Pip came to Misty Eyes as a young puppy with 8 siblings! He was living in a foster home where he began learning about good house manners and was soon adopted. Unfortunately, due to family changes, he was returned at 1 1/2 years of age. He is a goofy boy who loves attention from all of the people. He is friends with the other dogs and the cat in his foster home and especially loves the kiddos in the home. He would do well in a training class, as sometimes his young dog exuberance overrides the manners he has been learning. He walks on a leash, but pulls when he is distracted by a squirrel or other animals. He is a typical older puppy, who is smart and eager to please his people and will make a great family member for an active family. Tulip is now available for adoption! This sweet girl was found a week after the group of 4 from Big Lots was discovered, but she seems to have many of the same characteristics. She is under a year old, and definitely alllllll puppy. We are looking for an active adopter who has another dog that loves to play. Puppy patience is a must! Tulip is learning to be less mouthy, and is still working on potty training but has improved a lot. She would be best in a home without small children due to her mouthiness. She is very sweet and doesn't know a stranger! Tulip currently lives with other dogs and has been around cats in temporary foster homes. She does try to chase, but is non-aggressive, so a home with dog-savvy cats may be ok. Tulip is currently 30 lbs and is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and on heartgard

Goldie came to us as a stray with a very pregnant dog. She lives in her foster home with a male dog and happily coexists with him, but isn't really one to play. She walks very well on leash, and doesn't jump on the bed or couch unless invited. She has a great personality and is awesome with humans. Her foster describes her as very sweet, and says she just wants to love her people and be loved in return. Goldie is approximately 4 - 6 years old and 50 - 60 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm negative, on heartworm prevention, and microchipped.

Redd (Gomez on his vet records) came to us as a stray dog on Halloween. He is a WONDERFULLY sweet dog, who loves playing with other dogs. To give you an idea of how great his temperament is, he is often used as the temperament-testing dog for the rescue. We are only considering homes for him that have other playful dogs. Redd is potty trained and crate trained, although does occasionally whine when crated. He loves to cuddle. His main flaw is that he is a chewer, and hasn't get grown out of the puppy nibbling stage. Redd is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and HW negative. He is 65 lbs and approximately 1.5 - 2 years old.

Meet the dynamic duo ... Dory & Luther! This pair will have you smiling in no time with their hijinks and antics! They just LOVE snuggles and cuddles! But when they aren't getting ear scratches and tummy rubs, they revel in games of chase and wrestling in the yard. Dory gets very proud of herself when she finds a toy and prances around like a racehorse with her prize in her mouth. Luther is our mischievous boy who is known to steal a treat from a countertop when he thinks no one is looking. Unfortunately, their first year and a half was not good. They were confiscated after a police raid of a drug house along with 45 other dogs. Both were severely traumatized from what they had experienced for those first 18 months. Luckily, they have flourished and blossomed as they've learned that people are safe and can be the source of good things. Dory is still pretty tentative around men; males were NOT good to her previously. She can learn to trust men with patience and kindness. Luther accepts everyone with a wagging tail. He is definitely Dory's "woobie" and provides her with a sense of confidence and feeling of safety. Dory follows his lead and feels safer when he is around. They are definitely a bonded pair. Both dogs are now 5 years old after rehabilitating with us for 3 1/2 years. Dory is an adorable beagle weighing about 25 lbs. Luther is a lab/border collie mix who is about 60 lbs. The ideal home for these wonderful dogs will have a secure fenced-in yard and, due to Dory's fear issues, no children under 16 years of age. They do need a calm home environment without a lot of visitors as it would be too much for Dory to handle as she progresses. Their new parents will need to be patient, loving and understanding as the two adjust to home life but they will reap an enormous amount of love this sweet pair. The adoption fee for both dogs is $300. They are spayed/neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations and heartworm/flea preventative.

I walk well on a harness leash and will follow your lead. I`m treat motivated and looking to please. I do have a lot of energy and would love a home that will commit to continue my training!
