Buckley is a 7 year-old lab / pitbull mix. He’s the sweetest, most friendly dog and gets along well with all dogs, humans (including kids / babies) and even cats. Buckley has a larger than life personality and loves being the center of attention. He loves toys, going on walks, and cuddling with his people. Due to recent changes in our personal life, we think Buckley will be happier in a home that can continue to keep up with his energetic life style and give him the attention this sweet boy deserves. While this has been such a tough decision for us, we really want him to be somewhere where he is thriving and happy.

We adopted Darky from the humane Society almost 1.5 years ago. They warned us he has behavior issues. Mainly he cannot get along with other dogs. We never planned on getting a second dog so we didn’t think it would be an issue. We live in a small apartment. When Darky gets the zoomies he runs all over literally bouncing off the walls. I wish we had a yard. We’ve tried taking them to the dog park. But we have to leave if another dog shows up. If he ever sees another dog, he flips out. I’m the only one who can take him on walks. I’m the only one who’s strong enough. My wife has gotten hurt many times trying to take him on walks, and he can literally drag my son. He acts like a great wonderful dog until he sees another dog, and then you better be ready for it because he flips out. When we’re in the apartment and it’s just us and him. He’s wonderful. He’s quiet and very well potty trained. I wish I could get a house. And a yard for him. But I’m still several years, off from that.

He enjoys snuggling up next to you or in your lap, often requesting a belly rub. He clearly finds comfort in people, as he loves to be hugged and held close. Titan likes to carry a toy in his mouth while he walks, and he especially appreciates if you hold onto the toy while you walk together. It’s his way of holding hands with you!Titan likes to stay busy and do things with his people. He enjoys being outside, playing, and learning. He has had some training and would do well with someone who wants to keep building on that and help him settle into a routine. He knows sit, shake, and lay down, and he’s a pro at navigating our obstacle course. With his love for treats and eagerness to please, he’s a fast learner.Titan has spent some time away from the shelter at Ritchie Woods Nature Park where he had a blast exploring the trails. He rode great in the car, and he enjoyed a pup cup and politely shared a sandwich with the volunteer, patiently waiting for his turn for each bite.Titan would do best in a home with teens or adults who are ready for an active companion and can offer structure and guidance. He’s lived with another dog before and did well, and we are happy to do meet & greets to make sure everyone feels comfortable.If you are looking for a fun, affectionate dog who wants to be part of your daily life, Titan is ready to meet you!

It is my pleasure to introduce to you: Gremlin! This gentleman is a very high energy and playful teenage boy looking for an active family that will allow him to spend his days having fun. If he could live out all of his days outside running around, he would do so happily. This pup does not have an off-button, and he would do best in a family that understands this go-go-go demeanor and is willing to do what they can to help tire out a dog that would play fetch/tug for hours. He will also tell you all about his shenanigans! He will have full blown conversations with you. This fella is fully vetted including: vaccinations according to his age, deworming medication dosages, a fecal screening, a test for tickborne illnesses, a neuter surgery, a microchip, and flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Additionally, Gremlin has spent the last few weeks in a home learning how to be a true family pup. He is working on basic training (kennel training, potty training, basic commands, etc.), and he has been exposed and socialized with the current resident animals in his foster home: dogs and cats of various ages and sizes. It is important to note that, while he is extremely friendly and just wants to play, he might do best in a household that either does not have cats or has resident cats that like this rough play. Willow is such a sweet puppy. She has all her shots, vet visits and is spayed. We rescued her and she has been so sweet. She loves to run, play and be outside. She has some anxiety around loud noises and crowded places and would be happiest living in a calmer environment. We are going to be relocating soon to a downtown and do not feel this will be a good environment for her. Because of this we are looking for a home that will be better suited to her needs and she can be happier. We are trying to find her a home where she can run and play without being scared of loud noises. We have crates, food, harness, leash, and a food container that we can give you. Blu is a loving 6-year-old dog who has been part of our family since he was about 6 months old. I originally took him in from a college friend who could no longer keep him, and over the years he has lived with my best friend, my mom, my sister, and now, for the past two years, with me. No matter where he has been, he has always remained part of our family. Blu is fully trained, affectionate, playful, and loves attention, cuddles, belly rubs, food, and relaxing around the house. As he’s gotten older (and a little chunkier!), he’s just as happy lounging around with his people as he is playing. Blu has lived with both dogs and cats and can get along well with other animals, but he can become fearful, overly excited, or overwhelmed, which has led to fights with other dogs. Because of this, we believe he would be happiest and safest as the only pet in his new home. He has never bitten a person and does very well with people. We’re looking for a loving, responsible home for Blu.
