story
Our Jane was a very broken girl that we pulled from Lifeline in Dekalb County Georgia on August 18, 2018. She was feral, had lost her leg and was a fear biter. She was running out of chances for life. In the time that Jane has been with us, she has taken over the office. She loves to shred paper and print random things. She loves her bed and her red toys. She gets so excited and dances on three legs at breakfast time. She lets me pet her, bathe her and cut her nails. She is a great guard dog and lets me know if anyone is around. She does not like strangers but with time and patience she will love you. She needs a home that does not have small children. Jane is crate and house trained. She is about eight or nine years old. We would love to see this girl to get the loving home she has never experienced.

Story
Onyx is a shy girl when she first meets you but warms up very quickly. Her favorite thing to do is to catch treats. She is very good at it too. She is not crazy about the yappy small dogs at the rescue but would do well with a dog her size if it was not too bossy. She is very small for her breed. She is doing well on her crate and leash training. She loves chasing tennis balls and shredding stuffed animals.

Story
He is a large breed, incredibly sweet, playful boy that has been with us for over a year. We actually had Donnie and his siblings as 5 week old puppies. He was adopted when he was still very young. See below for a picture of baby Donnie. Unfortunately he was found roaming the street several months later. We make a commitment to ALWAYS take our pets back. He came back to us over a year ago and has been here ever since. Donnie loves people and attention. He is super playful, but can play too rough if allowed. His favorite game is tug of War. His favorite toy is a stuffed unicorn. Donnie is selective about other dogs and has not been cat tested. He likes kids, but due to his size and playful personality we recommend children over 10. He is a large, healthy boy weighing in at around 70 pounds. Donnie enjoys running, playing with toys, rolling in his play yard, playing tug of war, and sleeping. He also loves the water hose. He dances for the water hose on a hot day. He walks very well on a leash, keeps a clean kennel, is up to date on vaccines, and is neutered. He is a volunteer favorite. And, he is an absolute goofball. Donnie is a big boy who loves to play! He was adopted as a puppy but returned when his family moved and couldn't take him with them. He does like other dogs, but can be selective. Not sure about cats. Loves to play with his toys and ball! He was once house trained but may need a refresher course. Donnie's DOB is 12/12/2020 Our adoption package includes: -spay/neuter (when age appropriate) -microchip -full vetting (including up to date vaccinations & deworming) Visit our website to fill out an adoption application. You can also come visit our cats & dogs on Saturdays (10-2). Please visit our website at humanesocietyhoco.org and fill out an adoption application or view more info on our doggies. We are open on Saturday (10am - 2pm) every week. Please come by and say hi to all of our sweet doggies and for more photos visit us on instagram @dogsofhocohumane

Story
Belle is a super sweet, energetic one year old. She has an excellent recall, loves to play fetch and loves running around outside. We haven't had her long, she still needs work on house training, sadly I can no longer have her inside due to realizing my child is allergic to her! She would be better in a home with older kids as she has a tendency to jump, she is a lab MIX. It's not fair for her to be outside 24/7, she has shelter and food. She needs a family that can show her the love and affection that she deserves. Please someone come get her before it gets super cold out, if I could bring her in I would.

Story
This family is looking to rehome this beauty. Contact this number if you would like to meet her. 801-678-9201 NAME: Zippy MALE OR FEMALE: Female AGE OR DATE OF BIRTH: 4 years old (2-6-19) WEIGHT: 38 pounds HOUSE BROKEN : yes BREED or MIX (best guess): mutt, looks like a mini greyhound SPAYED: yes VACCINATED: current as of 6-29-23 IF VACCINATED- Can you provide documentation/vet records to support their vaccine history? Yes ON HEARTWORM PREVENTION? Yes ON FLEA/TICK PREVENTION? Yes GOOD WITH KIDS: Extremely loving with our 4 kids. Very loving even around babies and toddlers who pull her curly tail. She has been an excellent dog with our kids for the past 4 years and we hope to find another home for her with kids because she truly is so sweet and amazing with children. GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS: We have 3 dogs and she is super friendly and playful with them. She barks at unfamiliar dogs and does need time to adjust to new dogs. GOOD WITH CATS: Unsure, but probably would need to be introduced slowly until she became familiar with any new pet. OTHER INFORMATION ABOUT THE DOG: She is named Zippy for a reason- she is FAST and loves to run and get her zoomies out. Our yard is small but she goes with us to my parents’ house in the country and she absolutely loves to run around and is always good about staying close and coming back inside with us. She would make an excellent farm dog. The kids walk her in the neighborhood and she does not pull; she even runs next to the kids when they use their scooter to walk her so she can run. She is a great watchdog and she has a territorial prey instinct try to chase every critter from the yard. She is used to sleeping with the kids in the bed with them, but is also happy anywhere in the house at night. She does not like to be in a crate, but honestly has no behavioral issues that make a crate necessary. She does fine when we board her for vacations. She is perfectly house trained and does not chew anything except her toys/bones. She is super playful and will catch balls that you throw up to her, and she is so sweet and loving and will sit next to you on the couch and snuggle. Please ask me any questions you have as we desire to find the best fit for Zippy.April 25, 2024, 8:00 pm
