Story
Hi there! My name is Kianna and if you are looking to add a great pup to your home you have come to the right place! I am a young, playful (and I must say, ADORABLE) puppy. I'm old enough to be potty trained and I sleep well all night in my crate, but believe me, there is still a lot of puppy for you to enjoy! I love to romp around in the yard - either by myself or with my foster sister. In doors, I like to watch the world go by through the window, relax on a soft doggy bed, or play with toys. And eat, I like to eat. I am very food motivated so that will make training me much easier I'm told. I don't know much in the way of commands, but my foster family is working with me to learn things like "sit", "stay" and "wait". I'm also learning to be a good girl on my leash when we go for walks. I love every pup and person I meet. I can be a little shy at first with new people, but I warm up quickly and will welcome your pets and belly rubs. I must warn you though - I pass out puppy kisses like I have an endless supply of them. Because I do have an endless supply, don't I? If you would like to meet me, please come to one of our Saturday adoption shows - I'll be the prettiest pup there so you can't miss me. Or, if you think you would like to be my forever family, please complete an adoption application and my foster mom will get in touch with youAdoption fee is $420Email: dogs@almosthomefoundation.orgAlmost Home Foundation's adoption requirements:(1) Be at least 21 years of age;(2) Have the consent of all adults living in the household;(3) Have approval from the residence owner;(4) Have valid ID with current address;(5) Be approved by Almost Home Foundation as a suitable adoptive home; and`(6) Live in the suburbs surrounding Schaumburg (Illinois Residents only)*** Please note that Almost Home Foundation accepts only cash or checks for adoption fees; we do not accept debit or credit cards. ***

Story
Woof woof. Hey all! My name is Dazzle, cuz I'm a shining star! I'm a young pup who lost his home because I wasn't really getting along with my sibling. Therefore, I would be better in my home as an only dog. But that's okay! AHF tells me there's plenty of people out there looking for a solo doggo. I would be better off in a home with older kids. I have a lot of love to give and want someone to share it with! After being in a home, the AHF kennel is not the best place for me. Of course I love the volunteers here (and they have some yummy treats and a big yard for me to run around in) but as they say, there's no place like home! Being a young pup, I would benefit from training. Lucky for my adopter, I come with in-home training! This will be best for me and my adopters to succeed. I am working with some of the volunteers on my leash manners, but I really need someone who will be consistent and work me through it. I know I have it in me! I am really just a playful puppy who knows most of his basic commands! I really love to run and play and I wouldn't mind some snuggles too! Hopefully you are interested in meeting me, and if not maybe you know someone who is!Adoption donation is $320. Story
In spite of having a very tough start to his life, Toby is still hopeful that life will get better and there is a family out there who will love and care for him and give him the home he deserves. He’s a very sweet but very energetic Lab Mix who has lived most of his life outdoors by himself due to his previous family having allergies to him. In spite of his limited socializing, Toby is eager to be with people and very eager to please them. He’s such a nice dog, we knew we could not just leave him where he was, so we brought Toby into our program as an owner surrender. We knew we’d need help channeling Toby’s energy into constructive activities and training, so enrolled him into a local board-and-train. He has completed a 3 week board and train and would love to continue to learn more skills to show off his love for life. This program will also offer 2 training sessions for adopters so that they can continue helping Toby be the best pup he can be. Trainers report that everyone is falling in love with sweet Toby. He is working on leash manners, basic obedience, self-regulation and other skills that will make some adopter a very lucky person/family. Toby’s perfect family is a strong, patient, active couple or person who enjoys walks, running or hiking. Toby has shown that he is eager to please and very smart; he might even be a prospect for agility training and other dog sports. He would be happiest with a fenced in yard of his own to run and retrieve balls (and to chase the squirrels)! He loves to cuddle and thinks he's a lap dog! He is friendly towards other dogs but would be best with another large, energetic dog or as a single dog to get all the attention he deserves. NO cats. Children should be older as he is a large guy who doesn’t always realize his size and can accidentally knock over smaller children. He is crate trained and often goes in on his own for timeouts. While his foster mom works in the family room, he spends his time chewing on toys, begging for tummy rubs, and lounging in his bed. This handsome boy is a about 90 lbs, neutered, up-to-date on all vaccinations, heartworm negative and on year-round prevention, and microchipped. If you are interested in adding this handsome, super-smart, enthusiastic boy to your family, please contact BAARKDogRescue@gmail.com or 847-852-0895. BAARK is located in the NW suburbs of Chicago and adopts local to the area.
