Story
Buddy has been a lifelong companion to his owner, but she has needed to go into a nursing facility and we do not have the ability to house Buddy ourselves. He is a great, mild mannered dog who loves to play. He loves to go on walks and be your best friend. He would love a forever home where he could roam in the back yard and get a lot of attention.

Story
Hi, I’m Bub. I’m about 3 years old and weigh 88 pounds of classic Lab personality. Big, happy, and always ready to be part of the action!   I came to the shelter after my family had to move and couldn’t take me with them. I was raised in a home where I didn’t get much exposure to the outside world, so a lot of things are brand new to me. I've never really walked on a leash before and wearing a collar is something I’m still getting used to. My whole life I was used to my fenced in yard, so structure and routine are going to be important for me as I learn how to navigate this big world. The good news is I absolutely love people. I’m very friendly, affectionate, and thrive on attention. I’m the kind of dog who wants to be near you and involved in whatever you’re doing. I’d likely do well with respectful kids who understand I’m a large, enthusiastic guy. When it comes to other dogs, I seem friendly with female dogs but I’m not very fond of other male dogs, so a home without male dogs would likely be the best fit for me. I haven’t been tested with cats yet, so that’s still to be determined. I’m your typical happy go lucky Lab with energy to burn and a heart full of potential. I’ll need guidance, boundaries, and consistency to help me polish up my manners, but I’m eager to learn. With the right person, I’m going to be an incredible, loyal companion. If you’re looking for a big, joyful best friend who just needs a little direction and a lot of love, I’m ready to meet you.   Neutered, Heartworm & Lyme Negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Adoption fee is SPONSORED for an approved adopter!   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog Once submitted, staff will review your application during open hours. Please allow 24-36 hours for a response. If approved, we will contact you to schedule a meet & greet! Any other dogs in the home must come along and some dogs may require all family members to come as well! If it's a match, you can your new dog home the same day. We do offer a 2 week foster to adopt trial time, to be sure the chosen pet is a good fit, before finalizing the adoption!    See all of our adoptable pets here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/adoptable-dogs-and-cats   Adoption Hours: Monday & Saturday 11am-4pm | Tuesday & Friday 11am-5pm | Wednesday 11am-6pm  | Thursday & Sunday CLOSED ##2658590##

Story
Hey, I’m Gunner! 3 year old Labrador mix | 62 lb | Love for snacks, belly rubs, and being close to my people   I came to the shelter with my sister after our owner could no longer care for us. That part of my story wasn’t my choice, but I’m ready for my next chapter. At first, I can be a little unsure with strangers but I warm up pretty quickly and then we’re good to go! Give me a minute, maybe a treat or two, and you’ll see my sweet side come out fast. I’m very food motivated and I LOVE affection, so bonding with me is easy. The good stuff about me: Potty trained Crate trained Good with female dogs Good with kids Loves attention and learning As for cats, I’m not aggressive, but I do want to chase if they run so I'd probably do best in a home without kitties or an experienced adopter who understands slow introductions and management.   I’m a typical lab in a lot of ways. I’ve got energy. I like to play. I’d thrive in a home that gives me structure, guidance, and helps me continue building confidence.   If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate best friend who bonds deeply and loves a good snack, I might be your guy. Come meet me. I warm up fast!   Neutered, microchipped, Heartworm & Lyme Negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. Adoption fee is $100   If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog   Once submitted, our staff will review during open hours. Story
Hi! I'm Sterling and I am about a year old. I am the the sweetest, goofiest boy you'll ever meet! I am pretty happy to be alive so I am pretty much always smiling! I can be a little shy of new people at first, but once I realize we are best friends, we are BEST FRIENDS. As you can see by my photos, I am a fan of rolling around in some good ole mud, so I am likely a big fan of water too (comes with the lab territory. if you know, you know). I'm pretty dog friendly and enjoy a good tussle! I am pretty tolerant of other doggos and even let them chew on me for fun... Now eventually I get back into the ring and show them whose boss but I still play with a great nature behind me. I am listed as good with kids over the age of 12 because, unless you have some training experience or are willing to put me into some good training, I get over excited when I see kids and I have grabbed their clothing pretty roughly. While I think I have good intentions behind my actions (I am trying to play like I do with other dogs), this behavior is not for every family.Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

Story
Meet Colby Jack, a handsome lab mix and at 6 years old ready for a life he deserves. Impounded from a hoarding case Colby came in with 6 other dogs. He is a happy go lucky guy who is ready to play. Colby enjoys his walks and loves play time. One always willing to have his belly rubbed at the drop of a hat, this middle age guy is ready for a new start. Colby has never know a normal life so he will need some adjustment time to learn what its like to live in a home and to be apart of a family. Colby is definitely worth the time in effort it will take to teach him all he needs to know. He will pay you back with endless love and unwavering companionship.Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! Story
Hello world! My name is Sheba and I am 3 years old! I am a sweet, plump girl that is looking for a couch or comfy bed to snooze on! Like Penelope, I am very sweet, VERY sweet, but I came from a home with quite a few other dogs and I have not met a lot of humans that were not my people. Strangers can be scary at first, but once I realize how kind you are, I will enjoy your presence! I am used to a warm couch and warm bodies to sleep next to, so I am a little confused on why I am on cold concrete all day, separated from my friends. I get to see them every once in a while of course, but I miss snuggling in a warm home. I do well with other dogs, and I would do well with kids too. If you have the ability, please come out to meet me and please be patient with me.Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me!
