Story
Enzo was a very good puppy. Was brought up around another older dog and cats. Within the last 6 months it has become food aggressive and nipping at smaller children. Enzo has also started to stray from home and pee in the house randomly even if he has been let outside before. The dog has never bitten an adult or child. Enzo goes after other dogs that he thinks has a bone or food. Enzo is very loving and wants to be around people. We've tried some behavioral therapy and it just doesn't seem to stick. The dog has never been physically abused and is well fed.

Story
This beautiful girls name is Hilda and she is a 3 year old Lab- Pyrenees mix who weighs about 75 lbs. Hilda had a rough start to life, she was abandoned on a farm down South and gave birth to her puppies under a chicken coop. From poor nutrition Hilda's front legs are deformed. She can still walk and does a great job getting around, even jumps up on the couch for some love. Hilda is nervous with new people at first, it does take her a bit to warm, but who can blame her after all she has been through. She sleeps under her foster mom's desk during the day, that has become her safe space. A fenced in yard would be best for Hilda, so she has somewhere safe to be outside if she gets scared, she cannot run off. Once she trusts you its kisses and snuggles going forward. If you feel you may be the right fit for Hilda and can give her all the love she deserves, fill out an application she would love to meet you. I included a few before pictures so you can see just how far she has come. Our adoption process is usually quick but may take up to two weeks. When you find an animal you are interested in, we ask that you fill out an application as a first step so we can determine if your family is a good fit for the animal. If you are, then we will contact you to arrange a time for you and your family to meet the animal so you can decide if it is a good fit. If you currently have dogs, we require that the dogs be present at the meeting to make sure it's a good fit all around. Once compatibility is determined, we move on to the paperwork and finalize the adoption. If the meet is not a good fit, we will keep your application on file for 6 months and we will gladly consider your family for another dog. Story
Angel is a beautiful 9-year-old black Lab with the softest eyes and the sweetest heart. True to her name, she is a loving, affectionate girl who bonds deeply with her people and just wants to feel safe and cherished. Angel would thrive in a calm, patient home with someone who is around often and able to spend quality time with her. She does best in a quieter environment where routines are predictable and she can relax, decompress, and build trust at her own pace. Once she feels secure, Angel shows just how loving and devoted she can be. We are looking for a foster or foster-to-adopt home for Angel. Starting as a foster gives her the chance to settle in gently and allows her future family to truly get to know her, with the option to adopt when everyone feels ready. More than anything, Angel’s greatest need is a person or family with the time, patience, and compassion to help her feel safe and loved. If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup , please complete our online adoption application that you can find here: https://www.starfishanimalrescue.com/adopt/dog-adoption-application . Your application will be reviewed by our team and if it is a good fit, we will send to the foster family to set up a meet! The adoption fee of $200 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family.   IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.July 20, 2026, 7:12 pm
