Story
NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS! AVAILABLE 2/18 Hi… I’m Cassie. Approximately 1 year old | 69 lbs | Labrador mix with a big heart and an even bigger future ahead of me. I’m a sweet girl. A little shy at first, but once I realize you’re kind, I melt. I came to the shelter when my family had to move and couldn’t take me with them. I was born and raised in one home and honestly… I didn’t see much of the world outside of it. Everything was familiar and safe there. So now I’m learning. I had a fenced yard, so I was never on a leash before. Wearing a collar feels new to me. Walks are new. Big new places are new. I wasn’t really socialized the way most puppies are, so I’m starting from scratch in some ways. But I promise I’m trying. I’m dog friendly and I really enjoy other dogs. The shelter staff thinks I should do well with older kids too. I haven’t been tested with cats yet, but they’ll update everyone once they know more. I may need a little help with potty training and basic manners. When I get excited, I sometimes jump. I just get so happy. I’m still very much a puppy at heart and I’m looking for someone willing to teach me structure, boundaries, and routine. The kind of home that understands I’m not behind… I’m just learning. The best part about me? I’m incredibly sweet. I want to please. I bond quickly. I have so much potential just waiting to bloom. With a little guidance and consistency, I know I’ll be an amazing addition to almost any family! If you’re looking for a gentle soul who just needs someone to show her the way, I’m right here.   Spayed, Heartworm & Lyme Negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Adoption fee is $100   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog   Once submitted, staff will review your application during open hours. If approved, staff will contact you to schedule a meet and greet! Any other dogs in the home must come to the meet and greet. Some dogs may require all family members to come to the meet & greet as well!  If it's a match, you can take home on the same day. Please allow 24-36 hours for a response, depending on the business hours in which you submitted your application. We do offer a 2 week foster to adopt trial time, to be sure the chosen pet is a good fit, before finalizing the adoption!    See all of our adoptable pets here:: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/adoptable-dogs-and-cats   Adoption Hours Monday & Saturday 11am-4pm Tuesday & Friday 11am-5pm Wednesday 11am-6pm Thursday & Sunday CLOSED ##2658589##

Story
Hi, I’m Bub. I’m about 3 years old and weigh 88 pounds of classic Lab personality. Big, happy, and always ready to be part of the action. I came to the shelter after my family had to move and couldn’t take me with them. I was raised in a home where I didn’t get much exposure to the outside world, so a lot of things are brand new to me. I've never really walked on a leash before and wearing a collar is something I’m still getting used to. My whole life I was used to my fenced in yard, so structure and routine are going to be important for me as I learn how to navigate this big world. The good news is I absolutely love people. I’m very friendly, affectionate, and thrive on attention. I’m the kind of dog who wants to be near you and involved in whatever you’re doing. I’d likely do well with respectful kids who understand I’m a large, enthusiastic guy. When it comes to other dogs, I seem friendly with female dogs but I’m not very fond of other male dogs, so a home without male dogs would likely be the best fit for me. I haven’t been tested with cats yet, so that’s still to be determined. I’m your typical happy go lucky Lab with energy to burn and a heart full of potential. I’ll need guidance, boundaries, and consistency to help me polish up my manners, but I’m eager to learn. With the right person, I’m going to be an incredible, loyal companion. If you’re looking for a big, joyful best friend who just needs a little direction and a lot of love, I’m ready to meet you. Neutered, Heartworm & Lyme Negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Adoption fee is $100   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog   Once submitted our staff will review during open hours. Story
Meet Gunner 3.5 years old | Labrador Mix | Male   • Came to us with his lifelong littermate after their owner could no longer care for them • Sweet, playful, and very affectionate  • A little unsure of new people at first, but warms up quickly • Great with kiddos • Crate trained and potty trained • Vocal and full of personality • Can be an escape artist, so a secure yard or supervision is important!   Other dogs: • Previous owner shared that he didn’t enjoy the company of other dogs • We believe this may change once he’s away from his sister   Cats: He doesn't seem aggressive, but a little too interested and definitely wants to chase them!  Food note: Allergic to chicken   Gunner is a loyal boy who just needs a little time to feel safe and then he’ll give you his whole heart.   Neutered, microchipped, Heartworm & Lyme Negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Story
Hi, I’m Hershey! 2 years old | Labrador Retriever mix | 68 pounds   I’m a happy go lucky guy with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. I came to the shelter with my daughter due to changes in my owner’s life circumstances, and now I’m ready for my next chapter!   I’m friendly, playful, and overall well mannered. I’m potty trained, crate trained, and good with kids. I really enjoy being around people and soaking up attention. I’m dog friendly and do well around other dogs. I’ve never been around cats before, so I haven’t been tested with them yet, but the shelter will update once they know more.   My previous owner did mention that I can be a bit of a chewer, so regular exercise and some guidance with boundaries will help me stay on track. I was also known to be an escape artist, so a secure fence or keeping me on a leash is best for me.    If you’re looking for a well mannered, playful, people loving guy who’s ready to be part of your family, submit an application!   Neutered, Heartworm & Lyme Negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Story
Buddy has been a lifelong companion to his owner, but she has needed to go into a nursing facility and we do not have the ability to house Buddy ourselves. He is a great, mild mannered dog who loves to play. He loves to go on walks and be your best friend. He would love a forever home where he could roam in the back yard and get a lot of attention.
